The legendary culinary vision of Roy Yamaguchi can be enjoyed right here in Rancho Mirage. At Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, our menu features the finest seafood with a focus on delicacies from the oceans around Hawaii. The Rancho Mirage restaurant is located across Highway 111 from The River. Amenities include an exhibition kitchen with an inviting chef's counter and a spacious dining room with three private rooms to accommodate special events of any size. Chef Charles Andres brings his imagination and artistry to the plate every night. Educated in Maui through years of tutelage by Chef Roy, Charles brings a refreshed inspiration to the kitchen. "Daniella was our server. She was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. We were there for a friend's Birthday. The restaurant provides a dessert and photo, nice touch. They don't usually email photo, but Daniella took our email and had the manager send it to us the next day. The prix fix dinner is a good value and substitutions (with an upcharge for more exp items) were no problem. The Filet Mignon was excellent. Def a place we will return."

"Because it was a nice place, I rated it a "4", but I doubt that I will go back. It is not that it was so bad, but there are so many really good places to eat in the desert that I would probably not see the necessity to visit again."

"Roy's is a true gem. Right when we walked in the door we were treated like royalty. We had a group of 8 and 4 of them were kids. They had a toy chest for the kids to pick out a toy which I thought was just great. It was our anniversary and they had a nice keepsake letter on the table commemorating the evening . They took a picture of our group and gave it to us in a little frame. Now as for the food, WOW! The butterfish was so good and even though this is a seafood place, their hangar steak was really unbelievable. This is a restaurant that does not disappoint. Every time we go to the desert we go to Roy's.. Oh, and the service is top notch all the way around. Definitely reccommend ."

"The food was outstanding at this Roy's location. The restaurant was very busy due to spring break. We were still taken care of quite well and sent complimentary potstickers as our entrees were slow to arrive.
Our server was a tad irritating because he oversold but we were able to overlook that and enjoyed our meal."

"My future wife, our wedding is next week, asked to go to Roy's in Rancho Mirage for her birthday. Joe our waiter, Cameron and Pam the managers, couldn't have been nicer to her. First the dinner was excellent and well presented and then the dessert tray even included, written in chocolate, a happy birthday personal message. Every one made iver her. I especially liked the mussel and clam h'orderves. My main course was shrimp and hers was macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi. Both were delicious. Our reservations on a Thursday night were at 7:00. We were seated promptly even though they were crowded. It was noisy because of the crowd. It may have been better if we had gone at five thirty or six. We will definitely go back again."

"I love Roy's for kids. The staff greets them with edamame and then follows it with a quesadilla. Their desserts came with their names written on the plates in chocolate. Nice wine and food for us too so it is a best of both worlds spot when we vacation."

"The food was delicious, as is the staus quo at all Roy's (I have dined at eight of them!), the service was very good, however, I was not very pleased that I was put into a room that seemed as if it was normally used as a banquet room or for overflow. Especially considering the fact that I am an OpenTable VIP member, and specifically asked for a nice, romantic booth or table. But, other than that, everything else was very nice!"

"We enjoyed our dinner. The food as always was outstanding with great selections and beautiful presentation. The service was good although at times we felt rushed as when the plates were cleared as individuals were finished eating not the whole table. "I celebrated my birthday and let the restaurant know when I made the reservation. When I arrived, they had a special, pre-printed personalized menu wishing me Happy Birthday! A very nice touch. Server was knowledgeable and professional. My opakapaka was "just not right", and it was replaced very efficiently with a terrific macadamia-crusted mahi mahi. I was presented with a beautiful personalized dessert consisting of chocolate chip ice cream sandwich (with Blue Bell ice cream - yum!), and mango sorbet as well. All in all, a wonderful evening and I plan to return when I am in Palm Springs again."

"Had the shellfish combo. Crabcake was terrible. Trader joe's is better. Risotto had no taste. Lobster California roll tasted just like a regular cal roll. Didn't see or taste any lobster. Waited for 15 mins for my desserts and finally just cancelled it and paid and left.
People were very friendly and courteous, but the food and the delay of the dessert was very disappointing."

"Pork was a little dry, but still flavorful. Our waiter was very friendly and right on top of our needs but left us alone. A little bit dark but it was romantic. Some noise but that was do to the two different groups."

"Roy's has great food, and the service is usually good. The layout of the restaurant makes it noisy and loud. While I was dining I could hear two conversations, one at the table behind me and one at the table in front of me, which was distracting and annoying. I would not say that this is the restaurant for an intimate dinner or a romantic dinner. The bar is not a vibrant bar scene it's small and the servers often will forget to place your appetizer order, which happened recently and interrupted the flow if our evening."

"This is an exceedingly well-managed restaurant, with the staff trained to be very gracious to the diners. We were at Roy's to celebrate our anniversary, having done so there a prior year. Then, as most recently, we were so pleased that the restaurant has available a camera to memorialize the event, with the photograph presented at the end of the meal. The only criticism we can make, and it is a slight one, is that the wine we ordered was out of stock."

"We were impressed by David's excellent service. Explained the menu, requested our daughter's name (which later turned up on a delightful birthday plate), took our picture and returned at the end of our evening with a pair of photos of the occasion. We had a greast time!"

"First, insist on a table served by "Super Carlos". He made the evening for my wife and daughter with his charm and savoir fare! Next order anything that catches your eye. It is all fabulous. The fish is, of course, central to the menu and simply fabulous. Many species you only find in the Pacific and especially Polynesia. That is not to say the salmon and other domestic fish are not well represented Cooked to perfection with delicate sauces each appropriately spiced to bring out the favors of the fish we took advantage of by ordering the trilogy offerings. All this does not mean there are meat entrees. My daughter loved her filet cooked expertly medium rare with an excellent fresh mushroom topping."
