Dressler's has a close knit group of managers who have worked together many years. Chef Scott Hollingsworth, General Manager Tim Buchanan, Manager Erik Draheim and Bar Manager Brian Lorusso have worked with owner Jon Dressler for 40 years combined. "This is our favorite new restaurant!! I t was a find and we are trying to go at least once a month. The service is always wonderful, the food is just the best I have had in a long time. I don't want to write anything too good because then it will get to crowded!"

"We started with some terrific wine and tried the baked goat cheese appetizer which was scrumptious. Salads are quite the highlight and the spinach salad was lightly dressed but so fresh and flavorful. The main course was filet mignon--irresistable cuts of melt-in-your mouth steak. I am a purist about meat and would have preferred it without the demi glace, but it was great nevertheless. Dessert was an amazing wedge of dark, moist carrot cake. AND service was impeccable."

"People have been raving about Dressler's for a while, so I was expecting a lot. Unfortunately, my food was overcooked and not very special, the butter sauce was watery, and there just wasn't much special about it. My friend was also underwhelmed by his food. The ambiance was wonderful."

"Dresslers has quickly become my favorite restaurant in the QC! The ambiance, food and service is always top notch. You can beat the great view of Uptown Charlotte either. My can't miss items to order are the calamari sticks for an appetizer and the halibut for an entree. Both are so delicious! This place is great for a romantic dinner/celebration or couples date night."

"I've dined at Dressler's serveral times, and the food is amazing. The ambience is wonderful so I decided to host my 30th Birthday dinner for family & friends. Unfortunately the service was poor for the first time and I was floored as my out of town relatives did not receive the customer service as expected."

"My girlfriend and I recently dined at Dressler's at the Metropolitan and had a wonderful experience. The service was wonderful and our waitress was extremely accommodating. The food was top knotch, we even got a free dessert for my girlfriend's birthday. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice fine dining experience!"

"My husband and I went on a Friday evening at 7:30. The hostess informed us there was a wait to sit outside, but since there were plenty of inside tables available we opted to stay indoors.
Pros - beautiful skyline views and auto shades to minimize harsh sunlight; outdoor music; outstanding dishes like the french onion soup, wedge salad, and filet mignon with mashed potatoes.
Cons- A server greeted us and got our drink order but said he was only assisting someone else. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and for the "official" server to come to our table. Once our order was placed, everything went smoothly but dinner took almost two hours. I understand long leisurely dining, but every time we've eaten here it has been 2+ hrs."

"We have a new employee at our salon and decided to take her to Dressler's for dinner. Great decision. We sat on the patio where they had live music but too loud to interrupt our antics. We are very funny and ended up with Chris as our waiter who had the perfect sense of humor to match ours. He was professional and met all of our needs so much so that we let the manager know. The food is always consistently delicious here!"

"My wife and I celebrated our 24th anniversary at this fine establishment. I requested a quiet romantic table and the manager delivered. The manager personally welcomed us to our table and promptly provided us with complimentary flutes of champagne. The service was outstanding. My wife enjoyed the Ceasar Salad and the Soft-shelled crab special. Both of which were excellent. I paired the Spicy Thai Calamari Strips with the Lamb Chops. The Calamari was a bit unusual as I've not eaten Calamari prepared in this manner. The flavor was outstanding. Everything was delicious. We really enjoyed our visit and expect to return to try some of the other wonderful selections."

"I can't rave enough about the wonderful experience we had at Dressler's! The service was unparalleled; perfectly attentive, but never with the awkward hovering. Our waiter made some very good recommendations, as this was our first time dining there, and we couldn't have been happier with the meal. I highly encourage anyone who likes carrot cake to try it at Dressler's; it's delicious! We had a table right next to the giant windows, so we had a lovely view of the Charlotte skyline. The one thing I will say is that it was not a quiet spot. There was a band playing outside, and while they were very good, it was a bit loud, but it wasn't too bad. Overall, excellent restaurant and stellar service!"

"This was the third time that we've eaten at Dressler's. On this visit our steaks were over cooked. We ordered medium rare- hot red center and got medium to well done steaks. The service here is usually very good but, was a bit spotty that evening. The restaurant was also very noisy, which made it hard to have a conversation at our table of four without shouting across the table. We enjoyed our prior two visits much more.
I would recommend that large parties be moved to a designated area so that other diners could enjoy their meals better. We will be back because of the experiences we had on our prior two visits"

"The over ambience of the restaurant and customer service was great! The food was my concern because the steak I ordered was ordered was burnt on top but was told this is normal. On the other hand, my husband ordered the scallops and it was perfect! Tender with the right seasoning. The desserts were average, the chocolate cake and cheesecake."

"We visited Dressler's for Mother's Day lunch. I (from Baltimore) ordered the Maryland crab cakes, and my wife ordered a pork chop with balsamic bacon demi glace, my daughter ordered tilapia, and her husband had seafood and grits. Everyone thought their meal was excellent. My crab cakes were almost all crab meat. The only negative was that if there was Old Bay seasoning in them (which there should be in Maryland Crab Cakes) I couldn't detect it. I normally avoid pork chops, expecting them to be dry and tasteless. My wife's was huge, juicy and delicious.Everyone who tasted it thought that it was the best pork chop they had ever tasted. Great experience. Feel like I'm trying to write a review on Twitter (22 characters left), so quitting now."

"As I do not live, but work, in the neighborhood, my recommendations are limited to afternoons. I assume evenings are at least as enjoyable, if not more so, as the bar set up is very welcoming.
My employer has had several office functions at Dressler's which have always been a delight.
I have lunch dates there quite often and cannot speak highly enough of the restaurant. Very cheerful and friendly greetings, wait service very knowledgeable, courteous, available and prompt....food...EXCELLENT. Also, very accommodating to time restraints. Just let them know...

"One of the top in Charlotte, whether for a special occasion or just a great dining experience. We sat outside this time; it was a nice, cool evening; and listened to the jazz trio. The patio was completely full but even with the music and the full patio it was not loud.
Our server was conscientious, efficient, knowledgeable and personable. We've never had a bad experience at Dressler's and always recommend it to friends and out of towners."

"The resturant is always clean and inviting. The staff from the front door to the wait staff is always friendly and more than willing to accomodate your needs. Very diverse wine list and the martinis have great flavor. Food is outstanding; I've never had anything that wasn't above my expectations. You have to end your meal with Mama's carrot cake. It is the best thing they serve."

"We were given the best private booth in the house after requesting a quiet area to celebrate my wife's birthday through Open Table, and the hostess said "Happy Birthday" to my wife when we arrived. The staff was friendly and seemed to be plentiful. The Wedgie salad is awesome. My wife's crab cakes were perfect although my sirloin strip seemed to have more gristle than I expected and was more overcooked than medium rare. The pace was relaxed which we liked. The restaurant is in a cool area of Charlotte with lots of energy. We'll definitely go back and try the other entrees. Overall, the restaurant tries very hard to satisfy the customer and we liked their attitude."

"We are semi-regulars at Dressler's and we love the restaurant. During the last two visits my wife has received lamb that was less than hot. Not sure why this has happened but it shouldn't. They got almost everything about this restaurant right. Getting the food served hot should not be that difficult."

"I had been to the Dressler's location at Birkdale but this was my first visit to the Charlotte location. Easy, free parking across the street. A great view of the city and located right next to the greenway. I had high expectations of the food and service, based on prior visits to Birkdale and from the Dressler reputation. It did not disappoint. Their crabcakes are the best I've ever had. So much lump crabmeat and the barest amount of crumbs to hold it together. Divine. My friend had the mahi special over corn risotto and that got raves as well. Service was attentive and prompt. Can't ask for a much better experience!"
