Gargantuan cuts of prime beef, extra thick chops, and simply prepared fresh seafood are the straightforward offerings of this steakhouse that evokes the supper clubs of Manhattan in the 1940's. Leopard print carpeting, black lacquered walls trimmed in brass and tuxedoed waiters complete the elegant atmosphere, featuring live piano and bass nightly. Dress code is business casual.

"Lovely place to go for a great meal. Romantic atmosphere, piano music, all with plenty of space between tables so you never feel crowded. I have been there several times before, and it is consistantly good. This time I went for a pre-theatre, prix fixed dinner and it was perfect. Portions were adequate, while not as large as the regular menu, (which was what we wanted) it was moist enjoyable. It is a little pricey, and the drinks and wine certainly add to the bill. Some of my companions did not drink anything because of this. However, if you want to go for a special evening with lovely ambience, or don't mind spending a little more for an evening out, I reccommend the Prime Rib. It is well worth it."

"Just wonderful! We frequently share the regular cut prime rib and get a veggie platter. This is a great deal as they give you a succulent broiled tomato in addition to your choice of any three veggies they have as sides. As far as I can tell those portions are the same as if you order sides. We always have left overs enough for a second dinner.
The food is excellent, service gracious and atmosphere sophisticated and romantic with a pianist playing the great oldies.
Drinks are great and the best Long Island Ice tea ever."

"We have dined there before and have always had an excellent experience. Staff is wonderful and food was fantastic. We were there at a very crowded evening but the staff handled the work load effortlessly. Always a great go to place for a quiet romantic dinner!"

"we had to accept a 4pm dinner reservation since it was mother's day, but the restaurant was practically empty at that time. it really was too early for dinner and our food was served 4 minutes after ordering. it was just too early for this type of dinner. we have eaten here before at a more regular dinner time and had a much more enjoyable experience. the main dining room was wide open and yet we were sat in the entry hallway and we felt rushed to get out."

"The atmosphere was nice but the piano was way too loud. We were seated two tables away and had to shout to communicate. Pianist could stand to lower the height of grand piano's top. The food was so so. All of our meats came out over cooked and tough. Crab imperial was nothing special - just lump crab meat without any special sauce or seasoning. Paid $550 for a table of 9."

"The Prime Rib is advertised as the #1 Zaget rated restaurant in the US, and I would put the food in the top 10 places I have eaten, but the service was worse then most national chains. Our waiter had 2 tables, ours and the one next to us, but seemed to have no interest in serving our table at all. Both my colleague and myself would have empty glasses and the waiter would simply serve the table next to us and ignore us. He virtually hovered over them, and virtually ignored us. It may have been that we were dressed in nice business casual attire instead of suits, but it seemed we were definitely not a priority. Food wise though the prime rib was excellent, the asparagus and potatoes were very good, and the dessert excellent."

"My wife and I enjoyed our second visit to The Prime Rib. We enjoyed the best seat in the house and the food was outstanding. We will return again ASAP. This is how a restaurant should be for a night out. Outstanding selection of Neal Family wines at very nice prices. The piano and bass player add to the overall class of the place."

"we love the prime rib. unfortunately the portions are decreasing while the prices remain the same. our king cut prime rib with bone was 1/2 the size it usually is and the vegetable platter was honestly A JOKE for $26 or $28 [whichever it was]. we did speak with the GM, as our waiter had also erroneously charged us for the potato [which was supposed to come with the vegetable platter]. he was nice, and the waiter certainly tried hard.
the OLD ways of the prime rib [with jacket] and way larger portions was honestly much better. while we love the combo band, we'll have to see if they improve things to see if we'll continue to come here regularly.
hopefully our next visit will be much better in terms of the aforementioned."

"The food and service were uniformly excellent. Wait staff were attentive without hovering, allowing us to enjoy our meal and each other's company without a single worry about the service. The filet mignon was the highlight; it was so tender I could almost cut it with my fork. Prices were the only drawback; this is a place either for very special occasions or people who entertain clients on the company's dime. Given the right occasion or a healthy expense account, I would return with pleasure."

"Recently went to Prime Rib for our anniversary. We have always enjoyed it for special occasions - the menu rarely changes but what is there is fantastic. We've eaten in all the Philly steakhouses but I've never had a steak as good as the Prime Rib. Love the full old school service as well. A real gem."

"Food and service excellent as usual. Our group enjoyed the prime rib as well as the 1/2 rack of lamb. Only minor disappointment were the cherry stone clams, too large and a but rubbery."

"It was our 10 year anniversary and everything was fantastic! The whole experience was amazing. The food was delicious and our server, Felipe, was great! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted great steaks or seafood."

"Always a great dinner and service is flawless, the room is getting older and time for a redo! but the food is consistently good.
I wish that they had steak tartare or better steaks but the Prime Rib is the winner here. The crab cakes are stellar as well.
The staff is always great with our family and very professional and friendly. Thanks for the potato skins as well!"

"The Prime Rib is always a treat to visit. I love the fact that they have a piano player and when he sings, if you close your eyes, you would swear you were listening to Tony Bennett live. He's that good. I always feel special when I eat there and the staff is warm and friendly. It has an almost club-like atmosphere with dark wood and banquette seating. Order the prime rib because it is just outstanding. Expensive but well worth the price."
