"Extremely fresh and delicious food-flash baked pizzas with fresh and hot toppings. Seriously a local gem for pizza. Great desserts too! Deep fried Italian Doughnuts served with your choice of raspberry sauce or, my favorite, nutella. There is a perfect combination of warm, soft crust and gooey cheese and sauce. Layered flavors make it foodie-friendly. Check it out. Cool bar and patio too!"

"Verasano's pizza crust is unduplicated anywhere in the ATL! The ovens from Italy bake up a beautiful thin crust that is chewy and tender. They have mostly specialty pizzas and we always get Chica Bella and the Sweet Onion pizzas. Ask your wait person to explain the types of cured meats that are variations on pepperoni which are great (I can't spell them here!)"

"The food was delish and the service was great too. We ordered the Nana's pizza with the recommended addition of the sopressata. It was really amazing...very authentic. We also ordered the caprese salad and meatballs for appetizers. Those were very yummy as well. To top off the wonderful meal, we endulged and ordered the fried doughnuts for dessert. Those were absolutely to die for!!! Highly recommend this place if you're wanting a middle-of-the-road place for Italian food with a nice glass of wine, without having to deal with the formality of white tablecloths and carpeted floors."

"My husband and I split a large spinach salad and a bufala & coppa pizza. It was the perfect amount of food to split between 2 people. The salad was fine - just your standard salad - but the pizza was FANTASTIC. They only have 1 size pizza and it is a super super thin crust that you have to pretty much have to fold it in half to be able to pick it up. But it was very flavorful and had the perfect topping to crust ratio. I was in a group of 6 and we made reservations since it was a Friday night but it wasn't as packed as I thought it would be. We were seated right away and the food came out very quickly. It's a little far for me to come here on a regular basis but I would definitely stop by again if I was in the area."

"We came with a group of 7 to Varasano's after graduation from Georgia Tech. We arrived at 10:05 pm – toward the end of the evening – & everyone was friendly, upbeat & happy to see us. The food was excellent & the wait staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience."

"I really liked the food once we were able to order. It took us 25 minutes to get greeted once we were seated at a table. Once we got a server she was clearly not into being at work. She just didn't care if we enjoyed our experience or not. As for food we tried two starters the meatballs and the caprese salad. The meatballs were good, but the menu stated they came with bread. When we got our order it was two meatballs a ton of sauce and one tiny slice of french bread. We couldn't eat the sauce without spoons which we asked our waitress for, but they never came. The pizza was very good, but go to Double Zero in Sandy Springs - the pizza is similar and the service is better."

"We were so disappointed this time. We have been enjoying Varasano's since it opened but this time, it was a disaster. We were a party of 6. The pizza was so soggy that it was impossible to pick up until you were about 2" from the crust. Fork and knife was a necessity. They used to have crispy and charred pizza but this was just gooshy and soggy. The salads looked pre made and small.
The service was atrocious. Our server brought our 4 salads that we were all sharing and neglected to bring any silverware, napkins or plates. We asked several times and finally someone else brought what we needed to begin eating. When the pizzas came (we ordered 4) again, we did not have any plates and had to wait.
Never again!"

"Amazing pizza for the south, better than a few of the top places I ate at it NYC itself. The server was great and very friendly. The place is a little edgy which I like and expect in a city location. And the location is great, right in the heart of of the city surrounded by many Atlanta attractions. Overall my experience was perfect, and will go there again."

"As we heard good buzz about Varasano's, we looked forward to dining there. The beer selection was limited, when asked, the waitress stated the menus needed upgrading and only 1 of 6 beers listed were on tap, others unavailable. The service was below average. Despite a limited menu, the waitress was fairly uninformed and left our table several times to clarify our order with the kitchen and bar staff. We were not informed that 3 small-medium sized thin-crusted pizzas were likely inadequate for 6 hungry adults. To their credit, the sauce was tasty. The caramelized onion pizza was passible. We ordered a mushroom and olive pizza of which both ingredients were ground to a tapenade consistency and indistinguishable from one another."

"My wife and my son ordered pizza. I shared some with them. It was awesome! I would definitely come back for the pizza. I ordered Chicken Piccata. I thought it was strange when it came all I got was the Chicken Piccata, not one side dish, no salad, no pasta...no nothing.
I had a work colleague that suggested the restaurant to me and wanted me to try that dish. He had just had it earlier in the week and he told me (Later on, after I told him of my experience) my meal should of come with the two options. The server told us it was just her second day. Other than that the service was good. Would go back for the pizza."

"This was about our sixth time dining at Varasano's, and unfortunately the dining experience did not live up past experience. On the positive side, the pizzas were exceptional as always. Varasono's undoubtedly has the best authentic thin style pizza in Atlanta. On the negative side was beer selection and table location. It took four beer selections off of the menu to find one that they finally had in stock (Fat Tire, Dos Equis, Heinekin ... then I finally asked what exactly due you have and ended up with a Henry Weinhard IPA that was not on the menu). When it was served, it was without a glass, and I had to wait another 10 minutes to finally get a glass. The table location was right inside the door way and made for a cold, drafty table"

If you go for brunch - it is great but this last visit they had no one watching the shop. *Jeff, the owner is gone

So if you go with your family, be ready for a little of the Clubstaurant when the Jeff is away.... (Jeff, check in on a Sat, it is a party I don't think you know is going on!)
By the way, one of my favorite pizza's is the caramelized onions with sausage (hopefully they will keep is ground up sausages because sometimes it is larger pieces and not as good) but the flavors are amazing!"

"House salad is phenomenal. Caesar salad is very bland...needs more anchovies and lemon. Their meats on Pizza are very salty so I recommend getting their vegetarian ones. Also, note that most of their Pizzas are white. Otherwise a great place."

"I love this place.
BEST PIZZA Period.

Only improvements have nothing to do with pizza as it is EXCELLENT but the Ceasar salad needs work. It is generally never served COLD and Crisp....almost every time, it is warm to hot (plates maybe) but also wilted.

"The waitress convinced me and my son that we should each order our own pizza, but when the pizzas came to our table they were huge and there was no way that we could possibly finish them. I was quite put off by that because the pizzas were $16 each! My 13 year old son ordered a cheese pizza that had so little cheese on it........it was just tomato sauce and crust! I ordered a caramelized onion pizza that had blobs of overly sweet caramelized onions that tasted like they came straight out of a jar. It killed the taste of the pizza. The only highlight was the delicious crust......it was thin, crispy, and delicious."

"I went for the first time Friday night with my whole family, including my month-old niece and best friend from high school. We made a reservation (obviously) for 8 people at 8:00 and were seated immediately when we walked in the door. The waitress was quick to get our order and bring drinks, and she didn't seem to mind our rowdy bunch at all. I thought the pizzas were delicious, and it was great getting to try a few different kinds. The wines were very reasonably priced (and delicious)."
