The legendary culinary vision of Roy Yamaguchi can be enjoyed right here in Plano. At Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, our menu features the finest seafood with a focus on delicacies from the oceans around Hawaii. Each creation is a fusion of flavors found in our freshest local ingredients with European sauces and bold Asian spices and served with the spirit of Aloha, creating a dining experience that leaves you feeling like you’ve found paradise. The Plano restaurant is located on the East side of the North Dallas Tollway between the Park and Parker exit and features an exciting exhibition kitchen and beautiful bar that hosts a happening Aloha Hour six days a week. In the kitchen, Chef Scott Nakachi brings his imagination and artistry to the plate every night. Having cooked with Roy for eight years, Scott has learned the art of balancing flavors and cutting edge cooking techniques. "Thank you for making my birthday a very nice one! Food was delicious! I want more! Staff was very nice and interested in our dining experience and wanting us to have a great time. My parents said it was the best meal they have had in Dallas so far. They moved here last September.

"The service was excellent. Their signature dish, the butter fish was declared outstanding by the husband. The beef short rib was very fatty. The restaurant did try and rectify it and the second piece was less fatty. Would not recommend ordering this which is why the food only got a good. After their edamame starter and calamari appetizer we were too full to have dessert which looked good."

"Had heard rave reviews from a client. Did not live up to my expectations at all. Waiter was great but the food was good at best. The chef sent over a complimentary amuse bouche when he found out we were newbies. But honestly it was not good at all. It was a crab potsticker and it tasted a bit over ground and over cooked. "Wow! What an amazing experience! My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his birthday, I added a note about it when I made the reservation and they put an adorable little placard on the table that said "happy birthday" with some very cute birthday confettie to decorate. I thought it was a really thoughtful touch to the table. We had not dined here before and our server ,Victoria, was extremely helpful and very informative. I really liked the fact that she was so knowledgable about the menu and was able to recommend some wonderful things for us to try. I had the shellfish sampler for my entree and it was DIVINE. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone I know to come and check this place out as well!!"

"I had called in advance and told them it was my wifes' birthday and said I wanted to book with them and they sounded great. I got a call back asking what was my wifes' name and I told the. Well we arrived at the restaurant and there was nothing special done to our table. But a lady came by while we were seated an sprinkled stuff on the table and said she was sorry that it wasn't there when we first sat. Well they knew we were coming and someone droppped the ball. Luckily this was our last stop on a wonderful day otherwise for her. She was forgiving but I can't forget.

"My fiancé and I recently ate at Roy's in Plano for Valentine's Day. Although I was unaware, the restaurant had a preset menu for the evening. We always split our food, and the restaurant allowed us to split one portion. The food was excellent! We started with the edamame, flavored with a salty/spiced seasoning, which was tasty. We then split the lobster ravioli, and a salad. Both were very good. The meal was amazing! We selected the macadamia nut risotto with lobster tail, 2 shrimp, 1 scallop, and 1 crab cake, with asparagus! This was to date my most favorite meal at Roy's in Plano, only outdone by the Roy's Kaanapali. And to finish out meal, we had the fabulous chocolate soufflé with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert! Yummie!"

"The food was great. I love how the chef sent out some crab dim-sum since it was our first time. Everything that we ordered - I had the surf and turf, boyfriend had the short ribs - was delicious. The lobster was the best I've ever had. The short ribs were also the best either one of us has ever enjoyed. The upsidedown pineapple cake is out of this world. Our server, Chris, took great care of us. My only complaint is that when we walked in, the lady manager (maybe hostess) barely acknowledged us. "The food was outstanding at Roy's. We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary with friends. Three of us had the sea bass and one had the ahi tuna. The fish was absolutely delicious! We also shared our apple/walnut salads each with our spouses, along with scrumptious desserts.
We were told that each entree came with a starch. Our sea bass had only a few flat pea pods on the plate. If that was our starch, I am amazed. We were expecting rice or potatoes or ...? Also, the waiter poured iced tea for 2 of us and said that was the last of the tea. What??? Our meal was over $200. Surely more tea could have been made. After serving coffees to two of us, the waiter never returned to see if we wanted more."

"We love Roy's. Once again, a great dinner, perfectly prepared and presented food with service that is top notch. Victor, our server, was great! I had the scallops and my wife the Ahi tuna. We like to go late on a Friday or Saturday night. Easy to get in and, unlike most places when you go late, th kitchen staff is still on their game and not focusing on closing down."

"Although our wait person was very energetic and friendly, we thought it odd we had to wait nearly 30 min. for our wine selection. It was another 15 min. before our order was taken. Did not seem that busy for a Mon. night. The food was delicious, however, my husband was a little disappointed with the trio plate as there was only a couple of bites of each item. Good thing he ordered a salad or I would have had to make something to eat when we got home."
