"Although they are know for their prime rib, my husband & I each had fish dishes and they were fabulous! You can't beat the view of Waikiki Beach as you are right on the beach in this restaurant. Service was outstanding as well. Yes, it's pricey, but if you are a foodie, this is the place for you."

"We have been to this restaurant numerous times and its been very consistant about serving perfectly cooked food and great service. The view is to die for especially if you get the window table during the sunset. Prices are better if you can get there before 6pm when they have the early bird special menu. But for a nice restaurant in Honolulu, its not outrageously expensive."

"Took two elderly mothers to an early breakfast for Mother's Day, and they totally enjoyed the beachfront view. Food came fast and coffee was hot! Quick service and took us on time for our reservations. Perfect morning, couldn't ask for a better experience!"

"The ambiance and service was impeccable. The server assigned to our table paid excellent attention to us. The food just missed compared to other dining experiences we had on the island. We were there 5 nights, and this restaurant came in number 4 out of 5 for our rating, with 1 being the top score. We would eat there again because the staff and manager went out of their way to make it right. My fish arrived rock hard, requiring a knife to cut it as it was so overcooked. They immediately brought me a fresh one that was cooked perfectly. They also brought out a divine coconut cake desert that was to die for."

"What a fantastic place! Right on the water with delicious fish and great service. I would recommend this for anyone. We were celebrating our 36th Anniversary and had my sister along with us. We had made a reservation and asked for a table by the water. We got to the restaurant 15 minutes late because we went to the wrong hotel....we called and they reassured us that we still had the reservation. It was a great experience."

"Ocean House is the absolute best! My husband and I always have a fantastic time there. We are local and continue to come back to OH because everything is always perfect. The seared peppered scallops were just as delicious as the first time we got them...our favorite appetizer! My husband ordered the same as usual; the macadamia nut crusted mahi maui...he loved it. I ordered the special which at the time was Opakapaka with a shiitake mushroom cream sauce....absolutely amazing! Our server's name was Rosario. She made this experience truly relaxing. She knew the menu very well, was very friendly, open with new suggestions and even took the time to take our photo since it was my husband's birthday. Overall, another great time at the Ocean House"

"Requested seating on the veranda with reservation. Hostess sat us in a booth behind a column saying nothing else was available. One in our group complained to the hostess a few minutes later at which time she stated a table in our requested location would be available in approximately 15 minutes. That information would have been nice to know prior to our seating...we would have waited! In the end, the evening was about a nice meal with good friends with the poor seating being a minor irritant."

"We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast by the sea on Easter Sunday ... we partook of two of the specials; my wife had the mahi mahi with eggs and I had the lobster / shrimp / scallop fried rice with eggs. Both were superb and the views just added to our enjoyment of this gem of a restaurant. The wait staff was attentive but not obtrusive and the atmosphere was unbeatable. Very highly recommended!"

"Our party of four had the most enjoyable evening at Ocean House. We were seated at a perfect table to enjoy the fabulous view of the ocean and beautiful sunset. We began with appetizers of Asian-style Ribs over grilled pineapple and Ahi Carpaccio suggested by our waiter. Nice presentation and so Ono! All entrees ordered were absolutely delicious and cooked exactly to order. The service is tops! Management and servers were very attentive. Only thing I was disappointed in was that bus staff were too rushed and repeatedly tried to remove plates off the table even when food was still on app and salad pates. Being Kamaaina (locals), the Ocean House will definitely be our go-to place from now on for a night out or special occasion."

"Good food but a little pricey. We ordered the seafood lau lau and crusted macadamia nut mahi mahi. The appetizer was excellent. We had the seafood dynamite and just the right amount of spices. Very tasty but the amount was a little skimpy for the price.
Negative was that none of the entrees come with any side veggies, not even a little salad."

"Thought it would be a nice place to celebrate an occassion, but it was terrible! Most ocean-front restaurants we've been to never had sand all over the lanai or on the seats. Service was terrible! Waited for almost 5 minutes after being seated to our table for our server to greet us. Menu selection was not that great, & neither was their food. Food came out a bit cold. After we were done, another server had helped us with our check. It took a while to see our original server again."

"Great food, location, and sunset. The service was also great (3/20/13) and timely. We really enjoyed our dinner. It is pricy, like everything on Waikiki but at least the food was outstanding. Wine list could be a little bit larger (selection-wise) but we did find a bottle that we enjoyed."

"We had out of town guests and decided to eat in Waikiki since they were staying there. We chose the Ocean House Restaurant because it is right on the water. The restaurant opens directly onto the beach. The views of the ocean are unobstructed as was the view of the sunset. We were surprised at how delicious the food was. Our appetizers were especially outstanding. We had the scallops and spicy ahi roll. Both were as good as we've tasted elsewhere. Our party of 4 all had fish. The opah was especially tasty and the wives also enjoyed their stuffed mahi. Look out for coupon books at the front desk where you can find a coupon for free "lava cake" dessert with every 2 entrees purchased. It was delicious!!!"

"We were overwhelmed by the superb dining experience we recently had at Ocean House Restaurant. Jenine Goto took care of us with so much class and unobtrusive attention to detail. We were warmly greeted at the door and immediately seated at a perfect table overlooking the ocean. Our Dynamite appetizer was delicious and our prime rib dinners, perhaps the best tasting we have ever had, were perfectly sized and cooked, My husband, who is rather picky these days, savored every bite, including his glass of pinot noir. Because we were celebrating my husband's birthday, he was treated to a special raspberry sorbet dessert with a candle on it and given a remembrance photo of our dinner. We will bring the whole family next time."

"I was not very impressed with our dinner. The views are lovely but only if up against the windows. Service was mediocre but I expect better response time especially on things like checking on our food. Appetizers were fabulous - the best part of the night. Seafood Dynamite and the Escargot were flavorful and cooked nearly to perfection. Our entrees not worth mentioning and one was returned back to the kitchen. Both desserts of lava cake and crossing bread pudding weren't worth the calories. I would not recommend based on the price."

"We had an out of town guest and wanted a nice dinner beachside, but without a big bar scene (we're a bit older!). This was perfect; the staff was excellent, the food delicious and of course the view of Waikiki at sunset was so nice for an out of town guest. Our group had both the prime rib and a fish entree and both were prepared very well. Your manager and wait staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive."
