"Looked like the old days as we had to wait for a table even with a reservation. But we were there on graduation week and there were many large parties. We were seated in the wine room, which is not our favorite but no telling how much longer it would have been for a table in the main dining room. Steak Diavola was excellent as usual (pepper sirloin). Wife had scampi and lobster tail and loved it as well. Tony's salad is still the best. Had the chocolate ice cream pie for dessert. Huge meringue on top of ice cream with "gold brick' chocolate on top. Service impeccable and very friendly. This is simply the best restaurant in St. Louis."

"We booked at the last minute after a baseball game. Loved every bit of the experience except one part. We were greeted and told I needed a jacket. The opentable app shows business casual, and this is how we dressed. Please be aware."

"My family lived in STL for many years, and ate at Tony's many times. We no longer live there, but we recently decided to celebrate our anniversary at Tony's, and my only regret was that we had let so many years go by between visits. The food and the service were both superb, as I remembered."

"The food at Tony's was amazing, and the service was top-notch! I would definitely recommend it! The risotto was one of the best I've ever had, and the spinach and avocado salad was fabulous. We had a brown butter and almond tart for dessert that I could eat every day forever! The owner himself went table to table to ensure everything was as it should be! If you're looking for a culinary treat, this is it!!"

"Tony's restaurant lived up to it's reputation for fine dining for us. The Chef's tasting menu was simply excellent & beautifully complimented by the accompanying wines. Each course was perfectly sized & we have to admit all standout - did particularly love the Penne Lobster & Shrimp. One note was that we were not asked how we'd like the Tenderloin of Beef to be cooked (normally we say as chef sees fit anyway & be more towards rare which is fine for us), however it came more medium & was not as tasty as we'd expected - this was offset though with excellent Foie Gras & glaze. Service by Nick was perfect - a server actually spilt wine & they replaced the whole tablecloth (over the top perhaps but highlights their desire for perfection). Great."

"Made reservation and still had to wait. Food was not what I expected for a high end Italian restaurant. Food was OK but had way better at les expensive restaurants. The restaurant made me wear a sports coat to be able to enter the restaurant which did not settle with me too well because as I see it my money should be just as good with or without a sports jacket on."

"We have been dining at Tony's more frequently than in the past and it has become hard to come up with the superlatives to describe the experiences. Excellent and perfect are only a start. St. Louis' best restaurant is not an exaggeration. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, it is St. Louis' finest place to dine. The steak tartare, dover sole, Tony's salad, all excellent. My wife tried their grouper for the first time and loved it, although it was so rich, she had to take some home. I was ready to skip dessert, but we ended up with a tart and salted caramel ice cream. We will be back again and again."

"I have meant to go to Tony's for years, but never had the chance, living 2+ hrs. from St. Louis. My wife and I finally set up a special day for show and dinner, and we had a wonderful time. I would have to say that Tony's rivals any restaurant in Las Vegas or Chicago. The service was prompt. Our staff excellent. The food was very well prepared and presentation was excellent. I had heard that it was expensive, think $50/person, but I would eat PB&J for a month to go back. My wife said, "I have a new favorite restaurant in St. Louis.""

"EXcellent food. Kudos to the chef and the staff de cuisine! However, the service was slow and inattentive. I had to ask a busboy for the check, a busboy to take my payment! Our "head waiter" was busy pouring water and doing other menial tasks, better suited for the third tier staff."

"Wife's filet was overcooked and smothered in a brown gravy. Sirloin was flavorful, yet tough to saw through. Service was great, atmosphere was good, desert, salad and sides were fantastic, it was just the main course that was disappointing. I expected a better steak for the price, thats all."

"We were celabrating a very special occassion and Tony's was wonderful and well worth the price. The food was SUPERB!. My husband and I shared the Chef's Tasting Menu and our kids ordered off the menu. Everything was fabulous. The service was beyond compare. Oh my, it was so nice. Funny to think that one of the best resturants/dining experience I've ever had was right in my own back yard!"

"The entire staff was extremely polite and addressed me by name and pulled out our chairs. The food took awhile to come but was prepared right in front of us. The entire atmosphere was amazing. I will return when i turn 21."
