"I love a restaurant where the chef doesn't mind my food sensitivities and asking for changes to dishes on the menu. I had the salmon with the kale instead of the sauce that contained cream. My husband had the meatloaf as is - a total plate of comfort food. Both were yummy. The brussel sprouts were amazing as a side dish! We went early before a Kings playoff game. The restaurant wasn't very full and our waiter was very attentive and took good care of us. A little pricey but I'd definitely go again!"

"Went to LA Market prior to seeing the Rollilng Stones at Staples. It's a nice comfortable restaurant amid the craziness of the lobby of the Marriott Hotel - fun for people watching, grazing and sharing a good bottle of wine. This restaurant isn't going to set the culinary world on fire but it's dependable and very good for what it is. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the Caesar Salad but the Brussel Sprouts were delicioius, the charcuterie is great to nibble on and my friend loved his burger. Great, attentive service and generally a nice place to go at L.A. Live that you don't have to spend a fortune."

"We went to this restaurant the night of the Stones playing at the Staples. When we arrived, it was still pretty empty which means we received awesome service from our great Waitress... however, as time moved on, and more and more people arrived, it appeared our Waitress, although doing her best, was way over capacity. Also, where were the "bus boys"? Our plates sat untouched for likely a 1/2 hour before our overloaded Waitress picked them up. On the food side, we all ordered the Fish & Chips, which were okay. We did though love, love the Brussels Sprouts dish and the Beets !! They were both fabulous. All in all, we go back again and try some other dishes!"

"This was our first time at LA Market, service was attentive but not hovering, the waitperson was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. Only complaints - we each had a glass of wine, the selection was limited and a little pricey, and there were no vegetarian entree options. It's probably unfair to rate the noise level since we went on a Friday before a sold-out concert. The hotel lobby (restaurant location) was buzzing, the bar (restaurant adjacent) was packed, and we were seated near the entrance. Considering all that the noise wasn't bothersome, but the environment wasn't as relaxing as it could have been. There was also a constant parade of food coming from the kitchen to another bar area across the lobby, odd."

"The food and wine list were excellent. I was very happy with the menu selection and the quality of the items. I was especially pleased that I didn't see nachos or chicken wings on the menu. The service was near perfect. The wait staff was very polite, prompt, efficient, and attentive. The only issue was the waiter had his sleeve in my water at one point as well as in the butter dish. The Crème Brule was divine. My husband especially enjoyed his desert cocktail. Ambiance was okay, considering it was situated in a hotel lobby at LA Live and there was a table of tourists with screaming children immediately next to us. I would be happy to dine there again."

"not much of a beer selection at the bar inside the restaurant; new york steak plate was over priced at $42 (for maybe a 4 oz portion). the extra portion of ribmeat was an afterthought, nothing to write home about; i was there last year and had a 8oz portion new york steak for $30ish. prices up, but food portions down, i liked the atmosphere and the waitstaff. 50-50 if I'll come back."

"We loved the clean, uncluttered lines and earthy colors of this restaurant, as well as it's light, open feel. We could not have asked for better service from our very nice, attentive server. The flat iron steak with cauliflower (every color!) over a fabulous carrot puree was perfectly cooked. The fish special of the day, halibut (which can be quite bland) was incredible with the baby bok choy and asian seasonings. We will definitely be going again for a special occasion."

"We stopped in during a lunch break from our meetings at the convention center and the service was prompt and helpful but not exceptional. The pretzel bread in the bread basket is a must as well as the pulled pork sandwich! Although, be mindful of the bright red peppers in this sandwich, while they add a flavorful amount of heat, if you get a large bite of one, the heat is a little much."

"Amazing service and menu selection. The atmosphere is open and light with nice views of LA Live. I and my date cam through prior to attending an event at Staples. Great atmosphere and service, the evening manager makes his way to each table, not just to ask if you need anything, but to make sure your dining experience is exceptional. It was for us, and if your lucky, as we were, you might see some hollywood notables sitting across from your table."

"My girlfriend and I decided to make a reservation at LA Market before the Alicia Keys concert at Staples Center. I received an email that by showing our concert tickets we would receive 15% off of our bill at selected restaurants, one of which being LA Market. We had great service at the beginning of our meal, but once we got our wine and last appetizer (delivered by a busboy) we didn't sleeve our waiter again until we realized we needed to leave for the concert. We continued waiting and finally we waived down the first employee that would acknowledge us and asked for the bill. We were in such a hurry that we paid in cash and included the tip. We feared that if we asked for the 15% we would be late.

"this is the 4th time there before the Lakers' game, and this is the last time I will ever go to this restaurant. The waitress is so nice and sweet this time, but it took 40 minutes to get the breakfast. The excuse for being late was it is more difficult to serve breakfast and lunch at the same time - same excuse as before. If they can't serve breakfast and lunch, they shouldn't have it on the menu."

"Eclectic menu. Martinis were excellent. My spouse selected the Strawberry and Basil martini and I selected the Vodka Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. For starters we selected the Wok Charred Edamame which were very tasty. My L.A. Market pizza had a blend of flavors however it was topped with an under cooked egg. My spouse's Margarita Pizza was more like a flat bread. Our side dish of Crispy Brussel Sprouts arrived at the table luke warm but were flavorful."

"Disappointing, to say the least. Sushi pizza sounded intriguing. Soggy crust. Tasteless fish, weird sauce. Fish & Chips was much better. Perhaps the chef's faves would be better choices but was a miss. The only saving grace was the outstanding & helpful waiter. He was a gem. We're going to give it one more try but we're done after that. 2 $$ is also a stretch."

"Environment was nice and cozy with overview of the LALive walkway. Staff courteous and welcoming. Service was a bit slow. Had to wait for the bread. Waitress forgot to comeback to ask about the wine choice. We had to call someone else over to order the wine. Chicken Soup was too bland. The Baked chicken was really good, the salmon was decent. I am willing to give them another try and taste some of the other menu selections. While the staff was courteous, I expected a bit more attentiveness in service. We had to ask for check when we were ready to go. Overall, this was a decent restaurant experience, and we still gave a good tip for their effort."

"Great cosmopolitans. The food is good but not extraordinary or forehead-slapping cuisine. It's a wide open space that almost makes you think you're still in the massive hotel atrium. Our server was enthusiastic and darling, and well informed. The kitchen may not have backed him up as well as they might have. The pace of service was erratic, but clearly not his fault."

"I was actually pretty disappointed with the food. We ordered the Mediterranean appetizer and that was great, but the salmon and Margherita pizza were nothing to write home about. The best part of the entire meal was the pretzel bread brought out before the meal. Service was a little slow, but it was a busy night with 2 concerts at the nearby venues."

"I took an employee here for lunch. I was disappointed in the food. There was nothing particularly special about it. Lunch with starters, entrees and no alcoholic beverages cost $96.00. I would normally never have a problem with a $100.00 lunch if it was good food. It was less than average. I might consider trying here for dinner.
I will say that our server Andrew was great. He was very friendly and provided excellent service."

"Great casual dining choice with great ambience and interesting menu choices. All the items you would expect at a nice restaurant, twisted up with new sauces and sides. Our tables' favorite was the sushi pizza. It was fantastic!"
