"Bistro 44 is a very pleasant way to eat before heading on over the the theater in Northport. The service was outstanding and my skirt steak was prepared perfectly. My wife had the Salmon, which she described as delicious. It's bar was crowded and the eating area is small but otherwise I felt this is a place we will visit again."

"HAD A RESERVATION FOR 6 PEOPLE AT 8PM- RESTAUARANT WAS PRETTY EMPTY WHEN WE ARRIVED AND WAS SEATED PROMPTLY. WAITER WAS ATTENTIVE AND THERE WAS A NICE VARIETY HOWEVER FOOD TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO BE SERVED. ALTHOUGH THE FOOD WAS REALLY DELICOUS THE PORTIONS WERE EXTREMELY SMALL. MANAGEMENT GAVE US FREE DESSERT BUT NEVER CAME TO APOLOGIZE FOR WAIT OR JUST GIVE AN EXPLANATION SO WONT BE A RETURNING CUSTOMER."

"I've been to Bistro 44 a couple of times but this was by far the worst. I went with a friend for lunch on Monday - not an overall busy time. We were asked 3 times if we were ready to order before we even opened the menu. When we finally ordered we were told that we could not get salads. Huh??? Once we recevied our meals not one time did the server ask if everything was ok. He then rushed to us with the bill - we wanted dessert. Again he never came over to check (not that anything was bad...). I had to ask twice for the check. Food was delicious but very disappointed with the service."

"We had a lovely brunch. The menu offered a nice variety and the food was yummy. Our waiter was a bit inattentive, and we waited for quite some time for no reason. There were only 3-4 tables, so crowding was not an issue. I would give it another try and am curious to see how the dinner menu looks."

"Unfortunately we had a late night reservation 10:00pm after the pay in Northport. While they honored the reservation we were very pressured to order by the waiter and was rushed through dinner and they were sold out of most things on the menue. Most restaurants that we have been to "after the show" really do have a late night kitchen. It was a Saturday night, not a week night and therefore should be open later in a town like Northport."

"Ate here before a show at Northport Theater. Food and service were excellent. It is a small place, our table was in between two other tables so a little tight. Our server was very conscious of the time to ensure we got to the theater on time. I would definitely go back, but I would ask for a booth or a table standing alone. Overall a very nice evening."

"This is our 3rd and last time at the restaurant. While the seating and food remained consistent, the poor and super slow service could not make up for the bad experience. The lack of a maitre d' to supervise the wait staff was sorely missing. The waiters seemed oblivious, disorganized and chaotic. Our order was mishandled and the wait for the correct food to be served came at the sacrifice of the other dishes being served cold. We will not return a fourth time."
