"We loved evrything about this restaurant! The food was interesting and fabulous. The service was great, the waiters were wonderful. We were there on a Friday night and the singer was very very nice. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in delicious and maybe a little out of the ordinary food."

"We eat at Hibiscus a few times a year. The food is great, the maitre D is great. We have found the service to be little relaxed, but not a big issue. This Mother's Day experience stood out in a negative way. Service was slow a distracted, probably due to the larger crowd. My wife was unable to finish most of her her dish, and decided to take it home. She was quite annoyed when she got home and found out she had someone else's doggie bag. The wait staff need to either be trained or upgraded. There is a notable drop off in the quality of the service.
We will go back the food is consistently very good, and the staff tries their best to be accommodating. I expect based our familiarity with the Maitre D that they will make the adjustment."

"Great menu that even a vegetarian can love. Food is fresh with great flavor. We have come in the past for the live music, only on certain nights, but we had a great evening without the live show."

"First time visitors (went as venue for great pianist) were impressed with the food theme, but not knocked-out. We can never understand how servers can fail to remember who ordered what. Maybe its that multiple servers at one table thing. Wouldn't return without a reason to (a.k.a. great jazz piano)."

"We waited an hour and a half for our food and they forgot the appetizer, they asked if they could bring it during the main course. There was no connection between the wait staff and the kitchen. The food portions were small.
The restaurant did apologize for the appetizer mix up and comp us a small desert for 2 but still took another 15 to 20 minutes for the bill and the return of our credit card."

"I booked the Hisbiscus mainly to see the entertainment - Madame Pat Tandy. Upon arriving I was happy to see a parking lot. I was greeted very professionally and nice. The dining room was very quaint and romantic. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely visit again."

"The food was ample and great! The ambiance was very nice with jazz playing during brunch. Special juices are charged 3.50 a piece without notification, so be careful!"

"The service was really not good. While staff was friendly, they did not point out where the buffet area was, nor did they stop and check on us or offer us drinks. Also, I utilized a living social deal where it DID NOT stipulate they would include tip - and they included a 20% tip which was absolutely not warranted."

"First, the restaurant is in the basement of the Best Western which does not sound so nice, but you have to ignore it in order to enjoy your experience. Once you get downstairs you see this place that feels like you went away for a while. It's a small restaurant with a varied menu. If you are a little afraid of the spicy stuff, they have things that are more American. The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat. I went there on a Saturday night when they had music. It is not too loud no matter where you sit, and we sat right in front of them. They played reggae and other music with a Caribbean feel. I had the Oxtails and my wife had the Sea Bass. Both excellent. Salad was very good. We will definitely go again."
