"My family and I ate here for my graduation dinner, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience! They sat us (party of 5) at a spacious table inside, and noise wasn't a problem at all. The food was phenomenal, easily the best trout I've ever eaten. Everyone in my family really enjoyed their meals (which is no easy task) and the portions were a good size (big but not huge). Service was good, a little bit slow on the bread and water, but our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The chocolate cake is the best I've had in Boston, better than finale by far! This is a great place for a special occasion or date, but I'd recommend getting a table inside, the patio looked cramped and noisy."

"The restaurant itself is beautiful. It is a great place to sit and relax. Service overall was slow. The appetizers are good - we got the grilled shrimp and mozzarella and prosciutto appetizers. But I was sad that they served breadsticks before the meal instead of fresh bread. They do give you a free piece of focaccia, but it's not the same. The food is ok. My sister got a lobster ravioli, which was good, but I got a veal piccata that was not appetizing. The risotto it came with was gummy and bland, and the rice was overcooked. Another guest got the spaghetti. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but the meatballs and sauce were too salty. If you come here, stick with the pasta or pizza or appetizers."

"The staff was very friendly and attentive. They were patient with half our party being late and happily accomodated our toddler. The food was excellent. They have gluten free pasta which made my day and even the simple Pasta Pomodora dish I ordered was surprisingly tasty!"

"We were vacationing in Boston, and this restaurant was recomended by a staff member at our hotel. The neighborhood we walked through was delightful. The food was delicious. The staff and ambiance were marvelous. After a long day sightseeing in Boston, this was the perfect place. Our experience at Papa Razzi was truely delightful and delicious."

"We often go to the North End for great italian, now we have a new favorite in the Backbay. Good selection of wines, very good menu, and the services on a very busy Saturday night was outstanding. We'll be back for sure."

"My friend and I went to catch up and have dinner. We sat on the patio out front and had a great dinner and conversation. The food was amazing! I have lots of food allergies and there was an extensive gluten free menu and they were very accommodating. Our server was friendly and prompt. Great experience overall! I will defiantly be going back and recommending it to my friends."

"I had made a reservation for 7:00 for 3--two of us got there at 6:45, and asked that when our other guest arrived, she be ushered to our table. We were told "Of course--no problem!". When 7:30 arrived and she hadn't, one of us called her; she said that she had been at the bar, waiting, since 7:00--that they had no reservation information under either of our last names. When we checked on that, the hostess (someone different from who originally seated us) told us that once a party was seated, the reservation name was immediately eliminated from the computer screen. VERY POORLY HANDLED!!!!! We had someone waiting for a 1/2 hour because of the restaurant's ineptitude. We were very upset, for obvious reasons."

"Papa Razzi gets 5 stars for its service - Aside from being nice and polite and helpful, the staff was knowledgable about the menu and very friendly. I'm vegan and always have trouble finding something acceptable to eat and my server knew exactly what I could order and ever support staff member who came to bring salads or entrees made mention that it was vegan - something VERY important - it's a nice reassurance that my meal has been prepared to my dietary restrictions. I should mention that this all happened on one of the busiest dining days of the year - the night before Marathon Monday. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to others.Well done, Papa Razzi, well done."

"It's a very nice, cozy and trendy restaurant.
Pizza is pretty good but pasta and salads are American style not italian.
The panzanella salad is miles away from Italian recipe, seems a Cesar salad with focaccia! Absolutely not a panzanella!
Desserts? Panna cotta was a cream pudding, apple pie was great but not an Italian dessert.
Go there for a good pizza and enjoy the fancy ambience!"

"For Easter brunch my daughers and I had the french toast piled with fruit - delicious! My husband ordered salmon, he said it was OK, a little rubbery.

"We found Papa Razzi through Restaurant Week online sources. Many restaurants did not offer fixed price Lunch for Restaurant week, but according to Papa Razzi's website, they did. However, when we arrived for our 1:00pm reservation on Sun 3/24/13, we were told that only dinner or brunch was being served. We were very disappointed that their advertised Restaurant Week Lunch menu was not available."

"I went to Papa Razzi with my girlfriend on a saturday night, we were a little early so we had to wait for around 10 minutes, once we got our table, everything went really smoothly, we were served appetizers and water within minutes, and our waitress took our orders as soon as we were ready. The food was good and fairly cheap, and the wait was short."

"It was my birthday and we were all over 21 and the waitress asked for our passport in a rude way, also she barely knew how to comunicate with us , she was chinesse and his english wasnt good at all. We had other ids but we didnt know we need passport, so we didnt have it and we couldnt celebrate with wine. We had to go out to other restaurant in order to not having a bad time in paparazzi. If we stayed there, we were gonna have a bad day . She also wanted us to leave quickly. In my opinion, this is not a good restaurant to celebrate an special ocassion."

"Went early on a Saturday night and got a table where my wife was literally against a support beam holding up the roof. Not sure why we were put there when the restaurant was not even half full. Beyond that, we had a great meal and the service was great as well. We have been many times and will continue to frequent Papa Razzi."

"The food was great also the bread to start off was amazing. Always wanted to try Papa Razzi, should have tried early food was great and service was great too. Would defiantly return."
