"The staff used to be very professional. Now it is all teenagers (newly hired) who are more annoying than helpful. Ram's Head was always a 'Must Stop for Dinner' on the way to A.C. Now I will be looking for better accommodations for dining in the future. What a shame."

"I have eaten at the rams head many times, and the food has always been outstanding but since Chef Luigi left, it's just not the same. The food defiantly took a turn for the worse after Chef Luigi left. The Rams Head should hire another "heavyweight" chef to take Chef Luigi's place."

"granted it was restaurant week, but the restaurant was severely understaffed or unprepared for the volume. we arrived at 7:30 for our 8:00 reservation so that we could have a drink in the bar first. it took 15 minutes just to get a drink. we were sat at 8:10, perfectly acceptable, but we didn't see a server for 10 minutes. we received our 1st course and as we were finishing it arrived again! not too complain about free food, but it showed the disorganization. we waited at least an hour from the time our second round of appetizers until our entrees arrived. finally, the dessert cart took at least 25 minutes to show up after we finished our entrees. the food was fine, nothing special but not poor either. my 1st trip here was likely my last."

"I went for Restaurant Week the 1st week. I had the Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp and they were amazing, tasty & JUMBO. They were so good, that I returned the 2nd week because they extended Restaurant Week. I was very disappointed. Jumbo shouldnt have been mentioned on the menu because they were VERY SMALL. I complained about the size & the waitress stated that it was the last day of Restaurant Week. I dont understand what that had do with it, especially when I'm a paying customer. Also, the menu on the website stated that Seafood Broiled Combination was an appetizer. But the restaurant stated it was a entree'. My co-worker stated they allowed her to select it as an appetizer. I guess it depends on who you know. All the staff was very nice."

"Beautiful venue, fit for special occasions for couples, small parties, also banquet facilities available. Normally a bit pricey, and well worth it for the experience of fine dining and attentive service, but we took advantage of the special "restaurant week" pricing, and visited this restaurant twice for lunch in a two-week period. Their chicken pot-pies served in a hot copper kettle were outstanding!!!!"

"We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation & were asked to wait despite the fact that half the tables, including ours, were empty. Two other groups came in & sat right down. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for our drinks. We had to wait 30 minutes for extra butter, 45 minutes for a second drink. My wife & daughters steaks were under cooked. The food runner was asked to wait but walked away. We had to get up & find someone to take the steaks back to the kitchen. At the end of the meal they brought a cookie tray & asked if we would like a cookie. There were 2 cookies for 4 people! Really? Why bother? The whole meal we felt ignored. We sat down at 7PM & left at 9:20PM. Last year we had slow service but they were busy. No so this year."

"We were put in a back room. We were a party of eight. When we were being seated I asked for main dining room, I was told there were no large tables open. There were when I went to look. We ordered our meals, more than an hour later our appetizers came out. We had salad and waited an hour for next course at 9pm. Our server apologized profusely and comped our 2 iced teas on the table. I think our party in the back room was forgotten? The rest of the meal was timely and well served. I would not have any kind of large party here, we felt forgotten in the back room."

"We took advantage of the restaurant week special as we had not visited the Ram's Head in quite some time. The food was very good, but not outstanding. The lobster bisque soup was selected by all four in our party and it was very tasty. The sample of the cream of asparagus soup was EXCELLENT! Two of us had the filet and although it was good there still was some grisle. One in our party had the salmon and indicated that it was very good although a little dry - the other had the seafood combination and indicated that it was excellent. We are were pleased with the dessert tray - our selection included cheesecake, key lime pie and a chocolate cherry pie. The coffee was excellent. Our waiter and waitress team were very friendly and helpful."

"We have been going to Rams Head Inn for over 30 years. It is our special occasion place. We live in Monmouth County and it is a 1 hr drive, but always worth it until this past Saturday evening. It was AC restaurant week. We both had to send our entrees back because they were not warm. There always was a jacket requirement for men - so many men looked like slobs that should have been strolling on the AC boardway. If this had been our 1st visit to this restaurant, we would never go back!"

"My husband and I went for lunch during A/C Restaurant Week for the first time to the Rams Head Inn. The appetizer of smoked salmon was outstanding as was the rest of our lunch. The service was classic with attention to detail. The space is also lovely. All-in-all a wonderful afternoon.
My only negative comment would be that, although impressive looking, the desserts probably weren't made in-house and they ran out of a few things on the dessert cart."

"This was our second visit in the past month; our first visit was for our anniversary and the second was for restaurant week. Both visits we were extremely pleased to have had Jordan as our server. He was a pleasure to have; he is very excited and welcoming during the meal. Jordan always pays attention to the little details and takes his time to conversation with the guests."

"We tried the Ram's Head Inn during restaurant week. We had never been there before since we are from further North in NJ, but always wanted to try it. We had an excellent meal at a great value. The wait staff was outstanding. They were there whenever we needed them, but did not hover over us. Special kudos for the dessert cart!"
