Mirai Sushi's sleek & lively setting combines modern elegance with a twinge of funk while introducing a modern approval to Japanese cuisine. The menu juxtaposes traditional Japanese selections with a variety of ingredients from other cultures to create dishes from around the globe. The upstairs bar boasts 30 varieties of sake & the sushi menu changes daily to feed the customers knowledge of the art of sushi.
"- Great sushi, fresh and well prepared to order - Drinks menu is A+++ (try the lichee or cucumber cocktail) - Service is engaged and friendly; and willing to adjust for the more fussy palate"

"Hard to express properly how great my experience at Mirai was, so I will keep it short. The food was fantastic! The wait staff was well versed in all the foods and made great suggestions. The place is well decorated and even sitting at the bar, the noise level was light enough to easily have a conversation without speaking above your regular volume. We even had a chance to speak with the owner of the restaurant and she couldn't have been nicer or happier that people come and enjoy themselves at her restaurant. It's a little expensive for sushi, but it's still a good value. The only downside, and this is not an inditement of the restaurant as much as the neighborhood, is that you'll have to do valet."

"I was recommended this location from a friend. The appetizer was good, service a little on the slow side, I asked for no wasabi cream sauce on my order and it was on it. A little over priced for mediocre sushi"

"Mirai Sushi is hands down one of the best places in the city. My husband and I dine here a LOT. It's worth every penny. The food is far fresher than most sushi places in the city. We love the special cocktails too and they have a nice wine list. We highly recommend going! In the summer they have a few tables outside which is great. The service is great. They are all VERY friendly. And there is a bar upstairs and down to enjoy a cocktail at, or eat at.
They have the best spicy tuna roll in the city. And the best pieces! We love getting a few raw pieces. I would also recommend the Tuna Carpaccio Salad. Fantastic... so fresh and light! Also Kani Nigiri is to die for. Amazing and served warm. And be sure to try tne Spicy Mono and Special Sa"

"A surprisingly innovative sushi place. Just when I had thought I had seen it all with Japanese cuisine, Mirai's chefs and our amazing server (with her spot-on recommendations) blew me away. Cannot wait to go back for another amazing night."

"The place is a very good restaurant. This is my second time being here but it wasn't as memorable as the first. Some of that is on me and just learning about the place.
So, yes, it is "Fit for Foodies." My date and I quickly scanned the menu. Since we didn't take our time, I think this is why the items were not as good as the last time I was here. The food was still good, but enjoy the menu!
We sat downstairs this time also. I think the upstairs is a little more romantic. It doesn't have a "scenic view" like a high-rise building looking over the lake, but the view from the romantic second floor looking over the street and traffic and all the people walking to dinner or drinks does add a nice view. So we should have asked to sit upstai"

"Still after all these years a fantastic experience! A little slow for Friday night 9pm! Everything was excellent expect the King Crab Roll did not make the cut, the flavors did not gel. Toro, Hand Rolls, Sake Sashimi special chef rolls all excellent. Unfiltered sake was great!"

"We went for a date during restaurant week, but the restaurant week menu wasn't spectacular so we decided to just order regular items. Everything was good but somewhat unremarkable considering the expectations we had due to the previous ratings we've seen. The service was excellent, however, and the restaurant itself is really nice. It was exactly what we were looking for during a snowy evening."

"The tuna tuna salmon was amazing. Also the chicken and asparagus dish under "hot and cold plates" was absolutely delicious. It took awhile for someone to acknowledge us after we sat down, which was annoying, but otherwise a great experience. Sit upstairs of you are looking for romantic ambiance."

"While it was good sushi, I do not understand the hype. Other places have better sushi. maybe it is the appetizers and non sushi menu that gets all the hype."

"Great sushi very romantic and quiet atmosphere if sitting upstairs. Downstairs is much more casual. Specify in your reservation where you want to sit."
