Since its opening in 1956, The Manor has meant many things to many people; elegant dining in The Terrace Lounge, their World-Famous Lobster Buffet, memorable weddings and other family celebrations, business meetings and dinners in their private dining rooms. Whether it be for an intimate dinner for two or a party of 200, The Manor has always been considered to be the premier establishment to make any event extra special. "I hadn't been to the Manor in years but I thought of it when we wanted to celebrate a friends major anniversary. This was always a wonderful place to celebrate. What a disappointment! Physically, it looks like the4 owners are living on past glory. Little had been done to freshen up the place. One entered the main lobby from the valet through a dimly lit boring entrance. When in the lobby, none of the three in attendance bothered to greet us despite their having little to do. The place was nearly empty on this Wednesday nightThe Caesar Salad, prepared tableside had always been a specialty. Tonight, it was bland and tasted like the preparer had left out the cheese. It was dull.The waiters were very attentive but couldn't make up for the food"

"I went for a special occasion with my family. While the surroundings are very pretty and the wait staff was - at least when we first arrived - attentive, I found the food only so-so. My braised lobster with sweet butter and risotto was mushy and lukewarm for $40. And as it is with most expensive restaurants, don't expect a lot of food. The "finger" deserts were HORRIBLE. Could not discern a single one. Overall this is a "just for show" restaurant. Not quality food dining."

"What a WOW evening. Took grown daughter for a special night just for her - and the Manor staff made it perfect. Ambiance, beautiful sunset, fabulous well and properly trained staff, and most importantly the food perfectly prepared and presented. It being BYO night was the icing on the evening as my bottle of aged Insignia was top notch. It is too bad diners listen to nabobs who dis this establishment as a "was been". Old world service and now food is what I want."

"We were so happy there, as always! We have made it a tradition to go there for my mothere birthday. The manor is the yardstick by which we measure other restaurants. I have to tell you - - NONE can compare. It makes no differance how much you spend or which state you are eating in. The maor is in a class all it's own. We were please that one of the waiters recognized us from last year. The piano player is great, as well. We love those Frank Sinatra melodies."

"Food is excellent, Service couldn't be better! Great for an Anniversary or Birthday celebration. I've dined here many times and have NEVER had a complaint about the food or service. It is definitely special. Much more comfortable than many of the other "elegant dining" restaurants in the area."

"We have dined at the Manor for decades and enjoy celebrating special occasions here.
The wait staff are perfect, perfect service, but not intrusive,.Appetizers were delicious, and the main courses were outstanding. We were early so we went into the Terace Lounge for drinks.
Everyone (6)in our party commented how hot it was in this room.
Understand, this was the same room that we were to dine in.
When I ordered our drinks I commented to the bartender that it was pretty hot in here. He immediately answered snidely , no its not its perfect?! I thought to myself nice way to treat a customer. He was in a shirt with vest and every man in the place was wearing a suit I said to him maybe for you it's perfect but not for the rest of us. Same r"

"This was easily the single best dining experience I have ever had in my life. The food was remarkable, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was just right. I went there for dinner a few nights ago for a special occasion, and the entire experience was more than I could have asked for. As far as the food is concerned, it was the best bowl of lobster bisque I have ever tasked, the lobster entrée was prepared just right, and the desert selection and quality was second to none."

"Can't say enough about the truly extraordinary experience we had at The Manor. From the extensive wine list, to the incredible service (both informative, friendly and always ready to serve you with a smile) and the food, wow the best meal we have had in a long time.
