"We had a group of 7. Two were from the west coast and wanted to experience the North End. We all enjoyed our dinner, wine list and appetizers. Quite an extensive list of appetizers. Pasta dishes were reasonably priced, for the North End, other entrees were more expensive."

"We were in town for the Bruins game which they knew. Got us drinks early and kept the flow going so we enjoyed dinner at a perfect pace and left in time for the easy walk to the Garden. Well done by all involved, including the Bruins who came back and won in OT!"

"My son and I dined late, after attending a Bruins, Blue Jays match. The service was attentive without being intrusive. I had the eggplant appetizer which was delicious, then moved on to the lamb shank which was met-in-your-mouth tender. My son enjoyed a crisp Caesar salad adorned with fresh shaved cheese followed by an excellent veal dish. My only regret was our inability to try everything on the menu. We will just have to come back again and again tinwork our way through all the offerings."

"We had a fabulous celebration dinner here this weekend.Our daughter and her fiancé were in town for her birthday and we wanted to celebrate their engagement too. We love the zucchini flowers for an appetizer.My husband had the prosciutto which was great. We had various pastas which were all cooked just right. Then they surprised us with a full strawberry shortcake with Best Wishes written on it for the bride and groom to be. It was an awesome night. Great food,atmosphere and service."

"This was our second trip to Bricco and we were as happy this time as the first visit. The atmosphere is comfortable yet elegant, the food outstanding and the service impeccable. Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list he helped me with my choices and I was extremely pleased. For appetizers I ordered the cappaccio which was some of the best I've ever had. My son had a dish (I can't recall what it was) with giant shrimp in it which he described as "exquisite". I had the pasta "pillows" stuffed with ricotta that were fabulous.
I also have to mention that the waiter was a lot of fun. He was very relaxed and had a great sense of humor, but also was excellent at his job. Next time I'm in Boston, I'll be back!"

"Whenever we are in Boston we always go to Bricco. It is a great place for a celebration and the food is always delicious. We had a nice table upstairs looking out a window with a beautiful flowering tree. Our food was great; I had the pumpkin tortelli and my boyfriend had the shrimp fra diavolo. Even though we didn't have our usual server, the gentleman we had that evening did a great job. Definitely will be back."

"Every meal is delicious. Bricco does not serve the chain restaurant style menu of lasagna, veal parmesan, and spaghetti & meatballs. It does offer great veal, lamb, seafood, and fresh homemade pasta dishes. Always listen to their daily specials which are fresh and delicious. The dining crowd is all there for the food and a good evening. The wrap around bar looks inviting although I have never eaten there. Maybe next time. This is my favorite North End restaurant. Wine and cocktail prices are reasonable. Service is impeccable."

"The waiter didn't check on us at after the food arrived. The food was not really warm and although it was reastaurant week, the portion were small. "Went on a Friday night at 9. Got our table immediately. Didn't really click with the waiter - always a bad thing. We shared dishes. All the food was good - but average. Friends had built up the place and it didn't live up to the rep."

"For the price, the food was mediocre. I had a brick chicken and the chicken seemed like it had been boiled before it was roasted--it was stringy and dry. The skin was tough. I expect much higher quality."

"Overall a good experience but extremely busy and chaoic during restaurant week.
Food - Delicious. Entree portions were perfect. Gnochetti was especially good.
Service- Disappointed in this area. We had a reservation for 8 and we were not seated until 8:30 right after we asked the hostess for an update on our table. Appetizers came out fairly fast but then there was a huge wait for our entrees and once again they came out right after we asked our waiter where our meals were which makes me think we were forgotten about. Waiter was very nice but our hopes were not to be out until 10 with an 8:00 reservation.
Ambiance - Very lively although loud and close quarters for a couple that wants to chat (to be expected in the north end though!)."

"The second we asked for a restaurant-week menu, the level of service shifted. I understand that restaurants are not fans of restaurant week, but to ignore one table for 15 minutes at a time while serving every other table in the room is obnoxious. The food was delicious, but we would opt for several other places in the North End before we would return here."

"Food was excellent! Was a bit disappointed they did not have the zucchini flower appetizer as stated on the Restaurant Week menu and wish they had told us beforehand. Otherwise, the service was superb, and it was definitely worth the visit. I definitely plan on returning back to Bricco soon as it has become a new favorite of mine in the North End district."

"Food amazing. Restaurant week-waiter approached "what can I get you" moments after we sat. No introduction, no suggestions, no "questions about the menu?" My first time to Bricco. We felt rushed. Did not offer restaurant week menu and made us feel uncomfortable asking. They were out of the appetizer my friend ordered so we asked for a suggestion. His response: "don't order from that menu". I get it, "no signature dishes on restaurant week menu". To me, what's the point of participating? Wine recommendation, most expensive glass-$16. Would have been okay if explanation wasn't "I just like it better". With a little pushing he did add "less body". Error on bill, not credited for reservation w/ OT.Food amazing Disappointing first experience."

"To bricco's defense we went during restaurant week. The place was packed and service was very slow. We couldn't get our check for about 20 minutes. Otherwise the food was wonderful and the ambiance is charming. I would definitely go back but at a quieter time."

"Overall the whole experience was great. Our waiter was amazing when we sat in the dining room. He didn't rush us at all, and the food was fantastic! After dinner, my friend and I moved to the bar - that is when the experience started to go downhill. The blonde bartender was horrific - she was extremely rude. Our original bartender was amazing, I didn't catch her name, but she was attentive, talkative, nice, etc. She had an amazing accent as well. I would dine at Bricco again, but I would double check who is bartending prior to sitting down at the bar."

"My husband and I tried this spot out for Restaurant Week. The restaurant was hopping and pretty loud and we were very happy we made a reservation. The tables are pretty close together and there is a lot of noise-impossible not to overhear/compete with the table next to you, but the food was excellent. They brought out bread and a few dips to start. My husband had Salmon, which he said he loved and I got a truffle rissoto, which I thought was excellent (it was also a large portion). Bread putting for dessert? Also very good. The waitress was OK- she was fast but not very friendly. Since it was restaurant week, I was a little surprised they were not advertising their restaurant week menu and I was a little annoyed I had to ask for it."

"We booked here for restaurant week on a Tuesday evening. We were seated quickly in the fairly small dining room where the tables are very close together. The waiters are very polite and unassuming but there were gaps when we didn't see anyone plus the table next to us had orders taken first even though we were seated before them. We also had to ask for the restaurant week menu. Breads are excellent, all the food was great although portions seemed small, maybe because we were ordering off the prix fixe. It is noisy so can be hard to make conversation but the atmosphere is great. If you want it a little quieter, tables started emptying out significantly around 9pm."

"Upon entering Bricco there was no greeting from any of the 4 people at the hostess stand. We had to go back three times to ask if our table was ready. The bartender was awesome. We had a drink while waiting and he was the best ever. The waiter never said a word to us other than to take our order. Never came back to our table once he served dinner and cleared. We ran out of there and went elesewhere for after dinner drinks."
