"Mother's Day brunch is an annual tradition for us and we have been to several of the top local restaurants for brunch in years past. This was probably the best brunch yet. It has been several years since I last visited the Chophouse and it was great for dinner. After the quality of the food served for brunch and the prompt and personal service we received from our waiter I look forward to returning for dinner."

"This year is my first year in Boulder for Mother's Day. I decided to try Boulder Chop House. The description of the brunch sounded wonderful and the price was resonable. "Delicious buffet, beautifully presented. Didn't realize when our reservation was made that we were too close to the end of the buffet. In fact there was at least 2 hours before the service ended. However, the menu offerings were not refilled while we were there. Were they running out of food? Otherwise, the items that were available were delicious and we had a very pleasant Mothers Day brunch."

"The prices are very reasonable for what you get. Meats were prepared to perfection and the side choices were divine. This boulder chophouse is great for your any American diner who wants a hearty and delicious meat and potatoes fare. The service was fast, friendly and precise with the exception of one but his folly was quickly and appropriately rectified. This is a great place for large groups because of their large rooms and multiple busser approach to service. They have a great patio and a cute facade facing the st Julian hotel. The reason for the marks on service was due to a mix up for what was supposed to be a surprise party where we were primed to be taken to the bar until everyone else in the party arrived. This did not transpire."

"The Chophouse is one of those places I should want to go, but I am consistently underwhelmed. For what you pay, the execution should be much better. We were early and waited in the bar, which was fine. Good service there and I like the ambiance. Once we sat down, we only got one water as the glasses were being washed. The silverware didn't match. Things came out in good time and were cooked correctly, it was just not special. The bun on my fish sandwich was generic and clearly too big for the portion. But, the service was good and we had a good time. It is just not top of my list given the other options in the area. Good for happy hour, fair for dinner."

"We had an outstanding waiter with a great sense of humor and just the right amount of professionalism. We are a family of attorneys, realtors, engineers and hospital administrators that night - a hard group to please and he did.
The food quality was so poor that we will not be returning to The Chophouse for the food. Something has changed. The prime ribs (3) were like rubber and undercooked. Baked potatoes were not even close to hot. The cornbread was cold and very dry. I personally have hostessed my son's master's degree at The Chophouse, his groom's dinner before his wedding and numerous other birthdays, etc. This was a surprise for things to be so bad. I paid for most of the dinners and felt I did not get my money's worth!!"

"The tuna spring rolls were amazing, one of the best things my wife and I have ever eaten, Prime rib was great. The Delmonico was thin and dry, very disappointing because it was a recommendation from waiter and I asked for a medium steak. I recommend not trying new stuff when it comes to steak at this restaurant. Go with what you know, prime rib or filet mignon. We wer also seated between a group of college kids who liked to swear and a couple who really really liked their wine."

Crab cake appetizer was very good. Did not like the cheesecake, it was not very creamy and I wasn't a fan of the crust. Service was great. Bar was very busy, but restaurant was nice and quiet."

"I've been to the Boulder Chophouse several times and always had a very good experience.This was the first time they offered an Easter Brunch and it was obvious they are new at this type of service. My main complaint was that the prime rib was extremely rare; all of it. We kept going back to the carving station to see if another roast was a little more cooked but were told all of the prime rib was rare. For our group,it was inedible. Our reservation was at 2:00pm so maybe they were winding down from a busy morning but often the hot food chafers were empty and we had to wait for replenishments.The seafood bar ran out of oysters and the dessert selection was fair.I'll return to the Chophouse again, but probably not for a brunch."

"Onion rings were great as is the jalapeno cornbread and the dinner salad. The 12 oz filet was well cooked but lacks any seasoning so it is rather bland. Cheddar mashed potatoes and the aspargus were great. Just add some seasoning to the steak and the steaks will also be great.

The "unlimited" mimosas were totally flat and the bloody mary's were san vodka. "We were at the Boulder Chophouse for their Easter Brunch. $45/person. Bottom line - the Chophouse is a fantastic place...but not for Easter brunch and not at that price. Eggs were dry and cold, prime rib was raw. Crab and oysters were advertised. There was plenty of crab but never any oysters each trip back to the buffet. Omelets and eggs benedict were made to order and they were decent - but not great. I recommend the Chophouse highly, but only for what they are known and not for Easter brunch."

"Service was pretty slow when we ordered drinks from the bar. We told waitstaff we were in no rush and wanted to enjoy the evening. We felt very rushed and wait staff kept asking " are you ready to order". They must have taken that literally with the drinks. At the end of the night we headed out & stopped at hostess stand to get parking validated, they said they were out if validations. You would think after spending over $600 they would find a way to take care if this. It's not the cost if the parking, it's the principle of the matter. It's not like we came in for happy hour & left, we had a party of 9 & customer service should be the priority. Food was great, experience was poor"

"We had an excellent, highly knowledgeable waiter and the meal was fantastic! Our filet's were tender, juicy and cooked to order. We opted for the Oscar finish- sauce, sweet lump meat crab and asparagus. It was well worth it. The white cheddar mashed potatoes were great...wish I had the recipe for those. For dessert I had the flour-less chocolate cake...a true chocoholics feast. The wine list has so many selections; chose a German reisling that our waiter recommended and it was just what I liked. My husband was very happy with his beer, also recommended. This was our first time at this restaurant and we were amazed at how much space they have. We will be back.

"Love the Chop house, however the 5280 menu was disappointing, not a showcase of their best. The 1st course dishes were very small, the main meal was ok , but dessert was limited. We also visited the vespa dipping grill for 5280 had an amazing experience, just wish the chop house would make this special evening for those checkin out dining experiences."

"need to update your menu.Old style steak house. I ordered the prime rib really only 2 bites of meat the rest was grissle. My friend out steak and fries where was the meat 3 small slices. Spinach overcooked .Great waiter tho.We will not be back"

"We received our food before we had silverware and we left minutes without actually receiving it. Also I was consistently asking for water whenever I could even find a server, I expect at this nice of a restaurant for my water glass to consistently filled."

"Went for the 5280 restaraunt week. We have been to the Denver Chop House before so we decided to give the Boulder one a try. My pork chop was ok...but my husbands steak was one of, if not the best steak I have ever tasted. It was melt in your mouth tender and flavored perfectly. We had the calamari which was really good and not rubbery. For dessert I had the flour less chocolate tort. It was really good and super chocolatety. My husband had the key lime pie. I do not care for key lime anything and it wasn't that bad. It was more like a key lime cheesecake, however it had pulp in it from the limes, which I really didn't like. If you like that kind of thing then go for it. We will be back...soon."
