"Took a very "valuable" client and his wife to dinner here. Everyone had an excellent time. The food was delicious! One thing I can say that puts Ruffinos above other restaurants in the area is, they make a good cocktail! Other places try and limit the amount of alcohol in a drink and it reflects in a sub-standard cocktail. Ruffino's is our favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge!"

Salad bit of an afterthought large plate of chopped lettuce...
Waiter a bit inexperienced for fine dining, no idea which side to serve/clear from, unaware what cutlery placement means I am finished or I am still eating.
When told the pepper mill on the table was empty, his response " there is a shaker of ground pepper on the table!"

"Went for the hubby's birthday and promotion. We were promtly seated. We were pleased with the seating since we have been placed in the bar area before which is not as nice, much more casual. Peter our waiter was very nice. The food there has always been superb and we were not disappointed! When our wine was brought out, the sommelier brought us tapas as well. The dessert, was awesome! The only thing is the noise level, hard to hear everything"

"My all time favorite reaturant. Not just the hot spot to be, filled with history and an exceptional atmosphere, but has some of the most unique, perfectly prepared food I've ever had. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone who doesn't mind spending a pretty penny for the best meal of their lives."

"My overall experience at Ruffino's was good. The food came out on time and hot. The server was a little slow and somewhat inattentive. For example, we got our appetizer before our drinks. We ordered a water and a Sprite, so its not like we had to wait for the bartender to mix a cocktail. We had to wait for refills also. The three sections of entrees were steaks, seafood and Italian. I found the selection to be somewhat limited. There was no t-bone or rib eye on the menu, and the seafood section was limited to a few fish selections with different toppings. The dessert menu was full of classics, and our desert was excellent. I would have preferred to get my coffee before the dessert came out."
