"Was visiting PA area with my boyfriend, it was Mother's Day so most restaurants were booked. I had a conference that ran late so we were keen to eat somewhere nearby but delicious. Bushido had a great menu - seafood and Asian flair (recommend the 3 mushroom fried rice and spicy edamame!). We were lucky enough to score an outside table and our server was kind enough to put the heat lamp on. Overall the service was fantastic and I would definitely recommend eating here!"

"Japanese style tapas ia very conducive to a romantic dinner as each of the dishes is meant for sharing.
Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. It was either too salty or it was too bland. There didn't seem to be much in between.
The fried calamari was nicely crunchy but rather tasteless without the mustard dipping sauce as was the chicken karaage. Fortunately, we had plenty of salty sauce that we scraped off the bacon mochi okonomiyaki and the Kuromitsu Beef, which were delicious but drowning in too much of the sweet salty sauce.
The sashimi sampler was good, but one of the fish which should have been delicate was decidedly fishy, so we questioned the freshness."

"Came here on a date-night, and had a decent experience. Although the food and service were good, I wouldn't say that it was extraordinary. A couple of the items on the menu (particularly the 3-Mushroom Fried Rice & Miso-Glazed Cod) were a hit, and the bar offered a nice variety of drinks (for those that drink, since I don't). The server was nice and friendly, and seemed to be experienced, as he didn't write anything down when we ordered (and didn't make any errors). The spot is somewhere between casual & upscale Japanese, but it is a good place to spend a casual evening w/ a few friends or family."

"The menu is not extensive but is creative. The seating is roomy and comfy and the ambiance is relaxing. The reservation staff has accomodated my request for a corner table to allow the kids more room to walk around."

"The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. My friends had the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu and felt that their steak was overcooked. This was just average Japanese food. I would not recommend this restaurant."

"Eclectic menu (good selection of basics too) with great happy hour specials. Not your normal suhshi place. Food was great, service very good, even with a full house.. Enjoyed the ‘small plates’… we will be back.."

"What a find! Really great Izakaya food, at a reasonable price. Gyoza seems like such an ordinary dish, but here they are juicy, flavorful and beautifully crisp. Okonomiyaki doesn't show up much around here, but Bushido nails it. The kurubota pork buns may copy NY's Momofuko, but they are at least as good. And the white chocolate - green tea fondue was the perfect ending. Go!"

"Bushido has an interesting and unusual menu, and the warm wait staff knows the food and drinks and what to recommend. We have been there twice and attempted to order something different each time. We were not disappointed--everything we ate was delicious and perfectly prepared. We have had two of the three okonomiyaki dishes, which are a house specialty, and they rock. They describe it as a Japanese savory pancake, but they're so much more. They're flavorful, rich, and delicate. They also have a great drink list. I loved the sake sangria. We ended our meal with the green tea and white chocolate fondue with fresh fruit. Save room for this!"

"Bushido was an excellent experience. We ate there on a Wednesday, so the restaurant was not crowded and the service was excellent. The menu has a good range of options with different Izakaya options - small plates to be shared around. We ordered a range of dishes - the sashimi was fresh and delicious and the beef sukiyaki was interesting and tasty. The best dish was the three mushroom fried rice - wonderful. We had never had okonomiyaki (japanese pancake) before and tried it - it was good, though probably not something that we would order again (personal choice, nothing wrong with the dish itself as far as I could make out) Overall it was a great combination of excellent food and service at a pretty decent price. Worth a try."
