"It was my first visit to Fandango at the recommendation from a friend who has dined there many times. The ambiance is cozy and the decor is varied and beautiful, especially the flowers. The menu is very inviting, the food is delicious and the presentation lovely.

"We'd long heard great things about Fandango - but for one reason or another had not been able to visit. Until now that is. And it surpassed all the raves others had shared with us. We arrived nearluy an hour early, and they could't have been more welcoming and understanding. The host was more than gracious as was the server and the runner. We shared an exceptionally large Beet salad and then craving a burger, we ordered Two (2). Everything was delicious and very well priced. We will definitely be returning to Fandango."

"After the self-description of Fandango, plus all the glowing reviews, I was unfortunately quite disappointed with my experience there. The food was alright, nothing extraordinary, and the service was either terrible or pretty good - depending on which waiter came to my table. I certainly don't want to think that my somewhat negative impression was a result of my being a single diner (and an older woman at that), but I did observe the very same waiter who had at first ignored me and then give me only minimal attention go to another table and burst into a big smile, offering the younger, attractive couple there some really fine service."

"We were in Pacific Grove for some much-needed R&R. We had planned to go to an old favorite restaurant for dinner, but it was closed for remodeling. We were looking for a nice, somewhat upscale meal, and turned to our OpenTable app. Five minutes later, we had booked our reservation at Fandango. Not only were our expectations met, but our daughters (aged 12 and 16) had the opportunity to try some things they hadn't eaten before. And we're a pretty well-traveled family. Well done!"

"We went to Fandango for an Easter Brunch. While setting and the pace were beautiful and the food was tasty, we don't think it was a good choice for our brunch purposes. The menu was Prix Fixe, expensive and limited to 3 choices. None of these choices were kid or picky person friendly. Our whole party felt that the food was over-salted but good and that the lactose intolerant should find another restaurant!
Overall the food was good and the service pleasant. We would go again when the menu is open."

"We figured a birthday dinner would be the perfect occasion to visit Fandango for the first time. We were seated in a small room with 3 other small tables, so the noise level was kept to a minimum, although being a part of the other guests' conversations was quite tempting. Our server was helpful and friendly, but could've confirmed our order. We had changed one of the entrees, but the change did not get made. Our appetizer was the calamari steak; never in my life have I experienced calamari as tender and flavorful as this. We had a 16 oz. lobster tail, which was fantastic, and couscous with a most delicious lamb shank stew. We will return."

"Wonderful restaurant. We loved our meal - veal piccata for me and paella for my husband. Very interesting menu. Extensive wine list to select from. Asked about the house wine and was told it was Trinity Oaks. Seems to us that given the number of california wineries that they could have selected a little better house wine. Having said that, we chose an inexpensive ($38) pinot noir and it was very good."

"The ambiance was top notch. We were seated in a semi private room with only three tables. The rack of lamb was recommended by the waiter and it was spectacular. The meat fell off the bone and it the taste was perfect. My daughter had the tortellini and it was excellent. It was served in a basil sauce and she loved it. "Food was extremely bland, particularly the entrees. Ate scallops in a wine sauce over pasta. Sauce tasted like the water the pasta was boiled in. Would never go back to this restaurant, in spite of the great service and atmosphere. Food is important. The soup was the only good food as part of the experience."

"We has a fantastic dinner. The caprese salad was delicious--I was amazed at the delicious tomatoes at this time of year. My husband enjoyed the Caesar salad. Our entries--scallops and rack of lambe were delcious. The spumoni was the best we've ever had. We had very good service. The waiter was knowledgable and friendly."
