"The service has never been good and this continues. There is a lot of staff, but they seem to hide. Water is not refilled, nor was our ice tea. Takes forever to get the check. More importantly, the turnover of chefs continues. Also, one of the chefs was checking his phone quite a bit and unclear if he was washing his hands afterwards. The sushi is good."

"Kakui features exquisite sushi, designer rolls, fresh ingredients and fabulous service. There's a couple small tables outside for dining al fresco. The ambience inside is warm, attractive and inviting. The small number of tables means the noise is kept to a low hum. Excellent, attentive service - hardly any waiting."

"Our experience was horrible. The hostess saw us come in (she was at the bar) but delayed in welcoming us. After being seated others who were seated after us were waited on first. It took nearly 15 minutes before we were served water. Our appetizers and entress were served simultaneously. The hostess offered to take the entrees back to the kitchen but acknowledged that they would be cold when returned to us. Needless to say, it will be a while before we return here. (I must say that the food was good, however)."
