"The weather permitted outside dining next to a open emerald green plaza. It was far quieter and serene than at the bar or the inside dining. The bar is quite lively and active but a bit noisy while the inside dining area is well appointed but crowded on the weekends. All of our main entrees were delivered on a timely basis and were cooked to perfection. Unusual when seven people are dining. The waiter was very attentive and active but not annoying. Definitely a return visit is on the summer agenda."

"The service was outstanding, the seating excellent, and the venue always very nice at Nantucket. However, they have a policy of not bringing bread to the table before the meal is ordered, which does not whet the appetite much. Anyhow, my filet was perfect, but my spouse's salad was plain tasteless--all spinich, but not much else. The bread came as one block, hot, but not precut, broken or otherwise divisible by the 4 of us diners. Yes, I highly recommend Nantucket, but please, lets get it right...."

Our server forgot things 3 times (coffee, grits, refills) and brought the wrong side dish with my hubby's meal. Also did not check on us often enough. Seemed preoccupied or distracted. "We went for Easter Brunch. This was my 1st time at Nantucket. The Calamari was excellent and the serving was generous. The She Crab Soup was also very good. The Steak was very good and tender, and the Ham was also delicious. Our Waitress was very good That is the good news. When our food arrived, my Daughter's Eggs Benedict arrived minus the Hollandaise sauce, my Steak and Eggs also arrived minus the Hollandaise sauce and the Hash browns. The eggs on the Benedict were over cooked to a hard stage; my Asparagus was overcooked and tough.
The biggest issue was who ever the Food Expeditor was, they were not checking to make sure the plates were complete and that caused the presentation to suffer."

"Food was flavorful and well presented. However service sets this restaurant apart from others. We had a lot of special requests due to diet restrictions. They were very accommodative . Although one dish was presented different than rrequested, Kim , our waitress recovered nicely and turned a negative to a positive. "The ambiance was formal and plush. The staff were very attentive. Prices were a bit high, but not unreasonable. The disappointment came when the entrees arrived. Capably presented, lovely to look at, but both my companion and I had a tomato sauce that was bitter and spoiled the intended taste of the main items. The freshly baked mini roll of bread was the high point of the meal. Ceasar salad was premixed and flavorful. I wish they would not leave the lettuce in such large pieces, and use fresher croutons that don't require so much jaw power to crush."

"This past Saturday evening, two good firends, my wife and I sat down and enjoyed one of the better meals we had all experienced in some time. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was attentive, and most importantly- the food was fantastic.

"We were celebrating our anniversary. The food was excellent and when our waitress realized we were celebrating our anniversary she offered us a complimentary glass of champagne. I had the mahi mahi special and my husband order the scallops. It was a very enjoyable evening."
