"My girlfriend and I sat in their outdoor dining area for a dinner in celebration of my birthday. Little did we know that out party of two was made into an obnoxious party of 3 when a tow truck decided to pull up during peak dinner hours and drown out any chance of ambience or charm. Service was semi lousy but the food was good and moderately priced. The tow truck birthday dinner will go on in my memories making sure I think twice before headed to Willow's wrecker service."

"Our children gave us a gift certificate at Christmas for the Willow. This young couple do nothing but fine dining. They will not do any chain restaurants. We didn't have any idea where it was as we are from the south hills and you know we never cross the bridge HA HA. we found it with great ease. The place was not crowded but again it was on a Sunday, It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we certainly had a wonderful dinner. I believe our waiter's name was Tyler and he was very attentive and explained things and great for customer service. THe food was wonderful, and the selection was great. The desert menu was alittle limited as two were unavailable. We had a great time and thank you for the opportunity to enjoy it."

"Went here with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. I didn't know what to expect as I hadn't heard much about this place before. I was pleasantly surprised. We had Kylene as a waitress and she did a great job. The food was amazing. I had the twin filets, and my gf had a vegetarian dish. I don't eat Veggies, but hers was delicious too! The dining area was a little louder than I would have preferred, but it was still good. We will be visiting Willow again, I think you should too."

"I love Willow and it's ambiance. I always come here for special occasions like birthdays etc. They changed the menu often. This time, I ordered the Lobster Bites and the LAMB LOINS for my husband. The lobster bites was lacking some seasonings. My husband's lamb was good but not spectacular with seasoning. Both food were very bland, The plate presentation was excellent for the lamb. There's a tiny fly that went into my water goblet. I started getting mosquito bites later in the evening. Our waiter was too slow in the beginning and too fast at the end of the meal. But overall it was a decent experience. Next time, I will prefer to be seated inside."

"Most of us liked our food. Not loved, liked. Pork chop was cooked correctly. Fish was over cooked. Some food was over seasoned. Side dishes were enjoyable. We found the wait staff to be excessively gracious. I typically truly appreciate good manners but it got to be a bit much when every time one of us said thank you the reply was always "oh it's my pleasure". This went on for the entire 2 hours from the waiter to the busboy. I was a little surprised that when we ordered the cherry trifle the waiter said it was topped with strawberries. He later corrected himself saying they all taste the same anyway. It's not a bad place to go. It seems to be a rathe popular spot. There's just someway that it misses the mark for us."

"Willow is close to the city and an easy drive after Theatre or Opera in Pgh. We have always been pleased with service, food and menu, although this time we didn't find Duck on the menu except as a small plate. We found the downstairs dining area with its wooden floors and view of Patio informal and a little noisy as the room filled up. Although the room was (3 tables) intimate enough. We prefer the carpeted upstairs for atmosphere and view."

"Went May 2nd and was expecting a larger crowd due to their wine special. Only three tables occupied ouside and a couple inside. We had the roasted beet salad, the beets did not tasted roasted, but the dressing was fantastic. Duck tacos were a bit on the dry side. Service was excellent and the wine very tasty."

"I was in Pittsburgh on business and stopped by Willow for lunch on a Friday. The place was very empty so it was quiet and serene. I had the soup of the day (chicken with veggie) and a burger without a bun that was topped with cheddar, onion rings, pork belly, and some kind of bbq sauce. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the Argentinean Malbec. For dessert the poached pear with marscapone and basil was delightful. The food is always creative and first-rate. This is one of the best restaurants in the Pittsburgh area."

"I had my 80 year-old parents with me...requested to be downstairs and they could not honor my request despite a phone call in the early afternoon. The stairs are dark and touch with a cane! There was a loud private party upstairs which made conversation quite difficult."

"Hadn't been to willow in a while, but recently went for our anniversary. As per usual, the food was outstanding and our server Kaylee was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and helped provide an all around pleasant experience. One of the things I've always liked about Willow (aside from a great menu) is the quality of service and Kaylee certainly did not disappoint. We will definitely be back--hopefully it won't be so long between visits for the next time!"

"All was great as expected, except that I had called earlyer the day of my reservation to ensure that the flowers I had ordered to be on the table were not there, and when I asked the hostess she said there were no flowers delivered that day. But she asked around and found them. Just would of been nice if I didn't have to ask when I arrived. Was reason why I had called before my reservation."

"Three of us each had a different meal and they were all outstanding! We also had the mac and cheese small plate- fabulous! I know this dish is all the rage but Willow's was different and the best I have had. I could eat here every night. The menu is different and all of the food is delicious! "Went with a group of friends for a "Girls Night Out". It's a bit pricey for an everyday restaurant, but perfect for a special night out. The food was wonderful and the service was great. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended both food and wine choices that were excellent. Unfortunately it was too cold to enjoy the outdoor seating, but we requested a table near the fireplace which made for an intimate and cozy dining atmosphere."

"Our experience was wonderful- we met another couple for dinner and we had excellent food and service. While pricey, you definitely got what you paid for-we were not disappointed. Our service was top notch as well, and overall would definitely recommend for a special occasion or to meet out friends for a very nice dinner."

"Our attempt to have a dinner at Willow was a disaster. My wife and I made a reservation for 6:30 PM on a Sunday. We arrived at 6:30 and then waited for someone - anyone!- to seat us. After ~10 minutes, a person showed up and said that a table wasn't available. This was even though we made a reservation that was accepted via OpenTable. By 7:00 we decided to give up and left."

"I was not happy with the fact that I ordered something that was not correctly prepared and the waiter acknowledged his error and took the entre back but brought it back out the same way. When questioned he tried to say it was correct but it seemed no different. The wine my husband ordered was over priced for such a small amount given in the glass. I would not return."

"Willow was excellent. It's off the beaten path and was a great spot to take my wife on Valentines day. We did not actually try the V-Day specials because there were so many other great options throughout the menu. Service was excellent and we were never rushed. Everything was timed perfectly."
