"Food was OK. We were celebrating my son's 15th birthday and he brought a friend. The waitress never asked it they wanted something else to drink besides water. She basically ignored them throughout which I found annoying as she knew we were celebrating his birthday. While we had made reservations several days in advance, we were seated at a table right in the traffic pattern. Servers were constantly bumping up against us as they came through. I love Capital Grille - but this was not their best night."

"had Brunch with you all on mothers day. service was very good - food was average to good. we waited over 40 minutes to receive our entrees. they were not hot , they were just warm. this was very disappointing for was a special day - mothers day which was attended by my wife and 2 sons. for $300 ( including tip) would have expected more. Have dined with you prior - which was a better experience."

"We have eaten at Capital Grille many times and I actually feel like it just keeps getting better! I took my mother Friday night for Mother's Day and I just can't say enough good things. The service was perfect, my mom loved the ambiance and the food was phenomenal. The outdoor deck is great for dining and people watching, but was already a little warm to eat out there this time. If the weather cooperates, I highly recommend dining out there."

"Capital Grille is one of those places that is perfect for having lunch where you can sit quietly and discuss business or simply have a conversation with a friend. I love their sour dough basket; the service is always above par and the food can be as light as you choose up to having a heavy steak...whatever anyone prefers. The servers don't rush you through the meal and seem to be pretty savvy that way knowing when to interrupt or not. Great spot and valet parking is comp'd. Very efficient in and out luncheon while still keeping a tad of elegance into the mix."

"Capital Grille is one of our top picks for special occasions. The service, food, wine, and ambience are consistently excellent. We were celebrating my birthday, and it was a pleasant surprise to have a beautiful long-stem red rose on the table, along with birthday greetings from the staff. Plus, they brought me a complimentary creme brûlée with fresh berries and a birthday candle. In addition to a great basic menu, there are always tempting specials. Family and friends love going to Capital Grille! It's always an elegant, fantastic experience."

"Took my husband there for his birthday and when making the reservation I did mention it to them. We arrived 5 minutes early and they brought us right in and to our surprise they had our table decorated and had a birthday card for my husband. Our appetizer calamari with hot peppers was absolutely delicious and portions were more than enough for the two of us. My husband had the filet mignon which was extremely tender , moist and OUTSTANDING !! For dessert we ordered Creme brûlée which was also fabulous. Overall our experience was EXCELLENT , they are very attentive to your needs and go out of their way to please you. They ended the night with taking a picture of me and my husband for his special night and gave it to us."

"I took my mother for her birthday & having a perfect experience, we returned for mine. This one was very good;not to the level of the first. Ordered a salad that never came. Mother's dressing was not warm as listed,& chairs were being moved around & slammed into our champagne bucket. We had to ask for the check after a long wait, my champagne glass was away mistakenly, & I had to wave someone down for another. My mother's steak was overdone, my lamb was perfect, the truffle fries were slightly tough;the coffee was slightly bitter & spilled into the saucer.BUT,they brought roses, a shawl for the cold & complementary champage.The valets are for the entire mall and are terrible.This is a wonderful restaurant but this was a little disappointing"

"Outstanding as always. We went with another couple who were celebrating their 40th anniversary. We requested a special table and were not disappointed. Immediately seated upon arrival with the table decorated and a nice Happy Anniversary card. The table was in a secluded spot...quite special. The service, food and ambiance were outstanding and at the end of the meal, we were presented with glasses of champaign and a wonderful desert for four...on the house. Can't say enough nice things about a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, superb service and GREAT food. Highly recommend!!"

"decided to hit the capital grille for the first time. overall it was a great experience. our waiter TERRY was a dream, so attentive and friendly! we were tucked into one of the dining room areas, so it was a great spot to actually have a conversation and not have to strain to hear each other.

"Overall very good, our servers were very attentive and the steaks were great. The porcini rubbed, balsamic drizzled delmonico was flavorful and tender. Truffle fries were average and seem to be a trend whose time has past. At $100+ per person I'm not convinced it is a great value, but I knew that going in. If you want to experience the Capital Grille, stick with lunch."

"I have been to 6 or 7 of the Capital Grilles across the country and I have never had a bad meal. For those on a tighter budget (i.e. no expense account), I suggest going there for lunch, as they always seem to have specials that are incredibly reasonable. I took my Dad there for lunch and we each ordered from their special lunch menu. I had the lobster salad sandwich (which was loaded with large pieces of lobster claw) and my Dad had the seared scallops. Both came with a cup of clam chowder and truffle french fries. Everything was delicious and all for under $40!"

"Both of us ordered the ribeye / Delmonico steak and were highly disappointed in the presentation and flavor of the meat. Both steaks were gray looking as if they were boiled and neither of them were seared leaving that great grilled smell and taste.
While the appetizer and salads were good we will more than likely never dine there again as there are other places we'd prefer to go when spending $300 for a romantic and delicious dinner."

"We've been to several other Capital Grille locations. All have been good but this is the one I liked the least. The food and service were very good (although be prepared to pay top dollar) but the ambiance was not good for a romantic evening out. The noise level was very high both at the bar and table. So much so that my wife and I gave up trying to have a conversation. I would recommend it for a business lunch or dinner but not for a couple's night out."

"Our visit to The Capital Grille in Tampa Florida was to celebrate Valentines day. We were promptly seated and our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The atmosphere was quiet and lovely.
The calamari was delicious. However, I was very disappointed in the quality of the blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad as it tasted bottled. The tomatoes were also very over ripe. My Ribeye steak was ordered medium-well but was charred far too much on the outside (too many bitter, burnt areas)We did not send it back as we did not want to be late to another engagement. The overall dinner was just good and for $200+ I would like it to be excellent. We don't believe we will be dining there on another occasion."

"Fantastic service from the front desk through the meal. I can't say we've ever had better. The wine, the meal, the service throughout just can't be beat. The Tampa lovation at the International Mall is very energetic and getting a secluded table is a challenge but it did not take away from the overall experience. "This restaurant definitely kept up to it's name! My girlfriend and I celebrated our 5yr anniversary and this outing was a night to remember. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted by name--which I thought was pretty neat,our table was decorated with red rose petals, little heart confetti pieces and a card saying "Happy Anniversary!" Our waitress was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. The service was excellent and our dishes were superb! The night ended with a complimentary champagne toast and dessert--chosen by our waitress, and a photo, which she printed out for us and put in a little card as a keepsake. This restaurant has very well earned its FIVE stars and we will be coming back!"
