"They change their menu every month, hence the name 12. Maybe we got a bad month, but the food was just not there. It was good, but didn't leave me saying, dang that was mind blowing good food. The service was great and I have heard really good reviews, maybe we will try again next month."

"After reading reviews here and other places, we were excited to try Twelve, but left disappointed. We went on Sunday night, so perhaps we didn't get the best this place had to offer but the food from appetizer to dessert was bland and flavorless. With four of us, we tried most of the menu and the food - from the chicken, steak, ' scallops to the sweatbreads - was not good across the board."

"The service is always gracious without being invasive. The wine list is selective, rather than exhaustive. Some wonderful half bottles and all tuned for the food. We had the "May" menu. The $38 prix fixe deal is the best high end dining deal in Denver. We tried the asparagus soup, the kale 2 ways, the chicken, the duck 2 ways, pain perdu and ricotta cake. As always, the meat was delicious. But what continues to amaze us is Chef Osaka's hand with vegetables. The core of each is maintained while there are always unusual touches in seasoning and texture. This food is absolutely worth the weekend prices, but the prix fixe allows those of us trying to be more budget conscious to still have a wonderful dining experience."

"It's as if you go through a transformation as you enter Twelve. To walk through the door and see a beautifully designed space, was so inviting. This is a wonderful restaurant - all the way around. From the staff, to the presentation of the dishes, the food itself, and the feeling of the room - I loved it! The menu changes monthly, so a wonderful reason to keep coming back. The prixe fixe menu is a great way to taste many things, without being overstuffed. The wait staff was incredibly patient and helpful. I highly recommend Twelve"

The food is consistently excellent and shockingly tasty. For April, both the lamb dish and the scallops are flawlessly executed and incredible. And who knew I could love carrot soup? Wow!
This is easily my favorite Denver restaurant, and no other is even close. I'm already eagerly anticipating my next visit to Twelve!"

"We had a party of 8 and since there's only 6 appetizers and 6 entrees on the menu we sampled just about everything. It was all delicious. We had my 2 kids with us, 7 and 10 years old and they loved everything too. (though they are foodies and not mac and cheese, hot dog kids )The carrot soup was amazing and the waiter even brought 2 small cups out for my kids to have some in addition to their appetizer. The scallops were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Service was great. The waiter was very attentive to all of our needs."

"Excellent all around. The April menu was spectacular as we HIGHLY enjoyed our meal. Carrot soup was unique and superb. My scallops were some of the best I've ever had, in which the thin slices of smoky duck atop each piece pulled out a surprising sweetness from the scallops. The fiancé's sea bass was fabulous - the flavorful sausage was an innovative combination with the fish. The pain perdu was a deliciously dense bread pudding and arrived with a delightful housemade ice cream. YUMMERS. Memorable and absolutely recommended! Well-dressed clientele, with more mature folks in the early part of dinner service until 7:30PM. Outstanding service by Justin and staff (friendly, great timing, never went thirsty)."

"Dining @ Twelve can be a fabulous or just great, depending on the month. What I mean is that since the menu changes monthly, what you get this month might suit you better or less so than last month or next month. While this may mean that a dish you loved last month is no longer available, maybe something new this month will tickle your taste buds. I see and taste the drawbacks of this approach, but on the whole I applaud the chef's spirit of adventure. It keeps the kitchen fresh and excited about their job and the diners on their toes. Nouveau cuisine, monthly."

"The food was incredible! The restaurant was a little louder than I would've liked. I think it was due to the several large groups, including ours, that were at the restaurant at the same time as us. The upside on the wait staff is, they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to the menu and the selection of wines, which was extensive. The down side, they were pretty slow. This may be by design, but 2 hours for the entrees to be served and date is a bit much. I will definitely be going back to Twelve, the food is fantastic, and that's the only reason to go to a restaurant, right?"

"We had high hopes. Maybe it was the night (Sunday), as the place was almost empty. At any rate the food was just ok. My husband had bass, which was a little undercooked for his liking but he said the flavor was good. I had chicken, which was definitly undercooked (very pink and the texture was rawish) and I couldn't eat but about half of it. To me the flavor was ok but nothing special. We might try it again with a different menu."

"Good, but expensive. We received a warm welcome and the waiter was very helpful and well informed. The room has a tasteful decoration, which is in good contrast to the less appealing neighborhood. However, privacy suffers a bit under the tight arrangement of tables.
The potato-leek soup could use a bit more content of the main ingredients, but is a good start, if you overcame the shock of $11 for not too much of it. The beef sirloin could also use a bit more flavor, but is nicely arranged with the spinach and the small duck fat potatoes.
The food preparation has a French touch to it. Nicely arranged ingredients, not quite enough for the hungry customer."

"We had a great dinner.Service and timing of courses was great. We had the three course Prix-Fixe dinner. The watercress and tuna dishes were outstanding. Ihad the strip loin with wilted spinach and duck fat potatoes which was good but not memorable (and underseasoned). My husband had the pork belly and grits which he was very happy with and for dessert I had the key lime panna cotta which was just, meh. My husband had the pain perdu which was HUGE and delicious. I was a little surprised by our bar tab. $12 was the least expensive glass of wine, not terrible. But the $10 bottle of beer, really?"

"I have visited Twelve on numerous occasions and each was as enjoyable as the previous. The staff and service are unmatched, the chef is truly gifted, the food and wine are always well beyond expectations, and the pricing -- though not inexpensive -- is more than reasonable for this level of dining. Twelve is as good as it gets, end of story."

"I took my wife here for Valentine's Day getting in last-minute. I had heard nothing about the place, but it had good ratings on open table so I gave it a shot. I'm not sure it was the most romantic spot I might have found, but I have nothing but good things to say about the food and the service. The dishes were creative with flavors that melded wonderfully. The pork was tender, juicy and just fell off the bone - no knife required. The fish with the chimichurri sauce was dynamite. Our server knew the menu inside and despite the fact that they change it 12 times per year and we were never left wanting. The desserts were worth the visit alone. We definitely found a spot we'll return to again."

"this was our second time visiting. Service was perfect. Because I don't eat red meat or pork, I'm always going to be eating a fish and ordered the striped bass. I recall ordering it also the first time I was there. It was beautifully plated, interesting flavor profiles combined...I was surprised only by the 'fishy' taste of that particular bass and was reminded that I felt that way the first time. It's something I now know to consider when ordering.
Salad (watercress with beet) was splendid and the brittle atop was very inventive and original. Would love to know what 'coated' the watercress, so flavorful and special."

"We had a fantastic dinner at Twelve a couple days ago. Service was thoughtful, but not overbearing. Wine list is impressive, with unique, rare selections. Staff does a great job suggesting pairings. "Twelve might be our new favorite restaurant. We can go back once a month to try each new menu. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. We might skip the oysters next time--just nothing special and a bit overwhelmed by the sauce. Also, the snapper was excellent, but be warned if you are hungry that it is a very small portion."

"We had a delightful experience. We eat a vegetarian diet and knew in advance that Twelve did not have an extensive offering of that type of food but we have dined there in the past and enjoyed our meals. As we were ordering our first course on this occasion our server noted our preferences and spoke to the chefs who produced for us an outstanding main course of vegetarian crepes that were sensational. We have recommended Twelve in the past and always found our recommendation to be well received and appreciated by our friends. We will continue to enjoy the dinners they proudly serve."
