"We celebrated our first date 32 years ago. Everything was excellent. we had fantastic time and our waitress was sweet, friendly and very helpful. Excellent gluten free menu. Will definitely come back.

"As always the staff and chef are there to please. Very accommodating to any dietary needs. In addition its a lovely hidden treasure next to Hill Auditorium so dinner and drinks before or after events without having to find another parking spot. LOVE LOVE"

"WE probably set a record for how long a party of four has dined in the restaurant, over 3 hours, but the food service and ambiance were so comfortable we completely lost track of time. The appetizers, soup, and entrees were well prepared and seasoned."

"Mercy's showed again why it's our go-to location for pre-show dining. The location (across the street from Hill Auditorium) and amenities (complementary valet parking) can't be beat, but the food excels and is worthy of a visit in its own right. The staff was hopping to keep up with the concert crowd, but we enjoyed a pleasant meal without feeling rushed or forgotten. The lighter fare entrees were a great feature, as it enabled us to enjoy an appetizer, salad, and entree without feeling we'd eaten too much. The poached pear we shared for dessert was to die for."

"I am a big fan of Mercy's food but on this occassion there was a complete breakdown in service from both the wait staff and kitchen/ table service was slow/ waiter seemed overwhelmed and from time order placed to bread basket brought to thetable 25 minutes with another 25 more minutes before food main course served/ it really shouldn't take 50 minues toi get food to the table/ however once served the food was excellent as usual"

"OK, but not worth a special effort despite the spectacular setting in which it is located. Too bad, as the basic menu looks interesting, but alas the final product is somewhat bland and unimaginative. The steak that my companion ordered was tough and bland. The tofu dish that I had was ok at best. The tofu was a warmed up verson of what I'd get from a typical supermarket. The vegetable base was good and properly spiced, but with the unseasoned and undersauteed tofu it fell flat. The lentil soup was bland. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. The service is good. The problem is the food, and therein lies the problem. Perhaps with a new chef and overhauled menu the restaurant would see a better review."

"Our energetic head waiter led my visiting out-of-town work colleagues and me through a great evening; he was extremely knowledgeable about the food and spirits and offered first-rate service. The back room was cozy and we appreciated having a private and quiet place to talk. Everyone enjoyed both the appetizer--shrimp tempura without a lot of batter so that you could focus on the shrimp--and the main courses. My salmon was grilled skin side down to a crisp and was delicious, with a delightful sauce and flavorful rice; the ginger raw vegetable slaw was a revelation. A splendid first visit for me; how did I miss this before?"

"Our experiences at Merci's are deteriorating, on Saturday evening was it just so-so, which is too bad. We requested a booth, my elderly friend is not comfortable at a table, but were stuck at one of the uncomfortable little tables in the middle of the room. The noise level was almost deafening there, the service slow - yes, it was a very busy evening, but 1hr 15 minutes for entrees to arrive?? We allowed an hour and 45 min from arrival to concert, and were pressed to make it!! We dine there before the concerts always, but if it wasn't for the convenience of location I doubt we would."
