Pacific'O
Sunset dining at its best! Pacific’O is located on Lahaina's most beautiful white sand beach with panoramic views of three neighboring islands. This was the chosen residence and "playground" for Hawaiian royalty; here ancient kings and queens feasted and made merry. Today, enjoy the same pleasures in Pacific'O's open air dining room or on the romantic beachside patio. Long recognized as a leader in local, organic dining; Pacific'O was the first to establish their very own island farm. Each day the table is set with just harvested macrobiotic vegetables and fruit; and local fishermen deliver fresh fish still dripping from the sea. Pacific'O is a local favorite since opening in 1993.

"We've been coming to Maui regularly (1-3 times per year) for 10 years. Over that time, many restaurants have come and gone. One of the reliable ones, with very good food and no flaws is Pacific'O. Their farm to table practice is real, their fish is fresh and preparations are superb, the service is great and the ambiance is nice."

"The outside seating was occupied by large groups seemingly from cruise ships. The smaller parties were all dining inside. The fish we ordered was the fresh catch of the day. It was the most poorly prepared fish we had while on our 2 week vacation. It was over cooked and did not have much flavor. I can prepare it better myself at home. We were offered a free desert. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. There are so many better offerings at less cost on Maui."

"What a disappointment! Pacifico used to be a favorite restaurant in Maui but no more. The food is now only fair with foamy sauces and higher prices. My favorite seared ahi dish was cut with Ono and swimming in a sauce. Yes, the view is wonderful but the restaurant is not. A total waste of money. FYI the martinis were watery, too."

"Wow. When everything from the homemade bread to the incredible French press coffee is excellent, there is enough said. The ceviche was the best I have had since my vacation in Cabo 8 years ago. The seafood chowder was creative, hearty and very flavorful. The macadamia coconut caramel ice cream- HOME RUN. The best ice cream I have had in a long time- rich, creamy and amazing texture."

"Very nice place. Food was good, not great. It could have been an off night, but it shouldnt have been, it was Easter Sunday. It's in a great location, right on the beach. Perfect sunsets. Right next door is a Luau so you get the sounds of that while eating, which was kind of nice. If you are deciding between this and one of the Tourist traps, go here for sure, this isn't one & it's way better."

"A diamond in the rough; a true gem. Lahaina suffers from a lot of overpriced tourist traps. This is not one! High quality ingredients, prepared with aloha. We visited O'O Farms on Maui and can confirm the freshness and quality. Have the Aina coffee: locally grown and roasted.
Visit after 6:30pm to hear sounds of the Feast at Lele at a pleasant volume next door. Some tables even offer (an obstructed) view of the luau."

"We've been here several times & it is good, but not as good as it once was. The ahi tower appetizer was bland tasting & I'm not sure why. We've had it many times & always enjoyed it. The burgundy white wine was excellent & the waiter was VERY knowledgeable about wines & most helpful. The monchoong (sp?) was oveclooked for one of us, which made it quite dry. The wait staff was courteous & most helpful, yet we had to point out 2 mistakes on our bill. All in all, I was disappointed in our meal, especially considering the cost of it. My spouse was a bit more satisfied."

"Food was absolutely delicious - started with the shrimp won tons - not greasy and had a spicy/sweet dipping sauce. The strawberry lychee martini was very fresh and used actual strawberries not syrup. Other cocktails were also well poured. I ordered mahi with a light citrus sauce served with black and white rice and veggies and my husband ordered the filet mignon and fries. Both were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. Will make a point of returning next time I am in Maui."

"Superb dinner for four at sunset. Seating is right on the beach. As the sun sets behind Lanai in the distance, the waves gently rolling up on the beach...this is a wonderful experience. The food is wonderful, from a starting salad to the fresh fish plates delivered by a cool wait staff. Wines are reasonably priced and great quality. Our waiter recommended juts the right wine, a Riesling spaetlaze just perfect for the occasion. Desert was superb as well. Just a wonderful evening all around."

"Marginal opakapaka. We have been to Pacifico before and have had good food. This time, however, three of us got the opakapaka. We all agreed it was not only overcooked, but very fishy. And, they charged us a $5 up charge, which brought the cost to a whopping $42 for a not even OK piece of fish."

"Three years in a row we stop here and we'd definitely stop again. This year they were out of the Ahi entree at 6:30p. That seems a bit early and a little disappointing. Still food is great.
A silly thing but I love that they offer my 4-yr old a hot dog (many fancy restaurants like Gerard's seem to think my 4-yr old should have the palette of a 30+ yr old)."

"This is one of the best locations on Maui! Farm to table = so fresh & yummy. The fish of the day never disappoints. We found ourselves back here for lunch, dinner, or beverages at least once each day. Travis (bartender) makes the best drinks we've ever had. Fresh, clean, tasty as heck. Thanks to the entire staff for such a wonderful dining experience! Tip: hit Pacific'o at 6:30 so you can catch the sunset over Lanai. Also, you can't go wrong with any dish or drink (seriously, we tried them all)."

"The food was good, but not great for the price. We were there 10 yrs ago and it was great but the whole building and area is getting old and run down. They are doing a renovation so Im sure when its done it will be a better experience. Probably would not go back, too many other ones out there that can top this one."

"We loved our trip to Pacific'O. The chef has a relationship with local fishermen to get the pick of their harvest each day. They also manage their own organic farm so the salads actually have flavor. Besides the outstanding food quality, the service was tremendous. We were caught in Whale spotting traffic, and they were very gracious in accommodating our delay. Their house merlot is fantastic. Really, really delicious."
