"Dudley's was recommended by a local business professional acquaintance of mine. He hit it on the spot as "the place to be seen". A bit pricy but well worth it as the atmosphere was great, waiter was exceptional, and the food was fantastic; oysters-on-the-half-shell, seared salmon, vegetables, and desert to name a few; the wine list great and offered a wide range of prices for everyone from $35 to over $250 per bottle. Everyone in our party raved about the place! Can't wait to visit Lexington again."

"Visiting Lexington and never tried the restaurant. Started with the county ham fritters. Enough to share and they were amazing. Had the wilted Brussels sprout salad and it was gone in a heartbeat. Would love this recipe. Husband had the lamb chop which he cleaned his plate. I had the hikes fricasses on recommendation of our server. It was very good but the ends of he hickey were a bit dried out. Service was good. Would go back."

"My wife and I recently had dinner at Dudley's for our anniversary, and it could not have been better. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. We were greeted and sat immediately. Our server was had a wonderful demeanor, and checked on us just the right amount.

The service, food, and ambiance were equally outstanding. You just can't find a "Golden Horseshoe" shrimp cocktail reminiscent of old Lexington. Diners are ladies and gentlemen and appear dressed the part with few exceptions (shorts and T-shirts: go to Arby's!)

"I love the elegant, relaxed feel of Dudley's on Short. This is always a stop on my frequent visits to the area. The food is inventive as well as excellent. Enjoyed a duck dish while my companion ordered salmon. The food was served at the perfect temperature, delicious and artfully presented. "We had a wonderful meal at Dudley's. Not only was our server Steve knowledgeable and helpful, he did a great job of supplying our needs without being obtrusive. Must be a mind reader! The warm brussel sprout salad is delicious (I urge you to try it even if you don't think you like brussel sprouts). The lamp chops are 2 double cut chops and were perfectly cooked. The 'small plate' paella is a perfect portion for most diners as an entree and is loaded with flavor."

"We were wowed by everything except the menu choices and then the food was not up to our expectations. There are no menu choices or mention of options for vegetarians. Although I was able to order an item without the meat, there of course is not discount on the meal.

"Our server was ok. He didn't mention specials to us. After we ordered we heard other servers ( and ours too) tell customers about the specials. It's very expensive so it is definitely a place for special occasions."

"Went there for Valentines Day dinner it my girl friend like what she ordered, I got the the special steak it was real tough and had a weird orange sauce it wasn't very good the veggies were a bit bland but good, I did like the mushroom stuffing. I was pretty expensive but even though I wasn't impressed with the food the service was excellent very friendly seemed like they cared about my experience there.
