"I have never been to Ruth Chris so I was excited to be there wih some clients. It was really loud but that was ok. What wasn't ok is that the server really talked up some wine then they were out of it so we couldn't order a bottle, then the next wine we wanted the same thing. My husband's bone in filet he ordered rare was done well so it was sent back but being a steak lover he ordered it again. He was disappointed with the lack of flavor. So I prefer El Gaucho or Morton's and will stick with them. Sorry, Ruth- I tried!"

"We visited Ruth Chris for my son's 31st birthday. It was a very good experience and the service was excellent. The only problem was that my son ordered his steak medium and it came out medium well. It was a bone in filet and he ordered it with the blue cheese crust so that may have added to the increase in temperature. All things considered it was a great night and everything else was perfect. FYI - We did not mention the overdone steak to our server for fear that it would take a long time to get another one from the kitchen."

there appeared to be a communication problem, a dry plate, no butter, was requested and the plate had butter, a salad was ordered without blue cheese and had to be sent back because it arrived with blue cheese, and a steak was ordered medium and arrived medium well. These are mistakes that should not be made. Someone should be paying closer attention, errors such as these spoil a dining experience. I hope that you will forward this to the management of Ruth's Chris."

"We've been coming to Ruth's Chris for many years now, and I must say it becomes less memorable every time we visit. The sides are extremely small for their hefty price, they've diminished in size over the years and the price has just gone up. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were definitely the high point of the meal. This place used to be such a standout and now falls to the much more moderate establishment - just sad. Almost everything is just over priced. I visit several restaurants in the same category as Ruth's across several large cities across the USA - their steaks are as good or better and their sides are cheaper and much larger in quantity. Two people, no desert $205 w/ 2 drinks each, 2 sides, 2 steaks,1 app & coffee"

"What a let down! We have always thought of Ruth's Chris as the ultimate steak house, but no longer. The staff were slow and very inattentive. The food service was labored w/ little attention to detail. The ravioli appetizer was cold upon arrival and tasted of rubber. When we inquired about the freshness of the dish, we were assured that it was made fresh that afternoon. Only to find out that it was not and tasted like it came from a package. The wedge salad was uninspired and stale. The bone in filet mignon was overcooked, but at least warm. Just an overall disaster and left 200 dollars lighter. Oh, by the way, they did not even attempt to compensate for the ravioli."

"One of the best steaks I have ever had. Definitely beats Morton's and El Goucho's
Watch out for the plates, they are quite hot. Just asku finger, it still smarts. When the wait staff says "The plates are hot" several times I should have listened better. The best service is when the waiter sees I have burned myself and without being asked and without making a scene, brings some burn cream just in case.
So, great food, great staff, attentive management, with a great location. Definatly on my short list of best food stops."

"At these prices you expect near perfection and Ruth's Chris did not disappoint! Our Valentine's Day dinner was quite special, with excellent, friendly service and food that was well prepared, attractively plated and delicious. "While the service was outstanding and the food was very good, I'm disappointed with the prices. Paying $50 for a steak and not have ANYTHING come with it is ridiculous. $10 for a much too large baked potato, $10 for a mediocre salad, $10 - 20 for anything else, is just too much to pay for what you get. Thank goodness they do have fixed price dinners, otherwise we would have gone broke. Even though we had a $100 gift certificate, we still paid $30 to cover the tip and parking. I would have rated the food higher had the filet come cooked as ordered - medium rare does NOT have a blue center. Sadly, I doubt we will be able to afford the exorbitant prices here. I'm sure they won't miss our patronage."

"Outstanding! Wonderful place to go for a special occasion. Service is excellent! Food is melt in your mouth delicious. Have valet parking, which can be added to your bill, a great choice instead of searching for parking. Will definitely go back next time we are looking for that special occasion dinner."
