A modern version of the 1940 seafood houses of the Atlantic shore, Tin Fish brings a family friendly sophisticated dinner house to the south suburbs of Chicago. Quality is always our first priority; all of our seafood is flown it in six days a week, always carefully inspected and only the highest quality is accepted. Menus are created daily with seasonal offerings from land and sea emphasizing seasonal ingredients for their superior taste and freshness. "While we were visiting Tinley Park, our hostess at the Hampton Inn highly recommended the Tin Fish. What a wonderful recommendation. The food was excellent and the Pastry Chef is fantastic. But I would be remiss if I did not highly praise our waiter Robert S. who told us about the special menu for the day in great detail. His suggestions were great and beyond our expectations. We were so pleased that we made reservations and went back the next night and enjoyed a new special menu and the wonderful food. What a great restaurant!"

"My wife and I went to Tin Fish for dinner on Mother's Day. We're not usually seafood lovers, but were excited to try it after reading the online reviews. Tin Fish did not disappoint. It was fairly easy to find, and the complimentary valet was very nice (given its location in a strip mall, parking is at a premium. I was expecting a bit more upscale interior, but the ambiance was very warm and inviting. Our server was excellent, and my wife really enjoy his suggestion of the blackened whitefish. The portions were ample (the salad could easily have been shared by two), the presentation was gorgeous and the food was delicious. We will be returning."

"Acoustics are poor so it tends to get VERY loud when crowded. Before it got to the maximum size crowd, service was excellent. Once the crowd picked up, service declined. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter only poured our first glass. We had to ask for our check as we were headed to a concert. Allow two hours. Food is FANTASTIC, but not a place for a quiet, romantic dinner."

"Came here on a random Friday night. I was very pleased with the selection and quality of the food as so many suburban places get a bad rep for the quality of seafood. My boyfriend had the triple lobster tail and I had to persuade him to share! I had the special of bay scallops in a lemon butter scallops and they were amazing! So fresh and so sweet! There were so many things on the menu I wish I could've ordered them all! We will definitely be back. This place is a great place for quality seafood in the burbs!"

"Outstanding to Excellent. Very enjoyable meal, creative mix of food and excellent presentation as well, for this special occasion for our Valentine dinner. Which, we have learned after 47 years of marriage: don't fight the crowds, go the day before or day after. This was sure the right approach for this dinner! We will surely, not wait so long between visits."

"Seafood is definately the best you can get on the SOUTH SIDE of Chicago. It is always fresh and prepared perfectly. The chef definately gives it that expensive downtown seafood restaurant presentation. Great place to eat and the service is great always."

"My fiancé and I went here for our valentines weekend dinner and had a great experience! We have been here 2 other times and loved it! The calamari was amazing, best we ever had! My fiancé orders the fried shrimp everytime and loves it. I ordered the fish tacos and they were good but lacked a little flavor. I order fish tacos everywhere I go if they are on the menu because I love fish tacos but these weren't the best. Overall our experience was great but next time I'd go back to ordering the Ecuadorian mahi with a side pairing because that is what I ordered the two other times we were there and loved it!! I always recommend this place to friends! Keep doing what you're doing, you guys have a great business going!"

"We had a group of 7. The service was fair. Received everything in a timely manner, but without a smile. He seemed more like we were bothering him. The food was bland. A common complaint across the table. I never use salt when dining out, but this meal required it. Even the desserts were bland. Nothing had any flavor. For the cost $300 excluding tip, it was not worth it. We had high hopes of making this an annual gathering place, but we will be looking for another restaurant to attend next year."

""Ambiance": 2 men were being overserved at the bar & making loud racial slurs while we ate at a table in the bar area. They even acknowledged us at several points. They stumbled out to the parking lot & drove away, luckily to a nearby hotel, from what we overheard.
Regarding the food: I ordered the blackened tuna & was told it had a nice spicy char on it. It was tasteless.
The bill was far greater than the experience."

"We had the Florida Wahoo and lake Superior Whitefish - both were excellent and moderately priced. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Even though it was a busy Valentine's Day, we were not rushed. Tin Fish was a very good experience. We will be returning there for more good meals."
