TRIBECA TAVERN is a casual grill and bar that just so happens to have a state of the art audio/visual system. Great for the big game? Sure. Great for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch? Absolutely.
Our specialties are burgers, taken to the next level, accompanied by 20 North Carolina brewed draft beers. TRIBECA is more than burger joint though, with a fresh fun menu including appetizers, salads, soups, brick oven pizzas, steaks, seafood, pastas and fresh desserts.

"We love Tribeca for their burgers, and it is always crowded for dinner. There were hardly any other diners there for brunch on Sunday, and the food overall was dissapointing. Most of our group concluded that the food was mediocre at best."

"Very pretty restaurant, but when busy it seems to lose its luster. My wife, father and I made a reservation for 7:30 through opentable. We were sat at ten to eight. Waited ten minutes for our server who took our order, then disappeared for twenty minutes when she brought or appetizers. They were on the table for five minutes and then the salads came and she wanted to remove our half eaten appetizers. Then, not five minutes later our entrees came. My steak was fine, not great cut of meat and a little small. My wife ordered a cheeseburger that was so charred she could not eat it, and my father got a cold steak. So cold in fact it could not even begin to melt the 1/4 inch slab of butter that was placed on top. The manager did comp the steak."

"Having been there before and always enjoying it, this time the service wait team was stretched too far so it was difficult to get their attention. Tried the fish and chips. Fish was good and fresh but there was only one small piece. This is the place to go for burgers and perhaps skip the rest of the menu."

"Visited TT last-minute on a Friday; OpenTable was able to accommodate our reservation time. We arrived a half hour early, waited in the bar with our pager, and right at 8pm we were seated. The starter was just OK - not much of a choice between two salads and homemade chips. The main course was wonderful! NC Bison Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and haricot vert. I wish the meatloaf was on the regular menu! Dessert was just OK, too. The dark chocolate molten cake was room temperature instead of gushing hot chocolate."

"I love the clubhouse feel of this place, and my family enjoys the big-screen tv's. i had lunch there with a friend recently, and we were most interested in a quiet place to catch up over lunch and a glass of wine. I had the chef salad, which was very nice, as was the Reisling. We were there a long time after we finished eating and paying, and didn't feel rushed to leave. The waiter was fine, not terribly friendly or chatty, but the server was. All in all, it was a very nice lunch."

"I've been to Tribeca several times and decided I would try something other than the burger, I got the roasted chicken which was good but I think the burger is much better. You can even downgrade the burger size by a few ounces which is awesome! I will go back but I think I'll stick with the burger next time."

"Not the best or worst place I've ever eaten, I felt like it severely lacked in character. Felt like a chain restaurant basically, which is okay, but when I go out I'm looking for a memorable experience. Frankly that whole area is kind of cookie cutter, so it didn't surprise me much that a restaurant like this would be there."

"IMHO Tribeca Tavern is a fairly unique restaurant. It is not your friendly neighborhood pub, it is not a massive antisceptic chain and it is not fine dinning; it is something in between those. It is a fairly creative range of burgers and sandwhiches plus a few other 'standard' entres and such. They emphasize locavore offerings - which I find to be a plus. They have an impressive beer list - another plus in my book.
The food is quite tasty but not over the top delicious. Service is about right, not rushed but not slow either, the staff are quite friendly and generally knowledgable. The place is aesthetically pleasing, large but comfortable, it is a tad noisy.
No real negatives, but it is a bit pricey and noisier than i would like."

"Usually we are very pleased when we dine at Tribeca Tavern. The service is good and the food better. Sad to report though, our last visit was disappointing. It was later than we usually go, but expected the same service. Our food was delicious, especially the shrimp and grits but our attention from our waiter was lacking. We saw he was must more interested in the hostess than serving us. Never asked us if we wanted another beer and couldn't be bothered to bring us our check so passed it off to someone else! Needless to say, his tip reflected the service we received, little."

"We brought our whole family (party of 9) here for our son's college graduation celebration. Overall, we had a great experience. The online reservation system was terrific and we received a couple of calls the day of the reservation to make sure all our needs were met. There was an extensive menu and I believe everyone in our party was very satisfied with their food. The only negative was the timing for receiving our entrees. The entrees were served at 3 separate times. The time between the first entrees delivered and the last must have been between 10-15 minutes. So, some in our party had to eat ahead of others, so their food did not get cold."

"It was a nice day to sit outside. we had a zucchini appetizer, salad, and burger. They have a 5 oz burger so it is not as intimidating as the larger ones, and a menu of burgers and cheeses. The sauce with the zucchini is very spicy, so we asked for the ranch dressing which is good with the zucchini. I also like that you do not have to get fries as your side, but have several items including a side salad to choose."

"Exceptionally fresh and unbelievably innovative offerings are on the menu at this out of the way location in NW Cary. We've driven past the corner where Tribeca Tavern is located often and finally found time to give this restaurant a try. We were delighted with the amble appetizer servings, great beer list and hard to choose from burger menu. All 3 in our party were raving about our choices and sharing. "Tribeca Tavern is what it is. A noisy, commercial, fancy hamburger restaurant with a *great* draft beer list. I thought the prices were fair. We had 7:15 reservations for a Friday night - we got in about 7:35. Non-reservation customers were being told it was an hour and 15 minute wait. I can't see waiting that long, even though the burgers are very good and the ingredients fresh and filled with taste. This isn't plastic food, but it's not ambitious. Since my wife and I both had burgers (Jimmy the Greek - a lamb-burger, and my wife a turkey burger), we can't comment much beyond the basics. But there wasn't much to pull us back. Nothing bad, some things good, but it's a noisy mob scene. I doubt we'd be back even if it was closer to home."

"I am a regular customer at Tribeca (the Cary location) and have never had a negative experience at the restaurant... until last Saturday. I dined with a group of 8, and the service was terrible - even though the restaurant was not busy. In the 3 hours we dined at Tribeca our waitress filled our glasses of water ONCE! After ordering meals and desserts, she often returned to state that they had run out of ingredients (sweet potato fries, certain alcoholic beverages, and a chocolate cake). She failed to even ask how I experience was. As I said before, I have dined at this location for over a year and a half and this has been my only negative experience. I will return, but I am hoping management addresses this issue."

"Went on a busy Saturday night with my husband and a few friends who had already been here singing its praises to us. They were not wrong! Everyone from the friendly hostesses who greeted us with big smiles, to our friendly, on-the-money server who was a treat to have take care of us, to the manager who came over twice to ask how we were doing were just terrific! The food was excellent and believe me, we tried just about everything including alcoholic drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert. It was all wonderful, fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend making a reservation for busy weekend nights. Cannot wait to return and return again!"

"We had great service, and the food was very good. This was our first visit, and we will return. It's casual, but much nicer than I was expecting for a "tavern". It was nice to see how they incorporate NC ingredients into all of their foods - a list is posted as you walk in. Also: all draft beers are from various NC brewers. Fun!"

"Great burgers....truly made to order, great selection of cheeses to build your burger if you choose. Sweet potato fries are fantastic. Menu has variety and all is pretty good. Beer selection is good, options for everyone. Plasma TVs everywhere including in each booth...nice touch especially during March Madness! It's a bit noisy, but that makes it great for families and large groups. Service was quick and waiter was very helpful. Give it a try."

"Friday night means going out with friends for a nice meal and a few drinks. The food was rated fair by all of us. Service was ok, our waiter wasn't very knowledgeable on the preparations or portion size of some of the menu items. Might try Tribeca again and see what happens a second time."

"This place was awesome. They have tv's everywhere which is great during March Madness because you can keep tabs on all the games. But it was much classier than say a Buffalo Wild Wings or some other sports bars that you might think of. The food was great. I got a Blue Devil burger and I've got to say it was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Also everything is $15 or less so it's easy on the wallet. Between dinner, dessert, and tip I spent $60 but I could have easily spent half that much if I had wanted to. Overall great place for a casual date or a place to go out with the guys."

"Took our out of town friends for dinner on St. Patricks day. We had been at Tribeca before and always had great food and service. This time it was a tad disappointed. They were out of several menu items - especially Irish inspired dishes. The waitress had to return to the table three times to tell one of our friends that their dinner choice and then their alternative choices were not available. We had a good laugh about it and she apologized but because we had recommended Tribeca to our friends we were a bit embarrassed. The waitress also forgot to bring a salad I had ordered. On the plus side, the burgers and other sandwiches we ordered were all very good, the beer selection was great. We will definitely return."

"I guess I was overall a little disappointed...the potato skins appetizer came with baby back ribs IN them....I thought it would be on the side...there was way too much barbecue sauce and our whole table agreed...the burgers were excellent, but two people had chicken and some of it was overcooked...I got fresh squeezed lemonade and couldn't wait to taste it, but it tasted like diet lemonade...very disappointed, because I usually only get plain water...the service was so-so...the highlight of the night for me was when my friend told our waiter that it was my birthday (which it is in a few days) and he offered me a free dessert...the cheesecake was absolutely delicious!"

"We found the noise level to be very high. We were in the big room to the right of the entrance. It got very loud and there was loud music playing. We were at a half circle booth and really couldn't converse with our table mates. The food was good but the service was very rushed and even the waiter talked too fast. Had to ask him to repeat several times; we were in and out in a hour but we really couldn't relax with coffee after dinner because we couldn't hear each other talk. This wasn't our first visit to Tribecca but it might have been our last."

"We celebrated a surprise birthday dinner for my mother and they put our group in a nice location. My father had flowers delivered earlier in the day and they took care of them all day long until giving them to my mom when we got there. The surprise was perfect and the staff very helpful. Great service and food! We really enjoyed it for a group place. It was my first time and I will probably return again."

"Food is always amazing. The pulled pork potatoe skins are addictive. The bananna creme brulee is to die for, and the burgers are amazing. We were seated at the table right at the bar entrance and it was a little louder than I would have liked, but we still had a wonderful date night. This was our second time eating there and I was not disappointed.. We will definetly go back agian and agian."

"Best burgers I've ever had and it's not just what's on them, it's the meat itself! Local and freshly ground. The really mean Mexican burger is my favorite. My vegetarian wife and daughter really like the veggie burger. Homemade, not like any frozen bean burger. Their sides are outstanding. Sweet potato casserole is my favorite but the parmesan grits are excellent too. Whatever you do, however, do not get the butterscotch brownie for dessert! I don’t know what they put in it, but it is really addictive. I haven’t found a brownie rehab clinic I can afford! Price and service are also beyond reproach. Mash House beers are very good and with a different variety each night for a $3 pint. Did I warn you about the butterscotch brownie???"
