"Our first time there, and we were celebrating our 39th Anniversary! Great choice. We mentioned that it was our first time there and she seated us at the best table with perfect view. We were very impressed with the service, the view and the food. We will definitely go back to Muddy Rudder again! Our waiter was fabulous. The piano playing in the background was beautiful too!"

"My wife and I enjoyed a very leisure dining experience this past Sunday afternoon. The appetizer of popcorn shrimp was fresh and not overcooked, our seafood dinners of baked seafood and scampi were cooked to perfection with great presentation and taste. We elected for the suggested wine pairings which was a perfect choice on our part. The Muddy Rudder is a great dining experience for that special occassion or no occassion at all. We wiil return again."

"While the food itself and our server were terrific... my experience at Muddy Rudder was somewhat dampened by two things..... First-- prices quoted on the drink menu were inaccurate-- we were charged $1 more per drink on the actual bill-- They need to update their menus so that these are in sync. Secondly, we ordered one of the specials for the evening... while the meal was fantastic-- we were never informed of the price ahead of time-- and were shocked to see that is was SOOO MUCH MORE expensive than anything else on the menu. I would suggest that the servers-- when telling the diners about the specials that they also state the price... very simple and most restaurants do this. Despite all of this -- I would go back again."

"This restaurant experience was excellent. The service was top notch and our server was informative, knowing the menu extremely well. I had 3 oysters for an app served on half shell. I usually do not use cocktail sauce, only Tabasco but their homemade cocktail sauce was great. My entree was Asian Sea Bass with a Lobster Avacado Salsa. Awesome! My husband had an old stand-by, fried clams and they were done perfect and crisp. I did not have dessert because there just wasn't any room. A great time!"

"This was a fine place for a large-group birthday celebration. The waiter was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we all enjoyed our entrees. My husband has a lot of dietary restrictions and he was pleased with the gluten-free menu and the willingness of the cooking staff to prepare his meal without dairy products. He left the restaurant full and without stomach pain - quite unusual for him! The groupon "deal" was also wonderful and I would buy it again if it popped up, but I'd also be willing to go here for any special occasion at "regular" prices. I wish we lived closer!"

"I don't think open table should have accepted our reservation. We booked the evening before Easter, and were given the 11:30 or 12:15 reservations. We booked for 12:15 and the restaurant was packed. Our table was in front of the kitchen's double doors. We had kitchen staff; patrons, and waitstaff going by our table constantly. I felt like we were in the middle of the dining room; our table an island in this busy room. Our tablecloth got jostled by people going by. Not an enjoyable experience. I think our table was put there to generate more $$$ for the restaurant owners, but it was placed in a high traffic area. The food was good, and the service good. Our overall experience, though, not good."

"I was sooo impressed with the services I believe her name was Jun she was great with a greatsense of humor, the food was great I generally do not like Calumarie Squid but I could not get enough of thwe squid it was tastey, Suculent, fresh and I loved it every thing from the rolls on was perfect we are so glad we went to the muddy rudder some friends of ours said it wasn't what it once was they were right it's better thank you and we will be back."

"We met old friends for a leisurely lunch overlooking the water. The food was excellent; clam chowder was delicious, haddock sandwich outstanding. It was busy, but quiet enough for conversation, a real treat when joining friends for a meal. My mouth waters at the thought of returning for their fabulous clam chowder. A great place!"
