"I think this place is existing based on past reputation. 3 of us had dinner. 2 of us ordered New York Strip. To be honest, the steak was sub-par and fatty. Maybe this is more of a seafood place.. Drinks were fine, but certainly not generously filled with alcohol. I'd go elsewhere next time."

"We were celebrating my wife's birthday - she always has stone crabs on her birthday. While we are long-time customers, we can't be classified as frequent diners. In spite of that, even the valet folks recognize us! We had a booth in the back - very quiet. Food and service were both perfect. We will be back."

"Had a great dinner here on 3/30 with 3 girlfriends. Nice house salad to start, with carefully selected greens. Between the 4 of us we sampled the small filet, tuna and a scallop special, plus the schezuan green beans and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and we finisehd with the chocolate bag filled with berries, cream and pound cake. It was a very generous size and just right for 4 people. All in all, a nice dinner experience and one I would recommend."

From the minute we walked in the front door we were greeted by name & the hostess acknowledged that it was our 1st visit. She was gracious & helpful in telling us that Happy Hour was still going on in the bar & that information saved us 25% on a good bottle of wine. The food was very good & well presented. Try the Crab Cake as it was grilled & quite good. The Carrot Cake is enough for 4 or more people & it is excellent."

"We arrived at Tuluck's for our anniversary and from the moment we walk in to when we pay the bill the service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. My wife enjoyed her Center-Cut File and I the Kobe Rib-eye, both were cooked to perfection. Thank you Truluck's for a wonderful dinner on our anniversary and we will be seeing you again soon. "my boyfriend came to visit me for my birthday weekend and Truluck's is where we went to dine. Though we arrived 20minutes after our reservation time, the staff was still very welcoming. It was very elegant, decor was just right, soft low music, and dim lights and pretty much romantic. there even was someone playing the piano. We had a crabcake for an appetizer and it was very tasty. all the spices were blended well. i wouldn't mind having that again. for the main course i had a shrimp and chorizo soup and my love helped himself to a shrimp platter i believe it was. our server was very polite and respectful; oustanding service. my boyfriend +trulucks was a good birthday present. i recommend Truluck's to anyone wanting a romantic night out!"

"I frequent Truluck's and have found it to be one of my favorite restaurants in houston. The seating is comforable and well space so you don't feel enclosed in a small space. The waiter are beyond exceptional. I have not order anything that I disliked as of yet. But i would strongly recommend the seafood tower and crab cakes to start, anything off the entree menu, and the Carrot cake is by far the best I have ever had. Complimentary Valet parking. Reservations are strongly recommended. "My girlfriend and I celebrated our Valentine's dinner at Truluck's the day after Valentine's and it was great we really enjoyed our food and our dessert was amazing not sure what it was called but they set it on fire before our eyes and then we got to eat it very cool! "We've been going to the Houston and Dallas locations for years. There were a few women at the table behind my husband that would get quite loud with laughter (to the point the piano player offered to mention it to one of the managers). Luckily they left by the time we had dessert. I think our server was a bit taken with them, thus losing his attention to us on occasion. He DID however surprise us with a lovely FLAMING dessert for our anniversary ON THE HOUSE. The piano player did a few songs for us as well, so it made our anniversary a romantic one."

"I've been to two Truluck's locations (one in Austin, and one in Houston) numerous times. My dining experience has always been the same...phenomenal food and superb service. The food is a bit pricey, but well worth the money when you factor in the overall dining experience of outstanding food quality, extremely attentive servers, and and an elegant ambiance. I highly recommend trying the Alaskan king crab legs and the carrot cake for dessert!"

"We went there for my girlfriend's birthday. Our reservation was at 9:15 we arrived at 8:30 and went to sit at the bar where it had a live piano player that played all of my favorite songs. 15 min later they got table for us and sat us earlier than our reservation, that was awesome! Our waitress was very attentive. The food was amazing, we order bisque, fried oysters, Filet & seafood special, medium crab claws. The sauce that came with the Steak filet was a bit salty. Other than that, they all were great!
It was a wonderful experience"

"Food was excellent as always. My friend's steak did come out rare instead of med. rare, but they quickly fixed that. The wait staff was pretty good, but were a little forgetful on bringing items we requested a couple times. It was a birthday event and they definitely made up for it with the presentation of the dessert. I will say that the chairs weren't that comfortable. I haven't been in years and I recall the old location having comfortable chairs. The off the menu kids selection was excellent."

"Everything was prepared well. Food presentation was excellent. The Stone Crabs served on ice was excellent. The chocolate box dessert was over the top! The service at this restaurant was some of the best I have ever experienced. The timing between courses was perfect. Not too fast but there when you expected it.
And the manager came around and helped by taking our bill for payment so we didn't have to wait.

"great food, but the clincher was the birthday dessert and service. The staff was amazing and they have a fabulous birthday treat, tasty and beautiful, but they also have signed cards for the birthday person, very nice touch. I am a REALLY picky eater and had several changes made to my dinner, not only did the special request not get the evil eye, everything was delivered exactly as I asked it to be, rare that I get it without mistakes!
