John Steven, Ltd.
John Steven ltd. has been a part of Fell's Point for many years. Around 1911, originally called the Holmes Hotel, we were a premiere spot for weary travelers looking for a simple watering hole and a nice place to bed down for the evening. In the 1950's, armed only with a bar and wrapped sandwiches, two men humbly began the dedication to quality and service that we honor today. In 1978, we became John Steven ltd., and have been serving Fell's Point and beyond ever since! Nestled on the corner of Ann and Thames St., we have quietly become a Baltimore gem. Experience great food, and welcoming, friendly service in our dining room or covered courtyard. We also have nice sidewalk seating, right in front of the harbour, and our tavern, featuring twenty different taps! We have a great menu with wonderful dishes from land and sea, as well as daily specials for lunch and dinner, weekday happy hour, and the best steamed fare in town! Join us and be part of history!

"I dined here last night with my husband and another couple (visiting from Portland) plus their 6-month old baby. It was fantastic! The service was good, the food was delicious, and the ambience was just right. It was pretty quiet and we had an entire dining room to ourselves, but that was likely due to it being a Tuesday evening. Also, most people were seated outside, which we probably would have done if it hadn't been so hot out there. I ordered the Scallop Trio (appetizer) and a cup of the Cream of Crab soup, both which were absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the chicken, which was a tad overcooked but still really good. Our friends got the Cobb salad and the crab cakes, which they were very happy about!"

"We were seated on the enclosed patio and was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Very good food. Amazing crab dip, lobster mac & cheese and the lobster sandwich were spectacular! Large portions at an affordable price. Would highly recommend."

"Stumbled upon this little pub during one of my lunch excursions and couldn't be happier. Sat outside and enjoyed the pedestrians and water view. Service and food were very good. Definitely will become a frequent diner."

"The food was amazing! Every single bite was heaven for me! It almost seemed as the specials that night were built around our favorite things. I had the scallops and pasta with a cremini mushroom sauce..my husband had the filet with purle mashed potatoes and white asparagus. We also had mussels and calamari with a bottle of Reisling. Hands down one of the best meals I have ever had in my life! Our waiter was terrific too. Very nice young man."

"Excellent crab cakes. Some of the best ever. No need for the side sauce. The sauce was used in the crab cake simply to hold the together b/c there was so much lump meat. Two were very filling!! Great portions. Crab nachos were yummy too. Can't go wrong here regardless of what you order."
