"Cafe of India has some nice elements, but they show an overall lack of refinement with the food. The exterior of the restaurant is pretty drab, but they have done a nice job making the interior look warm and classy, with a chandelier and an attractive bar. The drinks are a bit pricey but strong. The service is attentive and generally friendly. The food, however, was really lacking in several ways. First of all, they seem to have a really hard time with seasoning. Almost every dish we ordered tasted like they had neglected salt. The samosas were nicely fried and sauces were tasty. My boyfriend's lamb vindaloo was underspiced, and my eggplant bharta tasted more like tomato (and canned, at that) than eggplant. Somewhat disappointing meal."

"The service was very slow. I didnt enjoy the salmon at all and my drink was way to strong for what I ordered. I went because the reviews were good but I must say I was highly dissappointed. It was 1 server working the top floor it was obvious he was overwhelmed. Definitely put a damper on my Valentines Day night out."

"The food was good, especially the crispy spinach. One area for improvement: I took two of the dishes and a side home. They put it all in a styrofoam plate. the dishes bled into each other. When they have saucy food like that a covered container would be much better."
