"Came for Sunday Mother's Day brunch only to find there was no brunch menu. Had a reservation at 11:00 and arrived at ten after and was given a cocktail table in the bar for four. Could hardly fit the plates. Service was slow. Potatoes came about the time we were finished with entre. Not up to the standards of a Landry's restaurant. Won't be back."

"My husband and friend enjoyed dinner. I had to wait for garlic bread because I wanted to eat it with my soup. My husband asked 3 times and finally on the fourth time he brought it. That was after I finished my risotto. I was too full to eat my soup I had to bag it to go. He also took awhile getting refills. I would come back though next time we are in Houston. We are here on business and trying out different restaurants here."

"My husband and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant on valentine's night. I had reserved a table the day before. When we arrived on time on Valentine's night there was a line of around 30 people outside the restaurant waiting and apparently all of them had reservations!! We were seated after a full hour of wait standing outside in the cold weather and also waiting inside. Finally our dinner was served an hour after we were seated. So in total 2 hours of wait in spite of reservation!! We were also seated at a table that was close to the entrance door and it was very cold. We ended up taking our food to go!! Basically, our Valentine's night was completely ruined!! :( :("

"Our reservation on 2-14-13 was scheduled for 8:30 p.m. As we drove in the parking lot we saw at least 15 couples or perhaps more standing at the entrance door. The valet attendants were not present so we drove around the parking lot a couple of times and fortunately found a back parking space. After observing the bee-line of couples standing in line we already knew something was wrong. I stayed in the car and my husband got out of the car to ask the hostess if our reserved table was ready for us. The hostess said there would be a 2 hour wait. Furthermore, my husband asked the first couple in line how long they have been waiting and they said since 7:00 p.m. We will never make a reservation again with Willie G's."

"Food was cold and other parties were loud. Not a place to enjoy a nice, quiet dinner. When you pay over $110.00 for two dinners, you expect more. At least a semi-quiet dinner."

"All in all it was a good experience. The only complaint I had was that the waiter offerred us a sample platter of appetizers. I thought "great, that sounds good". Then we get the check and he had charged us menu price for every single thing on the platter. IE: we ended up paying almost 100$ just for the appetizer."

"Brought me and my partner here for valentines day,actually Wednesday and was able to get a nice seat and no line and the food was excellent. I advise anyone that does not have a Landry's card to get one. 80.00 meal turned into 26 bucks..get the card its worth it..."

"Went to Willie G's on Valentine's night. We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. This was to be expected on such a busy night. We were seated in a side room where rows of temporary tables covered with white tablecloths with the folding table legs exposed were arranged to pack in as many people as possible. That sort of took away from the ambience of the occasion. The food and service was okay and we were told by our server when we requested more garlic bread that they had run out! However, on a regular day, the quality of food and service is better. We hadn't been there in a few years but would be willing to give it another try."

"We were pleasantly surprised to find a 7:30pm spot still available a week out from Valentines Day...along with the rest of Houston. The place intentionally overbooked by 400 guests for prime time unlike the respectable restaurants in Houston. When you arrived you ran into a line of cars stemming from the restaurant down Post Oak. You finally make it to the valet who greets you with, "Do you have a rsvt?...yes. It will be a 1.5 hour wait," and points to a line of disappointed dates wrapping the building. People were livid, and special nights were ruined...what a joke! We had a nice evening of take out from our favorite Chinese spot."

"Maybe go any night other than Valentines. We never got seated to know about the food or service. Had 7pm reservations, arrived on time, still not seated by 7:35pm, saw no hope, and left. More crowded than ChickFilA at noon and about the same ambiance. People waited over 20 minutes in line out the door just to get to hostess stand. Terrible management of reservations! Clearly allowed too many for time slots, not taking into account drop-ins. Did not prioritize reservations. Expect more from a Landry's restaurant. Couldn't even get to bar. Customers' food/drinks were schlepped through the crowd which is gross. Even if we got seated, we feared the service and ambiance. People hanging over all the tables unless seated very far back. A circus."

"We had reservations for 8 pm on Valentines Day and was not seated until 9:05 pm. Although I know that we might have to wait a bit to be seated; an hour wait is unacceptable. I truly believe that they overbooked for the night and that is very inconsiderate."

"It was a Valentine reservation and we were very disappointed. We understand it's a busy night, however my steak was ordered rare and delivered very well done, the waiter took it back and returned with another, again well done. A restaurant of that caliber should not make mistakes of that magnitude...twice.
We were seated in a banquet area at folding tables, not in the main dining area, needless to say the ambiance suffered.
We have been to Willie G's before and had an enjoyable experience, we will go elsewhere for Valentine's next year."

"DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS HERE. I made a reservation for 7:45PM on Valentines night. When Arriving at the restraunt with my wife I was surprised to find out that Willie G's defininition of a reservation is that you have to stand in line outside of the restraunt for a 1/2 hour before giving your name to the hostess. At which point you wait another 45 minutes before being seated. Once seated we waited another hour to get our food. The food was okay but nothing special and definatley not worth the wait. It really ruined our evening. If a restraunt manager does not know how to manage taking reservations then they should not accept them period.I do not recomend going for a special occossion. No discount provided at the end of the night either."

"Considering the craziness for Valentines day, the restaurant has let the quality of the food slip, the service was rushed, the noise was blinding, the prices are high. We had little choice for that day, most restaurants would not accept reservations. If you go to Willie-G's on a normal day, the prices are still high, the noise is high, the food is normally much better, the service is gracious and attentive. A great place to go on special occasions."

"Never have I had such an experience. I had an 8:00 PM resevation on Feb.14. The Valet tells me that even with a resevation it was going to be 30-45 minutes wait, but that was just to get up to the desk to get signed in so you could find out how long the wait was. So it took from 07:45 to 09:30 before we had our food. Valentines day or not when I place a resevation I expect it to be honored. Never again for me and never will I recommend it. Nothing was offered in way of compensation. This was our worst Valentines day night ever."
