The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
At the Daily Dish, the focus is on comfort food that is seasonally inspired, sustainable and locally sourced. We believe that the Farm to Fork experience benefits everyone from small farmers to our diners. We visit local produce markets to purchase seasonal, fresh produce. Our pita, focaccia & pizza dough are made daily. Our salmon & chicken are organic. We use fresh, pasture fed beef. We make our mozzarella, pickles, sauces, dressings & vinaigrettes in house from scratch. The cocktail bar has local tap beer, fun cocktails and a varied wine list. We follow these principles to cater your special event.
"What a pleasant surprise. This was exactly the type of restaurant that I have been looking for in my neighborhood. Great food, fresh selection, unique experience. this is a place that I can bring people to and wow them with how upscale yet accessible my area is. The vegetables and produce was extremely fresh. The menu was eclectic and appetizing. They had great specials and values. Kid-friendly. The only knock was a fairly slow and inept wait-person. But I think that he was an exception. I look forward to making this place my own."

Review 4 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"The food was both AMAZING and okay. My Asparagus and gruyere ravioli was SOOOOO good. But the Shrimp and cucumber salad was meh (the shrimp was terribly overcooked.
The pizzas were pretty good."

Review 5 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"Organic salmon ripieghi was seared just right - moist & tasty. Ditto for the salmon salad. The bread, baked in house, was similar to a puffy pita & had that wonderful freshly baked taste. The waitress checked on us multiple times while we waited for our other luncheon guest. I like that the salmon was organic and that the restaurant emphasizes local."

Review 6 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"The food was great. I had seen earlier reviews of poor service. They have definitely stepped that up. Only a few glitches that were immediately resolved. (no silverware when we were seated, forgot the barbeque sauce) We will go there again. Love the emphasis and local and fresh."

Review 7 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"Couldn't reach by phone at 10:45 am to make reservation so made online. Wanted 6pm but was only given option for 5 or 7:30pm. Since we had children along took the 5pm slot but was not notified that dinner menu wasn't served until after 5:30pm. Food was good but really wanted the dinner menu. Will not use online reservations again."

"The Daily is a great little neighborhood cafe. The menu has a good selection of well cooked food, the beer list is small but has great choices, and the servers are very friendly. We will be back."

Review 11 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"This was a pleasant surprise that we never would have found if we didn't need a place to hang out while waiting for our son to see a concert at the Filmore. The food was great. Being a vegan it is sometimes hard to find a place with good selections. Well this was it! My husband was thrilled as well and most of all it was a great deal for GREAT food! We will definitely make the trek from Northern Virginia to Silver Spring just to visit this gem of a restaurant!"

Review 13 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"We went there for Valentine's Day and the meal was very nice/the service was excellent. The ambiance isn't great because they dont' have much room. We were squeezed next to a lot of other people so it wasn't very romantic. I'm sure it would be perfect for lunch or brunch sometime."

Review 15 for The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company
"Daily Dish has been a favorite of mine since it opened. I always like meeting friends from out of town at the DD when I can. And this time was no different. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed with a couple of the items we ordered. The butternut squash and ginger soup (vegan) looked good on the menu but in reality wasn't all that exciting. My dinner guest and I both agreed that there was something missing. Nutmeg perhaps? Or maybe a garnish of candied ginger? We ate a few spoonfulls and left the rest. Then there were the ribs, which my dinner guest described as having a good flavor, but felt that they had been sitting around for awhile and was just heated up. My striped seabass w/leeks was perfect."
