Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded May 1965 in New Orleans by Ruth Fertel. Our specialty is aged corn-fed USDA prime beef, broiled in a trademark 1800 degree oven and served on a plate heated to 500 degrees to ensure the steak is sizzling hot. We also offer fresh seafood including live Maine lobster, lobster tail & Atlantic salmon. Private dining rooms available for groups of 10-100.

"The food was excellent - served hot and the steaks were superb. Since this is my second review, this one was much better than the last review I submitted. Two years ago, I ordered halibut which was rather dry and I gave a negative review. Since that experience, I've ordered the steak you are famous for. But overall, I enjoyed the ambience and the courteous wait staff."

"We started out with oysters rockefeller and the Sriracha shrimp. The oysters were pathetic, very tiny oysters flooded with chees and sauce. The oysters were so tiny we could hardly taste them. The chef should of cut the toppings in half because of their size. The shrimp were delicious and flavorful with sweet and spicy playing nicely with a slight crunch. I ordered the cowboy ribeye and my wife and son shared the porterhouse for 2. My steak was ordered medium rare as was the porterhouse, and both came as ordered. The porterhouse had a nice char while my ribeye did not. Why would you serve 2 steaks to a table so differently. I have never seen an uncharred cowboy ribeye. I would of said something, but it being a celebratory dinner, i didn't"

"This restaurant is the example all restaurants should follow if you truly want the perfect dining experience. Every expectation we had was surpassed and then we were delighted to be treated like we were truly special.
I recommend highly to anyone who wants the day to be the memory of a lifetime. I would recommend to men about to propose, or like us, just wanting to say "I love you and you're worth it" ~~ even after all these years.
We were truly blessed at our Easter meal!"

"We've been to Ruth Chris many times and have had a great experience. It was just an "off" night for Ruth Chris on 30 Mar, as it was too busy with many foreign visitors. The kitchen crew, wait staff, and managers found it difficult to provide the typical excellent service we are used to having there, but we'll be back (on a quiter night)."

"We do not have a Ruth's Chris in Billings, Montana. It was an extra special treat to spend our 41st anniversary there. Slight problem, they made correct very quickly, and compensated far beyond necessary.
The fresh rose pedals on the table and take home photo added to the festivity of the ocasion.
Their fresh bread & butter are the best of any restaurant we have visited.

"We have been there other times when there wasn't a Valentine's Day rush, and every time the food is wonderful. This time, a steak was improperly cooked and quickly and kindly replaced.

"OK, we've been coming to this Ruth's Chris since the space was converted from the Spanish restaurant that used to be there in the 80's. I have had dozen's of business and special occasion dinners here. This time the food was very good. I would give it 4.5 stars. But just a tiny bit "off" the usual experience. Server Jeff was good, but not at the level it should be. We had to ask for water a couple of times, request bread, flag a bus-person to clear, etc. In a normal environ that would be OK but when you are fine dining at $100 per person for a meal you should never have to flag a staff person. Steak was superb but a tiny bit charred on one side so the kitchen gets 4.5 star and not the usual 5 star."

"Our food and the workers/servers were outstanding; however, I would to file a complaint about the manager who did NOT make us feel welcomed at the restaurant, so that made our overall experience at this Ruth Chris "poor." We would like this complaint to made known to the Ruth Chris corporation. This manager went around welcoming and speaking to other diners who were at the restaurant. I turned to look at him, as he was a table next to us, and he just glared and back away and went on to other tables welcoming other diners. Later when diners were placed at the table next to us, he came up to them to welcome them; however, we were avoided once again. I hope this rude treatment wasn't because we were Asians.
