"Went for brunch with a friend. I have been raving about the Liberty House, as I like to celebrate my birthday (in the summer) there. I have never been there for brunch, and both of us were not disappointed. Waiter was great, he spaced out our apps and our main courses. He gave good suggestions, as well. Food was amazing, as usual. We shared the tuna tartar tacos and the quiche(quiche is on the main menu, but we shared). Both were outstanding. I had the short rib sandwich, and that was beyond delicious. My friend had the Chorizo and Spinach Hash, and there was not a crumb left on her plate. We shared the flourless chocolate cake and had a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream with it, both were excellent. Will we be back? Um, YES !!"

"We were celebrating my wife's 31st birthday. The service was outstanding and very punctual, they meet all of our requests. Food came amaisingly delicious, all six of us were pleasantly surprised of what a great discovery was this restaurant."

"Like in my Zagat review, the food and service are pretty good. However the manager who was both rude and crude damped the experience. He came to our table 9 minutes after our reservation time, like a Paulie Walnuts wanna be, and demanded to know where the rest of our party was (delayed in the Holland Tunnel.) This despite the fact that the identical table next to ours didn't fill until well after the rest of our party arrived (10 minutes later.)
If he's the owner he should fire himself."

"The view makes up for all the minuses the place has
It was surprising the number of items not available on the drink menu for a Sunday. They were out of mint for mojitos and of any French press coffee and herbal teas & infusions
Food was decent but menu needs a revamp. It's been exactly the same for the past year and a half.
I had crispy calamari as an appetizer (ok without any plus) and angus steak burger for entree ( a bit bland and dry)
Blueberry cheesecake was pretty good
Service was really helpful and nice

"My guests were blown away by the wonderful view of Manhattan. We enjoyed our starters - calamari, organic greens salad and a Bibb salad. The four bread choices were delicious but my personal favorite is the olive. The lamb chops and the filet mignon were big hits. Unfortunately or encrusted scallops were both very salty and floating in oil. In fairness the staff offered to exchange our dishes.
This particular night, there were a number of weddings going on and the noise both from them and the trio playing in the dining room felt overwhelming.
I was a bit disappointed that Liberty House didn't quite live up to my expectations but my guests for the most part were pleased."

"We came for dinner to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend. The staff we welcoming and acknowledged our special occasion. The waitstaff was excellent ad attentive. The food was amazing and came out very quickly. I would recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning."

"I love the Liberty House. My wife and I were married there 2 years ago but had fallen in love with the place long before then. We make it a point to go back once a season and it is always as good as we remember. Their staff is top notch run beautifully by the GM Carlo who always treats us like family. This is a rare gem where the food and service live up to the billion dollar view!"

"The food was excellent. Honestly, the best appetizer was the tomato jam, blue cheese and parm crisps. Sounds so simply but the layers of flavor were amazing. Even my fiance was blown away by it and he initally thought it looked "okay". I am lucky I got more than one bite!

"We went here for dinner during Hudson restaurant week. Our reservation was at 9pm and it was super busy. The bar was packed and many table were still seated. The food was great and our server was lovely. The band was just too loud though. We had to scream at each other to have a conversation and we had to repeatedly ask our server to repeat herself. I would definitely return but would try to sit on the complete opposite end of the band in order to have some relief from the noise."

"Had an amazing brunch for my mom's 60th birthday. Staff was patient with our celebration and attentive to our needs. Cocktails are to die for, a lot of creative mixes using exoctic liquors.
