Trio, one of Cincinnati's favorite restaurants for over 20 years, is known for serving fresh seafood daily, along with great steaks, extraordinary pasta dishes, generous portions of specially salads, California style pizzas, & a wide range of sandwiches. Trio has become the hot spot of Cincinnati for its extensive wine list. Trio currently serves over 30 different wines by the glass, offering the best California wines by the glass or bottle. During the spring, summer & fall Trio diners may prefer to dine in the Veranda. Trio can accommodate private parties from 24 to 65 guests in one of the private dining rooms. Over the years Trio has received Cincinnati Magazine’s "Best Wine List", "Best Casual Service", "Best Entree", "Best Redesigned Restaurant in Cincinnati". Additionally, TRIO is Zagat rated "Best Casual Service" & "Excellent".

"Trio was absolutely delicious. I had the Pasta Privamera, and it was outstanding. My boyfriend had the Traditional Pizza, and he loved it. We had a reservation and were sat immediately when we walked in. Staff was friendly and efficient.

"We had heard a great deal about Trio and enjoyed the chance to try it out, even though it is on the other side of town for us. The seafood was superb--don't miss the Sea Bass, Grouper Hemingway or the Lobster Bisque! The wait staff was extremely professional and personable. The food, wine and service were great!"

"I met a female i had never met before at the restaurant. I wanted to impress her so I made reservations at Trio's. she had never been there before even though she lived within 4 miles of the restaurant. The atmosphere was romantic as there was other couples sitting all around us. I could tell she really enjoyed everything as the food and service was second to none. After dinner, I walked her to her car, she gave me a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. Yep.... She loved our dining experience and I will be seeing her again."

"We had an excellent server. She brought side dishes before our meals, as we requested. She overheard us saying the white bean soup tasted a bit "off", & offered to replace it with chicken noodle soup. The chicken noodle soup was fine. We all ordered salads - salmon, steak & nicoise - and all were delicious. We were seated in an open area of the restaurant, with the windows open.
It was a nice, quiet atmosphere, with a lot of light streaming in......kind of like eating al fresco, but still indoors. We had a pleasant experience & will definitely eat there again."

"I have always patronized Trio multiple times when in Cincinnati over the years, but this time was the last. At my last visit in October 2012, it had descended to a duet, but now it's just a solo, and a slightly flat one at that. Not only are the prices outrageous for what actually makes it to the table, but the quality has also slipped dramatically in both service and ingredients. Don't be fooled by the two men standing by your table trying to act upscale. This is NOT an upscale dining experience. The atmosphere doesn't warrant the "white linens and candlelight" prices. I am sad to say that I can clearly see that the Emperor is wearing no clothes."

"We met friends whom we had not seen for many months for Sunday brunch at Trio. The brunch was very tasty; the made to order omelet was delicious. Easy-listening classical music meant that we could actually carry on a conversation without being assaulted by loud, big beat music & the loud voices that usually go with it; there are no distracting televisions. The mood was nice without being stuffy. We were somewhat apologetic for lingering so long over conversation. Our server encouraged us to stay as long as we wanted to; he kept returning with coffee and water; and he said, "We consider it an honor that you would choose Trio as a place to spend time with friends." What class!! Good food, good friends, great experience."

"My wife and I had heard very good things about Trio, so we were looking forward to our evening. We were seated near a large group, which included kids and very loud adults, so the ambiance / experience did not get off on the right foot. The prices were near what you would pay at other nice restaurants (e.g., Carlo & Johnny's, Stone Creek in Montgomery, Eddie Merlot's, Jag's, Celestial, etc.) in Cincinnati, but the food quality was not comparable to what we have come to enjoy at these other restaurants. We would not choose Trio again."

"Not a bad evening but....the dinners were disappointing. I had Grouper Hemingway more than half the plate was filled with white rice. 3 stalks of asparagus and a smallish piece of fish. I expected more...white rice for Pete's sake. Maybe wild rice or quinoa it is 2013. We lucked into 1/2 price wine night which eased our pain! If we go back, we'll steer clear of entrees and try the flatbreads and small bites-they seem to be more inspired."

"We knew the menu was excellent from looking on the website but the food lived up to our expectations. My fiancee had the braised short ribs which were unbelievably good while I had the calamari appetizer and a Moroccan Pizza. The Moroccan Pizza was one of the best gourmet pizzas I have ever had. For dessert, we shared the flourless chocolate cake which was topped with chocolate mousse and a raspberry ganache that was so rich we both agreed it was almost as good as sex. The service was very good for a crowded restaurant on a Saturday night and with dinner, drinks and tip we got out of there for around 80 dollars. Highly recommended!!!"

"I love this restaurant and I eat here all of the time. This past Friday everything was perfect but I ordered the smoked salmon pizza and to be honest it was an arugula pizza! There was a very small amount of smoked salmon and a huge amount of arugula which I wanted just the opposite! I was sort of taken aback but I was with my friend on her birthday and I didn't want to ruin the moment by complaining about the food! Any other time I probably would have said something since I am there a lot and always have a very nice meal."

"Been here many times. The food is good but what I don't like about Trio's is the entre prices are expensive so I expect a relaxed atmosphere with time to sit back and enjoy the food but instead and they rush you. Our food came within five mintues of ordering. I typically have time for 2 glasses of wine with dinner but only needed one. We had the sea bass which is always good and the short ribs which were fair at best. We had a Groupon which is why we went, but probably won't go again, at those prices there are so many better options in Cincinnati."

"I have been going to Trios since it opened and I think last Friday was one of my best experiences there. From the fine server to the three visits from the owner to the excellent food and succulent banana cream pie dessert, it was a 10 out of 10. Love it, can't wait for my next visit. The key to it all, make a reservation!"

"Typically, Trio has been one of the best restaurants around. However, this time the food was average at best and highly overpriced. My dish, the Mahi-Mahi was so overcooked that it was actually burnt. Their prices have definitely increased, while the number of diners decreased. While there was a steady stream of customers, for a Friday night, there were far less patrons than in the past. Not sure if we will go back."

"We love TRIO. The food is consistently good. However, if you sit in the back room (area closest to Kenwood Rd), there are usually tables with eight or more people set up in that area. We were next to a table of eight who were practically shouting at one another, laughing very loudly, talking a mile a minute. I felt very bad for the young couple having dinner next to them as well, because there was no way to talk. This is not the fault of the restaurant, but after several bad experiences in this back area we will not dine here unless we can sit somewhere else. We loved the food, but the experience of sitting next to such a large, loud group spoiled our evening."

"We went on a Friday for half-price wine night and it was outstanding! After getting a table that was near the kitchen, they moved us to a quieter place. The service overall was fantastic, and the food was great as well. I especially enjoyed the steak salad.
Overall it is a little pricey so I wouldn't go there often, but it's nice for the occasional special dinner."
