"The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the tuna ceviche, pig ears, sliders, hanger steak, and the donuts. Not only was the food tasty, but it was also presented nicely. Our water glasses were never empty and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was spacious with high ceilings and the seats were spaced far enough apart so that you could not hear other people's conversations. I thought it was a little on the pricey side, but well worth it!"

"I took my wife here for her birthday and we could not have had a better experience. The ceviche was the best we've ever had, they had a very affordable happy hour and dinner was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Get the doughnuts for dessert. Just do it."

"Never had Peruvian Cuisine so I didn't know what to expect. Food was very good - portions on the small side, but everything was delicious. We started with drinks - pisco, which is apparently the national drink of Peru. Best way to describe it - sort of like grappa but house-infused with a large choice of flavors. I had a cocktail, my dining partner had it straight up. My shared an appetizer of grilled calamari and octopus on a potato cake - very tender and quite good. I had crispy pork belly with Andean style potatoes and my partner had crispy duck leg with rice. Mine was not very crispy but it tasted good. The duck was excellent. dessert WAS dolce de leche "panna cotta" and my partner had Pervuvian donuts with a type of honey, both good."

"The restauarant had an outside dining area that provided ample lighting for the rest of the restuarant. Because of the angle of the buildings and the setting sun, the lighting effect was stunning and provided a refreshing and tranquil experience. The food was great--their ceviche flight is a MUST. Aside from that I was a bit disappointed with the serving sizes of their entrees, and the seafood creamy sauces were a bit watery. Which for these reasons I gave Raymi a three rather than a four. Lastly, the waiters were extremely knowledgeable and attentive, even the baristas too. Outstanding service in all."

"the ceviche was too small a portion for the price.. When we first arrived while waiting for the rest of our party it took them 25 minutes to bring our first drink.. the bar was very slow. The web site for Sunday Night Supper had a far larger menu of choice then the restaurant.

"Highly recommend this place. Very friendly staff who were on the ball and know everything about the food and the pisco. The grilled calamari and octopus was top notch, Lomo Saltado cooked perfectly to our request, and closing it out with mini ice cream cones and warm donuts is a necessity."

"Absolutely fantastic. We were so impressed by this incredible gem. The food and ambiance were superb and the service was unusually outstanding. As world-traveled foodies and long-time NYers, we are tough to impress but we left saying that it was the warmest, most personal service we had received in NYC in all our time here. "Raymi had great energy, great vibe, great decor, great service and most importsnt great food. We had never had Peruvian before and it was incredibly good - interesting spices, but not overwhelming. "Service was awful,though food very good. They claimed they opened back room and didn't, know table numbers, but also appeared understaffed. Took15 minutes for someone to even stop by. Long wait for food and brought wrong entree and did not even come by to explain they were bringing another out. Then blamed on kitchen. They did give free dessert to compensate, though they brought us another tables coffee while we were waiting to have order taken at start of meal. Table across the way had a glass of water spilled in lap. A pity, because as all Sandoval restaurants the food was excellent and better then other Peruvian restaurants in city. Also more inventive then Nuela, which had the space before. However, I won't be back."

"I went to have dinner at Raymi this Sunday for "Sunday supper" and the experience was fascinating ... Dinner was delicious ...! our waiter was very polite and knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. The food was in a reasonable time, the portions were generous even acceptable prices (cost of $ 38 for all 5 courses). There is a very nice family atmosphere even with several families with small children (4 pm)will not be disturbing the environment. Sure that I will return and I will recommend Raymi for Sunday family dinner ....."

my boyfriend who is American and had never tried Peruvian food could not believe this was so delicious. . tried a ceviche as the best place in Peru and the "Jalea"_ .... and had the _lomo saltado_ and the whole fried fish with a yellow pepper sauce was all original and reminded me of my grandparents, my mother and all my family that prepares these delicious dishes .... I will definitely return with my family as soon as possible .... with dessert I wanted to jumping and screaming , what incredible dessert ... A reasonable price for a highly rated restaurant and outstanding.
They did their best to be a very special night .... I think I'll have to return to Raymi w"

"Initially I went with an Urban Daddy voucher. Loved it so much, I took some girlfriends and went back a second time. The food does not disappoint. Service was AWESOME. We had the best person, very patient, gave us great wine recommendations. Just absolutely awesome. I think my only complaint was the pisco sour. None of us liked the recipe they used. But that's ok, we switched to wine and were perfectly content.
The space is absolutely beautiful. My cousin took picture of the bar shelves and lightning since she absolutely loved them."

"This was an exception restaurant with great decor, service and food options. I had a great time here with my girlfriend. The floor manager, Sigi, was amazing and helpful as was our waitress. Highly recommend this place and its chic and cool environment."

"It's early in the year but this will probably be my best restaurant experience in 2013. I can't imagine a more wonderful combination of tantalizing cuisine so expertly executed and a degree of concern and attentiveness by the staff that results from great people believing in what they do. We were a group of six and we were all raving about it then and still now.
The drinks were delicious, pisco is where it's at!
The food is attentively conceived, the dishes expertly executed and beautifully presented as the objects of art that they are. Their taste transports you to heaven from starters to dessert. The service was outstanding (Yitzel) showered us with her care and had the sweet candor that cannot be taught or bought."

"Friendly, attentive service, great atmosphere. We were very pleased with our experience at Raymi and will be back with friends. The Chef extended personal attention and accommodated our request for a side dish of tacu tacu which was not on the menu for the dishes we selected. Our appetizers - Tamal Verde with pork shoulder, and Croquettes were delicious and prepared to perfection - succulent pork shoulder, artfully light croquettes. All ingredients were fresh and all flavors distinct and crisp. The ARROZ CON MARISCOS was a winner as was the Steak Imperial Our Pisco Sours were on the warm side though. Still we are looking forward to sharing "Sunday supper", served family style, with friends."

"The modern decor was welcoming and the service competent and friendly. The food lacked. Start with cocktails - the pisco sour was a too acidic and not chilled enough. The wine list was fun with lots of South American and Spanish offerings which allowed us to explore an Enguera Mourvedre and Rueda Vederjo which enhanced the meal. Our appetizers - Fluke Tiraditos, Mixto Ceviche, Grilled Octupus, and the Causa of the day was well prepared. "For sure Raymi is a excelent restaurant for special ocassion
Elegant place and pleasant atmosphere both in the pre-dinner lounge by the bar and the restaurant itself.
I proposed to my family and they prepared a special table and provided us an unique service. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpfull."

"The service was much to be improved. The first set of appetizer arrived quickly but there was about 45 mins wait till the next dish. The waitress didn't handle the situation well first saying that it will be arriving soon and then avoiding coming to our table. She also brought the wrong drink. However, the maitre d was helpful in bringing something to munch on while we wait and giving us dessert on the house. I would have rated poor on service if it wasn't for the maitre d. Food was good. The ceviches were really good but some of the other dishes were a little too salty."

"This was our first time at Raymi. Never had peruvian cuisine. It was amazing. The ceviche and sashimi were so fresh. I wanted more. We got the sampler and the fluke. The rabbit pot pie was so flavorful. The steak kebabs were very tender and flavorful. It was our anniversary and they gave us 2 champagnes and a dessert to congratulate us. It was a great personal touch. Food was very good. Service was awesome. And the pisco was tasty. We will definitely be back!"

"My husband and I came across Raymi while searching for Peruvian restaurants in the city. After looking over the menu we thought we should give it try. And we are so glad we did! We thought it was fantastic. The ambiance and decor give the restaurant an authentic feel and the menu was authentic as well. The pisco infusions are endless - Purple corn and passion fruit pisco infusions must try!!!
Every dish we had we loved. Causa was amazing. Octopus was so tender and delicious. Arroz con camarones perfectly done. My husband had the ny strip which he said was perfectly cook. Peruvian doughnuts for dessert - insanely good. Service was on point. We couldn't have been happier.

"Raymi was great! The service was fantastic and you get a free Pisco Sour if you check in on foursquare! I had the tuna ceviche and grilled octopus and calamari, both of which were fresh and extremely flavorful. We did not order dessert but the manager brought each of us a mini ice cream cone with delicious ice cream and a surprise "treat" at the bottom! I would definitely go back! The space is also huge and gorgeous. I hope this place makes it!"

-Drinks were really good. First time having pisco
-Ambiance was nice, but I wouldn't say it was trendy and upbeat which is what I was going for. It was more mellow.
-Food - portion sizes were too small. We were all still hungry after appetizers and entrees. Same goes for dessert - each portion is too small for the price.
