"The Chef-owned Cellar Restaurant is our go-to spot for very special occasions. Every meal is carefully prepared using continental cooking techniques that feature delicious sauces and spices. Menu includes Lamb Osso Buco, Large bone veal chop, rack of lamb and numerous fish specials. Pastas can be ordered as a meal, or half portioned as an appetizer.
Impeccable service is the hallmark of this restaurant, along with its quiet ambience. Choose from the cellar dining room or the upstairs garden dining room. A huge wine list also awaits.
Be advised that all this luxury and delight comes with a price. Avereage check for a couple including tip will run around $200."

"Almost perfect - and I hate to say almost because it was outstanding. The reason for the almost is that one small enhancement would be appreciated. While the server provide ground pepper on request, this frequent dinner believes that a pepper mill and salt salt grinder at each table would be most appreciated. That would the guest to have ready access to these items as needed. The salt and pepper shakers current at the table are almost useless."

"If you look for a definition of attention to details there should be a picture of this restaurant and his staff next to it. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and the maitre'd took the time to explain to us what to expect from the menu. The server was so helpful and very attending. And the food ia to die for. Perfectly seasoned and cooked salmon and snapper is all we could've ask for. If in the area to celebrate a special occasion again will definitely go back again"

"We had reservations for 5pm. "The Cellar" has 2 dining venues: 1st floor light and airy, with window-walls; downstairs in "the Cellar": darker but great stained glass art lighted from behind on the walls. We were informed that there would be a dining party including children on the first floor and were given the choice to dine there regardless or go down "in the Cellar". We chose the romantic "Cellar". The food was delicious and artfully presented without being stilted; portions were adequate. We ordered an appetizer, dessert and coffee. Service was prompt yet still relaxed; we had let them know that we had tix to a concert @ 7pm at a venue close by. Wait staff appeared somewhat "over the top" with niceties and "special attention"."

"A fine menu and fine service to match. Each and every bite was divine. My only suggestion would be to have dimmer lighting and consider a more upscale looking decoration on the table. The cork filled container and fake flowers seemed borrowed from a much less classy establishment."

"This restaurant was listed #1 by Trip Advisor for dinner in Daytona and it lived up to its reputation. The restaurant is very small, so getting a reservation is difficult. They apparently stagger the guests so that every meal is prepared separately. We were offered a 5-course tasting menu along with an extensive wine list and regular menu. The food was excellent and we would recommend it to everyone."

"What a great find in the historic part of Daytona. My husband and I enjoyed everything. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a romantic evening. With less than 12 tables in the main room, the wait staff was able to provide just the right amount of attention. It also kept the noise to a minimum. The wine list is impressive but not over priced. In fact, the menu prices were surprisingly lower than we had expected.
I recommend this for anyone looking to celebrate a romantic evening out or just to enjoy the company."

"I've always considered that the main thing any restaurant should offer is good food and good service. The Cellar is pricey but the food is excellent! When that's the case I leave feeling that it was worth it regardless of the cost. My wife and I had the veal and our friend had the lamb. I must confess that when I eat "Italian" I almost always have veal and I rate The Cellar's veal preparation #3 on a very long list of Italian dining establishments I have experienced. Our friend shared the lamb, which she really enjoyed, and it too was excellent. The only critical comment was the noise level. The Cellar is of course in the basement area and with a full house the voices just got higher and higher. The sorbet is very good! We will return!"
