"My friend, a foodie and wine dude, and I had a great lunch on Tuesday, 5/14/20013. We had grilled chicken and flank steak respectively. Really nice cuts of meat, done to perfection. Great sides of veggies and mashed potatoes. Delicious coffee.. Cost was quite reasonable; service and ambience very good.

"We headed to Joe Theismann's for dinner on Mother's Day. We had a reservation for four adults and a toddler, and were greeted warmly. The service was great, if not a bit rushed at times. Our toddler was pleased with his food selection, and was quite comfortable in his high chair. Our steaks were excellent and the other entrees were also quite good.
We'll go back!"

"This is a "composite" rating as this is a neighborhood place for us; we visit Joe's about 2-3 times/month. The service (hostess, bar and wait staff) are all superb...we're treated like family. The food is not your typical bar fare - it's a step up for sure. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Our fav's include: the Rockfish, the Ultimate fish sandwich and the penne pasta. The steaks are very good as well. The crabcakes are highly touted, but are good - not great. As crabecake snobs, we don't usualy get them at Joe's...
Make reservations...it's usually pretty busy."

"Overall it was a good experience. The waiter could have been a lot better but was more focused on getting this section of the restaurant closed down. I understand that it was getting late but we were still ordering drinks after dinner it was not like we were just sitting there taking up space without spending money. The waiter could have cleaned all the dishes off of the table and just continued to serve drinks. He could have had a pretty big night as far as tips go but only ended up with around $100.00. We will be back because the food was excellent and the environment was great but we will make sure that we plan our exit a little better next time."

"My friend and I went there last Thursday night that we had our RSVP 6:30 P.M. We saw bunch of overcrowd and long lined up. Lucky, we had our RSVP, perfectly! We ordered for two roasted salmon, side of salad dish, and glass of wines, delicious! Lot of noise by overcrowd. Services are good by hostess and waiter. We were expecting to relax but instead were rushed through our drinks, bread, salad and entrees in under an hour. Not very relaxing at all! "Our waitress, as busy as she was made sure we never had to ask for refills, she was always eyeballing the tables to make sure everyone was all set which was great & any extra help she got was also very friendly and helpful. Food on the other hand is so-so. I had the blackened seafood platter which consists of 2 scallops, 2 shrimp, & their fresh catch which was mahi mahi at the time. The fish was good, the rice it came on was good, I gagged on the shrimp because it was overly seasoned and the scallops were bland, undercooked, and you can tell they were frozen. Everyone else at my table said their food was OKAY. I won't eat here again."

"The extensive time we waited for lunch would not have been suitable if I were still working. The server was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good - I had one of the specials, jambalaya, and the chicken in it was overcooked and the whole dish didn't have much taste to it. My friends had a hamburger which she liked and the other friend had an Asian chicken salad which she has had before and liked. I also had the shrimp and lobster bisque which was alright but nothing I would order again."

"Joe Theismann's was a good selection for our small group of four since we were coming from different parts of the DC area. It is directly across the street from the King Street Metro Station, making it very convenient for Metro travelers
We had cocktails and the potato skins appetizer, before ordering dinner. The cocktails were tasty, but the potato skin where nothing special.
Dinner was Filet for two people, Mahi Mahi for one, and Scallops for the other diner. Everyone ate all of their food, but the filets were not the best. The Mahi Mahi and the Scallops were very good, cooked to perfection.
The service was extremely slow, and practically non existent at times."

"Theissmans was perfect for our large group- it had no wait, enough seating, and a great bar menu! Our server was very helpful and extremely quick. The food was pretty standard tasting, but it had big portions and great bang for our buck!"

"The special Valentine's Day offering was quite lovely -- the food done extremely well and the offerings covered dishes for all types (red meat, vegetarian, etc.). Service was quite attentive and cordial. All in all, a very pleasant meal. My only complaint was we were seated at a small table just inside the front door and when I asked to be moved to a booth on the opposite side of the aisle, I was told all tables were reserved for the entire evening. However, after having been seated for about 15 minutes, tables opened up in these booths and several were not filled for the rest of the evening. A small complaint but one I wasn't too happy about. It didn't affect the meal so I certainly can't make a big stink about."

I did ordered for roasted salmon and salad are VERY delicious!!!!!! I'm glad that I got the RSVP from them. If I don't get the RSVP from them, we will stand and wait for more than 30 minute, forget it! Take my advice, get your RSVP from them. So, you won't worry to stand long line up and wait more than 30 minute!
I had been attend there several times because I love ROASTED SALMON, FRENCH ONION SOUP, and RASPBERRY ICE CREAM HOMEMADE. They have new red velvet piece of cake, yummy! Very delicious!"

"There was a misunderstanding most likely on my part. I made a late night reservation for 11:30 p.m. and didn't realize there was a late night menu. So I was not able to order a dish from the normal bill of fare. But like I said it something that I missed. But your restaurant has been my favorite for many years."
