"We dined before the Fleetwood Mac concert. The wine selection was impressive and the food quality was excellent. The antipasti plate was superb. We had a great server who moved us through the courses at a relaxing pace. She was knowledgeable about the menu selections and her advice was spot on."

"I was really looking forward to lunch there. The short of it - my pasta was inedible (I literally didn't eat it) & our dessert was clearly burnt. I KNOW I should have said more at the time. But, burnt is burnt - they never should have served it. The next day, it really started to bother me - especially for how much I spent. Everyone I know who has been there loves it and said I should give them a second chance. So, I went back within the week. I had some wine at the bar and asked to talk to a mgr. He didn't seem to care much at all. He sent out a sample of the pasta I had. It was a little better, but still not at all remarkable. By then, it was too late to order anything else. Nothing about my visits makes me want to return."

"Went for a casual lunch and the food was delicious. Both of us ordered the seafood cannelloni. The rolled pasta sheets came filled with a lighter ricotta mixture containing large pieces of seafood. The pasta was served with a light sauce below and tomato sauce on top. It was definitely a dish filled with decadence that both of us agreed we could eat every day. The service and atmosphere was also superb."

"I have been to Chinato for lunch on numerous occasions and you can always count on good food and being served to meet to occasion. On this visit it was casual business. Needed time to talk, no rushing. The waiter handled it perfectly. Pounded chicken was outstanding."

"This was my first visit. The inside is beautiful. Our waiter was very patient in explaining dishes we were unfamiliar with. There were 4 of us & we had mussels and salumi plate for appetizers.The shaved fennel in the mussels was an unusual & successful ingredient. I wish there was a bit more cheese on the salumi plate because I LOVED it!.
For our dinners, 2 got the seafood cannelloni on the recommendation of a server . It was delicious and the men both said it was plenty filling. Another in the group got the scallops. She loved them and the potatoes that came in with. I got the Tonnarelli with black pepper, pecorino & lemon. Unfortunately, there was little black pepper or pecorino. My dish was disappointing but the rest was great."

"We were seated immediately and had a good table away from the bar area so it was quieter. All of us were pleased with the food. Three people got the pizzas and salads and one got the pasta with pulled pork shoulder. A good thing is that with the pasta dishes, the diner can chose a small or large portion which really makes it nice. The breads are homemade and the server just kept the slices coming which was great as the bread was fabulous! The wine list was great, specializing in Italian wines. Dessert was our disappointment. The panna cotte was mediocre at best and the chocolate mousse cake was just OK. But we left satisfied and had a very postive experience overall."

"The desserts were excellent as was the swordfish entree. The pasta dishes were just a bit off in some way. The gnocchi was a little tough, the carbonara just tasted of cream and the linguini was swimming in a broth that was spicy but not complex enough.
The table we were placed at was right in front of the kitchen and it did not lend itself to the intimate, celebratory feeling that I was looking for on our family's special occasion."

"This is a great restaurant. We have just returned from Italy and this food is on par with that. Some of the entrees are available in half portions which allow you to try more items. There are wide and varied selections.They have a nice wine list.

"We were looking forward to the dining experience. Well known restaurant in great part of town. Our expectations were high. This was our 3RD Zack Bruell restaurant. As with the previous two, disappointing. Service, ambiance and location were great. Food however, not so good. We ordered the salad special. Now I like vinegar, but this dressing was WAY over the top with vinegar. Ordered the veal entre, half of the portions were pure fat. Never saw that much fat on veal before. Dessert was tiramisu. Not bad, but not memorable either. Since Chinato is touted as an Italian restaurant we'll try one more time, but order the pasta instead."

"The menu is a little unusual so it takes some thoughtful selection but everything we have had has been great. This was our second time at the resteraunt. The first time we felt quite rushed and were in and out very quickly. The second time we had a great server who made good recommendations and was very entertaining. We had a really great evening."

"I wanted to love Chinato, as I am Italian and always appreciate homemade pasta & good wine. I would not go as far as to say that I had a bad experience, but rather that Chinato did not live up to expectations or price tags. The service was very good (until the end of the meal, when our waiter seemed to avoid our table), and we really enjoyed our wine. However, the food was just good, especially in relation to the excessive prices. The gnocchi was the best thing I tasted, but not worth of its price tag and I was very disappointed with the fish special and my pasta (which was more like a bowl of mushy, unlayered lasagna - The Pappardelle). I had better Italian growing up at home, and can get better for half the price elsewhere in Cleveland."

"If you go when there is a event at the Q expect a lot of energy and noise. After the event starts it calms down for a wonderful and romantic evening. The bar seems to always be the place to be. Lots of great service and the food is out of this world. Going to make this a regular place for dinner, even thought it's a 45 minute trip to get there it is well worth the travel."
