What the critics say about Savore "The featherlight pasta should make any Tuscun proud especially when tossed with a fine wild boar ragu" Ruth Reichl NEW YORK TIMES "Savore has the palpable ring of a true trattoria and serves food most Americans never thought could taste so good until now - at least on this side of the Atlantic" John Mariani WINE SPECTATOR "I Have found further unenriched satisfaction with plainly grilled fish, lightly napped with white wine and lemon zest..." Andy Birsh GOURMET MAGAZINE "SOHO certainly claims its fair share of jam-packed eateries. Savore serves solid Northern Italian cooking, complemented by an excellent selection of wines. Savore Has been selected as a notable restaurant in its category and is recommended by MICHELIN's team of professional inspectors. "Savore is not just another Italian restaurant. Its menu is based on Florentine dishes from Renaissance, and the moment you walk in, you feel like in Florence" Maria Hodgson NEW YORK OBSERVER
"Consistently very good food and service. Always enjoyable. Charming decor. Note: Sit away from the door especially in cooler weather. They leave it open and it can become uncomfortable, unless you like eating in the cold."

"We went there for our anniversary, having eaten there a few weeks before. We sampled many dishes--one better than the next. Paolo is the consummate host. He was attentive, and his staff was right on it. This is one of the New York favorites for us."

"LOVE Savore. It makes me feel as if I am dining at a friend's house in Italy. Every time I have been there I truly have enjoyed it. Paolo and his team there make it look easy but we see how much care and attention they spend. Every dish has benn consistently great. Highly recommend this gem."

"We were visiting from Boston and really enjoyed our dinner. We had a lovely dinner with seven family members. Food was interesting and pleasing to all, service was excellent, and it was a welcome escape from the crowds in Soho. My son is very picky and he had stellar reviews of his salmon."

"A little turned off by the waiter outside the front door hawking customers. Restaurant was almost empty and we were squeezed in a corner (did make a reservation). Food was good for the most part - lamb chops, pasta and desserts were the best selection. The Italian music was overbearing, but the service attentive but businesslike."

"Savore was recommended by a friend who dines out with his girlfriend a lot. I wanted a charming place with good food to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The location is terrific and the staff are friendly and attentive. I arrived early and they had no problem seating me while I waited. I started with the Mista salad and the best that I can say is it was green. It tasted and looked tired. She had the Galletto dish and I ordered the duck special. Neither was particularly great or inspired. Overall because of the staff, they arrived with a chocolate cake & candle right on cue, it was a good evening. I can't recommend it based on the food unfortunately or ambience. It has a neighborhood restaurant vibe and feel."

"All the food was from fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The swordfish special was the best I have had. The flat bread appetizer from their brick oven was incredible along with the pizzas. They have an extensive 1/2 bottle wine list. The service was attentive and on spot."

"Savore was quite a find in Soho. It is unassuming from the street, but once you step in the door, the warmth and charm of the restaurant come alive. The food was some of the best Northern Italian cuisine I have ever had, including restaurants in Italy. I started with the grilled octopus and asparagus appetizer which was the best dish I had during our long weekend in NYC. All the dishes, including my niece's pizza (baked in a wood fired oven), were wonderful and you could tell that the proprietor takes great pride in what he offers and what he is doing. Highly recommended!"

"The atmosphere was very nice, with a wood burning type oven to make the most delicious foccacia bread. We tried this restaurant during restaurant week and we were very pleased that we made this choice. The staff were extremely friendly, and the pasta portions were quite large. The mussel appetizer was very good. I would have liked a little thicker sauce but they were very tender. The penne with the veal ragu was the best I have ever had, and the salmon with the dijon sauce was also quite tasty. I look forward to going back again."

"Checked this place out for restaurant week 2013. They get points mainly for the very attentive server. I like to support small places because the staff always pours their heart out. The food was good, but not to die-for. I would still probably eat here again, just because everyone was so nice and the menu was not too high-priced."
