"I chose this restaurant for an early dinner. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. The staff was all very attentive. The first waiter was very helpful and gave great suggestions. The second waitress was polite and thoughtful. We ordered 4 different kinds of sushi, and soup. The sushi was not too bad, however I have had much better. It was still good though. The miso soup was good too. All in all the food was good for the price."

"The food was great but the service was terrible at best. The prices are high and if the service was as good I would say its worth it but being as how I could not get a refill and when I asked for coffee he told me it would be about 15 minutes...I was UNIMPRESSED.
Do to their awesome location and food maybe they don't feel the need to require their employees to do the minimum.
It also always bothers me when I am in a restaurant for over 2 hours and a manager never comes by to ask how everything was. I am finding that less and less places are doing that and it is upsetting. I feel that if a manager comes by and everything isn't great they have the opportunity to turn a negative review into a great one."

"We always look forward to our dining experiences at Sushi Zushi. On this occasion we had company visiting from Virginia and we had the pleasure of introducing her to Sushi Zushi with the desired outcome: a delicious meal! And what was so unusual was that we had absolutely no rice. Sounds quirky, yes? But it was easy and delicious. And one thing is always for sure. . .if you're hungry when you leave, it's your own fault because they have a huge menu! Wait staff at Sushi Zushi is very attentive and helpful. We highly recommend that you give them a try!"

"Food was absolutely terrible. Ordered a tempura roll and im pretty sure they served me a hockey puck. The server knew we didnt like any of the food we ordered and did nothing to remedy the situation. If someone orders $98 worth of food and doesn't eat any of it, you think as a server you would get the hint they didn't like it. Even after mentioning our distaste, he did nothing about it. Don't ask me how was the food if you are not prepared to do anything when I tell you it was not good.
I have never worte a negative review in my life on anything. This experience was so bad I feel like I needed to do my civic duty to my fellow Austin residents and make sure they don't make the same mistake I did by choosing to dine at this joint."

"We love the food, which is fresh and well seasoned. The hostess was warm and friendly and the meal was excellent. The only drawback was the service. Our server acted very distant and cold and made us feel like he didn't want to serve us. He hardly showed up at our table and when he did, he left as fast as he could. He took away our drink menu before we had a chance to look at it and had to ask him to bring back. When he checked on us, he left so quickly that we had to call after him so that we can order extra items. Every time we came, we loved the food but the service had not been great. If the service was better, we would come a lot more often."

"The drinks were perfect, I had a peach red mojito that was excellent. The sushi was good. The service was a bit slow, it looked like they were understaffed."

"Sushi Zushi offers a great variety of sushi options, ranging from the crazy stuff to the super-safe stuff. And every piece is delish! The "zen" atmosphere is a little silly, but the food makes up for it."

"The service is excellent. Great sushi ! Never had a bad roll. Table seaters are very polite and well trained in dealing with hungry patrons! Bar set up well stationed for that "while you weight". The outdoors is also very comfortable. Enjoy"

"I moved to Austin from the East Coast, and sushi is a bigger deal there. The food here was of high quality. Being my first time here, I stuck to the rolls, which tend to be a good starting place to feel out a sushi restaurant. The Cajun Roll was amazing and pretty unique. The Philadelphia Roll was very good too. I paired those with white wine. There was a decent selection of deserts, but I wasn't really in the mood for sweets. The ambiance was nice and quiet, as it was about 6:30p on a Sunday. I will definitely go back again. The Cajun Roll is worth another visit by itself. Also, the server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections."

"Sushi was pretty good. Not the quality of Musashino but pretty good. I will give it a 7. What was amazing was the price. It was probably the best VALUE. Also, there was a TON of variety."

"We often like to feast at Sushi Zushi of the Domain. They have an extensive menu and we like to be able to select items we've not tried before and that are riceless, for the most part. We are never ever disappointed!
And here's a shout out to the servers and staff, as they are quite wonderful. We've dined at various times from late afternoon, when the restaurant is fairly relaxed through the evening (to as late as 8:30 p.m.) when every table is taken and the energy is vibrant. At no time did we feel rushed by the staff, who are always attentive and helpful."

"I am not a sushi fan, but my friend is. He ordered something like a "sampler" which had a little bit of everything. He said it was OK, but was very surprised at the speed at which it came to our table. I just had tempura which was good. Server was lovely and quite accomodating. For a mall restaurant experience, pretty good."

"Food was great. Disappointed with our server. We ordered 2 glasses of soju and were served, only to learn after the fact that she served us the masu size because there were no more glasses available. She should have let us know before serving or charged us for the glass size we ordered. A bit disconcerting. Also, the wooden boxes the drink was served in leaked and was messy on the table and when drinking. Will not order the masu size again. Really took away from the "generosity" spirit Sushi Zushi promotes."

"Somehow they didn't have our reservation on file when we got there so we had to wait in the line, which waslong being Valentines day. Other than that, the food was pretty solid."

"The restaurant is an excellent choice for a date night or a special occasion. Diverse menu of traditional Japanese and sushi really caters to a variety of tastes. We've been there multiple times and have tried the multiple items on the menu with no regrets. It was really busy this last time we were there and the service was outstanding. Overall, this is one of our favorite places to eat in Austin based on the quality of food, price, atmosphere, and service."

"Charcoal wasn't ready even though my order was taken so it was cooked on trepan grill instead. Result was bland, tasteless, horrible presentation... Waiter made no excuses and had the gall to bring it out!!"

"I took my wife here for her birthday and we both enjoyed it a lot. The sushi was excellent, and the menu is sufficiently extensive that just about anyone will be able to find something they'll like. The portions are also a good size; like most sushi joints, this place isn't exactly cheap, but I definitely felt like we got our money's worth. My only minor gripe would be that as the evening went on, the service seemed to slow down a bit."

"The LIR Roll continues to be a winner. Even the very simple Spicy Salmon Roll was generously filled with Salmon and not too heavy on the rice... like some restaurants do.
The 'new' Spicy Edamame (pan seared in the LIR sauce) was super - we ordered two!"
