"Piccolo Arancio is our Graduates favorite restaurant, so we went there for a celebratory dinner. She was VERY HAPPY with the entire celebration! She had one of the Restaurant's Signature Dishes (the ravioli with orange sauce - simply scrumpcious) and she loved every bite! The dessert was very special for her too as Piccolo's has a fabulous pastry chef! Whatever you do, don't skip dessert! The entire party of nine people were delighted with their meals, the service and the friendliness of all at the restaurant! Try it for your next celebration!!"

"We went to Piccolo Arancio to celebrate our anniversary and it was wonderful. The food and the wine are the winners in this restaurant. Antipasti di carne was straight from the heart of Italy, serving the two of us perfectly. You might want to check out the wine list before your reservation because it is extensive and requires some time to peruse. Our wine was a beautiful pairing with both the veal and pork osso bucco. Presentation on the plate was carefully considered and looked inviting. The meat dropped off the bone! A shared cannoli and grappa completed the meal. A suggestion - change the loud Dixie music to something softer and more in keeping with the ambience of the place. Add some candles on the table, too. We will return!"

"The food has been consistent for years and so has the waitstaff. The menu offers a great variety of pasta, seafood and meat selections as well as a variety of salads and always great specials. The service is always spot on and the wine list is extensive. The town of Farmington has only three or four white table cloth restaurants and this one by far is the best for food, ambiance and service. They are always busy but we have never had a lengthy wait for a table. Definitely make a reservation for Friday or Saturday nights."

"This restaurant has it all! Fabulous Food, Wonderful Wines, Special Service with Smiles all around! BUT, as the saying goes "If the food isn't fabulous, why bother?" "Four of us went to Piccolo Arancio for a Friday Night supper! It was super. One of us had the "rack of lamb" which was simply delicious! One of us had the Risotto which has a wonderful taste and aroma and contents - yum! One of us had the Salmon Entree and the other had "Simply Grilled Salmon" - both were excellent. We have NEVER had a bad dish or a bad experience at Piccolo Arancio. The four of us recommend this restaurant highly. You will find wonderful food, great staff and service, very good wines and drinks to choose from! You can't go wrong! If you have never tried this restaurant, do!!"

"We celebrated my sister's birthday and she LOVED Piccolo Arancio! This was the BEST GIFT she recieved for her birthday. Try Piccolo Arancio for your next "birthday celebration" with your loved ones, you will be very glad you did. The food was delicious. My sister had the "yellow fin tuna" and she thought it was exceptional. Her husband had the lamb and he said it was "the best" he has ever eaten. I had the simply grilled salmon and it was tremendous. My husband had a cod entree (a special dish for the eveningP and loved it! The service was excellent as well and the mood festive! So, we were all very happy diners... as always at Piccolo Arancio"

"Piccolo Arancio is a First Rate Restaurant. The service and food and welcoming atmosphere can not be beat! I ALWAYS get Fish at Piccolo Arancio and I am always very pleased with the freshness, preparation and flavor of the fish. I often order the fish "simply grilled" and it is "simply delicious"! I recommend that preparation highly. My husband often gets risotto and thinks that Piccolo Arancio has the BEST Risotto around! He recommends that dish highly. We believe that you can not find a better restaurant in the greater Hartford area. Give it a try if you haven't yet. We are sure that you too will be delighted with dinner!"

"It's a great place for being close to the house. They'd benefit from a makeover since the decor is so dated. The food is yummy and our waiter, Russ was very nice and accommodating. There owned by peppercorns I think and that place is pretty inside."

"We love Piccolo, however lunch today was not one of their best efforts. Swordfish was way overdone and the pesto that accmopanied was overpowering even though I had it on the side. Just a little glitch for an otherwise wonderful restaurant.

"I started Yoga Teacher Training today and my husband took me to dinner at Piccolo Arancio for a Treat! We had a marvelous meal, great service, wonderful wine and much fun. We celebrate at Piccolo Arancio frequently! It is a celebratory kind of place. Even if it is not a "special occassion", Piccolo Arancio makes it special. My husband had Rissoto (which is always delicious) and I had the Simply Grilled Salmon. We highly recommend both dishes! AND the homemade desserts are divine! So for a treat or just to have a great meal to eat, find your way to Piccolo Arancio - you will not be disappointed but you will be delighted!"

"Between the 4 of us, we had 2 different pasta dishes, a risotto, and a griller mahi-mahi entree - everyone raved about their choice and thought they had the PERFECT meal. Piccolo Arancio has a diverse menu and there is something just right for everyone. The staff makes everyone feel at home, whoever they are and whether it is their first time or fortieth time at their restaurant. The ambience is classic and classy Italian - like Italy!! We recommend this restaurant highly for 2 to 20 people! We recently had a private party here for 12 people and the food and service were outstanding. People loved everything they ordered from appetizer to a yummy dessert (which was an Anniversary Cake made by Sal (chef-owner))."

"This restaurant delivers personal service with great smiles, the wait staff is phenomenal! The food is consistently high quality, tasty and presented very well. The pasta's are particularly interesting. We love the Lobster Ravioli and the Ravioli with Orange Sauce. The latter should be tried by everyone - either shared as an appetizer for the table so the the experience is enjoyed by everyone or as an entree to be savored by one! The "Simply Grilled" items are "Simply Delicious" and my personal favorite. Whether you are in the mood for pasta, fish, beef, veal, chicken or lamb - this restaurant is for you! "It has been a little while since we have been a PA. It hasn't changed and that is a good thing. The food was great. I have the Osso Bucco and my wife had the short ribs. Both were excellent and seasonally appropriate. For starters we had the artichoke hearts which were fabulous and my regular salad with field greens and goat cheese topped with a wonderful vanilla vinaigrette.
I wish it were a tad closer to home. I am never thrilled about the drive home after a couple glasses of wine, but it is worth the trip."
