Once in a while, a restaurant comes along that captures the essence of a place and a particular time better than any other, Five-O has that magic, and defines a night out in Oquinquit. Its sophisticated with high style, always fun, service is well-paced and the food is excellent.
"We are frequent diners at Five O for dinner. This was the first time we had brunch to celebrate Mother's Day. While the brunch buffet looked outstanding with many choices, we opted to order off the menu and were not disappointed. Great service, as usual. Taken right on time (we had reservations). The only "flaw" was that there was a piano player and the music was just too loud. We are all for live music, particularly at a brunch, but given the size of the dining room and how busy it was, the noise level got a bit loud. We'd suggest softer playing!"

"This is an adorable spot in town with delicious brunch service! The ambiance was just right, low key, but very charming. The service was terrific. They handled special requests with ease and hospitality. And the food was really good. The kitchen whips up a wonderful brunch that is super tasty. I had the pleasure of trying a lobster omelette (special request). All of the flavors merged together (feta & asparagus), making this dish memorable and special."

"Went for Mother's Day Brunch. The food was decent but the service needs some help. The restaurant was only half full so I would be concerned about dining here on a busy night. My omelette was under cooked so I needed to go up and have them cook another one for me. The home fries were deep-fried and over cooked but the other items in the buffet looked decent.
There was a bit of a comedy routine going on as it took three wait staff to decide where to place the bowls for the yogurt. They finally decided to place the bowls next to the yogurt!! Good choice staff. The waiter never returned to the table with the rest of my wife's order but when the bill came it was fully charged. The waiter did remove the items when brought to his attention."

"After reading stellar reviews about this restaurant we decided to take our friends to 5-0 for a special occasion. The food was really nothing special. The restaurant was nearly empty so it is hard to speak to the ambience factor. we all agreed that the best tasting dish we had was the mushroom and leek ragout, which was one of the small plate appetizer offerings."

"We had never been to this restaurant before and had never heard about it from others. "Stumbled" across it during an Open Table search and the reviews and menu looked promising. We were there celebrating a birthday with friends. Had an amazing meal -- everything we ordered was delicious. Great service. Ogunquit is a great town, too. Loved everything about it!"

"We went to Five-O based on its online reviews and were not disappointed. Our appetizer and two entrees were devine, and even though were not in the mood for a cocktail, everyone's around us looked so good we almost ordered some. The atmosphere was lively but not too loud and is a great place for a dinner night out, a few drinks with friends or brunch on the weekends. We would go back here in a heartbeat if our travels take us through Ogunquit again :)"

"It was a spur of the moment that we decided to go there. It was their last night open before their holiday break. My partner and I enjoy sitting at the bar and talking with the locals that we know.
It is always a pleasure to see the staff!"

"We decided to try Five-O because of the many great reviews. The dining room was warm and inviting. Our server offered very helpful advice regarding the food and wine menu. We started with a trio of small plates and each dish was very tasty but the Mushroom and Melted Leek Ragout was our favorite. The Escargot was excellent, with arugula and small chunks of prosciutto. The Carbonara had a more pungent cheese that made for a slightly unusual smell/taste. The best meal of the night was the duck, which was very well prepared with wonderfully complementary flavors. For desert, we tried the warm chocolate cake and were quite pleased. The cake was very light and the center was perfectly cooked. The chef's attention to detail shines through."

"Live locally, have heard good things about restaurant and figured we would try it for brunch. We made a reservation online for brunch so were seated upon arrival by very friendly staff. The service was friendly and kind of felt like a hometown place. I am Italian and very fussy about food. The only other place I like for breakfast in the area is The Stolen Menu Cafe and the Five-O was excellent and was more upscale as far as ambiance. Ingredients tasted fresh, brunch was creative (Susie g Koman fundraiser) pancakes ribbon shaped, and food was hot and delicious and priced right. Will go back and will pass the word.
The only thing I did notice upon arriving was that it was dark looking but that might be nicer at night.
Thanks"

"Loved the small plates to start- very tasty! I enjoyed the special of duck breast with quinoa, cranberry and pecan stuffing - interesting and delicious. My husband found his haddock cool not hot, and dried out. But we both enjoyed the delicious cheesecake. The service was good."
