Panache
In July 2004, the Auberge Saint-Antoine opened a restaurant called Panache. This name reflects the elegance and distinction of an establishment that has rapidly gained an enviable reputation as one of the city's finest restaurants. In the first year, Panache won the city's Best New Restaurant award. Panache's dining room is located in the 19th century Hunt maritime warehouse, a building distinguished by its stone walls and massive wood beams. The menu is traditional French Canadian cuisine 'with a twist'.

We were surprise when we saw on our credit account we were factured two times the same night at these restaurant. The director explained us these practice is usual. I said to him that's was the first time for us and we were upset about this practice.

"My husband and I were in Quebec City for the weekend for our 5 year anniversary. We had dinner at Panache. The ambiance was lovely, the tables and seating very intimate and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. Our French is rusty and they were very patient and kind with us as we attempted to fumble through. The food was excellent and the courses were served with perfect timing. Sommelier provided an excellent wine recommendation based on my meal and they had a selection of 1/2 bottles as my husband doesn't drink. Only negative comment is the food serving size was very small and the prices were astronomically expensive. But worth it for a special occasion."

"We tried the Signature Menu with the classic wine selection.
Everything was exquisite : the food was delicious and surprising and the wine selection completed each course perfectly. My favourite course was the Boston Cod fish.
We were only two couples that night (low season, on a sunday night) and the service was very good, the waiter answering every question we had about the food or wines.
The restaurant has an exceptionnal decor, with the wood structure, stone walls, fireplace, etc. They had placed us right by the fireplace and it was great for a late March evening.
I will save my money in order to be able to come back! Going there off-season is a very good idea: you get the Vieux Québec all for yourself."

"We were in Quebec City to celebrate my 50th BDay, from Los Angeles. Our desire was to be away from our "normal world" and both the city...as well as our evening at La Panache was the perfect fit. Since it was a Tuesday in early March the restaurant was quiet and our waiter had a lot of time to spend with us...which was wonderful. Mathieu, our waiter, was ironically serving us on HIS BDay too, which was really unique.
I have already posted my recommendation of La Panache on my Facebook page, and I have over 1700 friends...from all over the world. What a treasure Quebec City is and what a wonderful evening we spent at La Panache."

"Outstanding. Evereting was perfect. My wife and I are returning at St-Antoine hotel on february 14 and 15 for two nights and we already have a reservation at Panache restaurant on friday the 15 at 6.30 pm. The best restaurant in Québec surpassing Le St-Amour in my opinion. By the way, our first language is french , we both live in Québec.
