"We are snowbirds from Chicago and have had our share of great steaks. This place is the best in Tucson, and would stack up favorably with the great steakhouses of Chicago. We really enjoyed the New York strip and on prior occasions have also enjoyed the filet mignon. The sides are delicious and large enough to share. The service is friendly and attentive, and there is a wonderful selection of fairly priced red wines!. If you are not a steak lover, there are lots of fish, seafood and other selections as well.
We have been to the others in Tucson and this is clearly the best!"

"This is part of the Flemings chain, but each restaurant is locally owned. The pair that own the Tucson franchise have done a great job. An attractive large bar and eating area plus two side rooms with quieter tables. They have a range of food besides excellent steaks including fish and sides. A large and excellent wine list and 100 wines by the glass complete the scene. Besides all this the food and service are excellent as well. No view but otherwise great. Among the top 3 restaurants in Tucson."

"Went out for a birthday celebration. The service was good, but not up to the standard of a restaurant of this caliber. Waiter was very pleasant, but took too long with drinks and bread throughout the meal. Manager was very friendly after I asked for my steak to be cooked a bit more, and they even provided an extra order of mashed potatoes on the house when they brought my plate back. Was given the typical birthday truffles complimentary. Overall, very satisfying but could do with improvement."

"In spite of being a national chain, Flemings in Tucson is the best steak restaurant in the area and a standout . The food was perfect with the bone-in filet rare and perfect. Their specialty sauces come on the side and were outstanding. We tried Chimichurri, Madeira, and Bearnaise and they were excellent. Extensive wine list and very good desserts. Service by Rachel was perfect - very attentive and professional and not intrusive. The dining area is not cramped and is decorated luxuriously as are many high end steak restaurants. This is an expensive evening but worth it for special occasions and as a nice treat."

"I like to compare Flemings to the the alternative steakhouses on good cruise lines. That's a good thing. People will pay more for high quality food, attentive service and a great ambience. We had two drinks in the bar while waiting (we arrived early for our reservation). Landis took care of us and she was perfect. The hostess let us know when the table was ready and one of the managers carried my wife's drink to the table. Shannon and Charlie were our food servers - also perfect service. We like to share meals so we don't eat too much. We had the excellent Flemings salad with cranberries & pecans followed by the small plate of colossal prawns and finished with the porcinni rubbed filet with gorgonzola cream sauce. Great experience!"

"What turns a steak into a $50 steak? Of the course the quality of the meat and the preparation must be the best. But the whole dining experience needs to be special -- everything from service, to sides, to ambiance and beyond. Flemings provided "very good" when I was looking for "great". You end up paying $50 for a $40 steak. Just a little disappointing."

"Took dad to Fleming's for his 80th b-day along with mom & signif other. We all ordered the prime rib dinner only offered on Sundays. Dinner included salad, main course, side dish, & dessert. While 3 of us had the Fleming's salad, my mom chose the modern ceasar. She thought it was too salty due to the fried capers & crisp prosciutto chips, I didn't mind it so much so we swapped salads. There was definitely a certain spice to it, although menu didn't say what it was. Prime rib was cooked to order & flavorful. Everyone ordered a different side; each one good. The server brought a combo dessert plate of walnut turtle pie, chocolate lava cake, & pistachio ice cream for my dad - delicious! Server was attentive & friendly, we would go back!"

"Really super beef with excellent side dishes. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Impressive! The onion rings were crisp and the batter adhered to the onions when they were cut. So often you eat pieces of the batter separately from the onion once you pick it up. The sauces were not to my liking but were well prepared. We had a lovely evening."

"We recently dined at Flemings for our anniversary. Flemings continues to uphold the finest standards in restaurant dining. Their food and service is simply unsurpassed in the Tucson area. It is inconceivable that a steak could be tastier and of higher quality; the only exception would be if they added a Kobe beef entry. The by-the-glass wine list is simply the best I've ever seen. Flemings sets a high bar and keeps delivering!"

"The steak was superbly presented and prepared. Despite the plush booths and chairs, the completely open and large dining area created a cafeteria-like ambiance (i.e., "buzzy" and no sense of intimacy). The wait staff was professional but somewhat overwhelmed, resulting in a notable lapse: the wine we ordered prior to selecting an entree was not served until after several minutes after our entree, and only then because we reminded the waitress.
All-in-all we'd probably try Flemings again, but in another location."

"We've dined at Fleming's before and always had outstanding meals & service, but on one of the busiest nights of the year, Valentine's, we had our best ever meal and the service was great. I like my steak very rare (and it was) and my husband likes his steak medium well (and it was). We shared the Fleming's potatoes & they were cooked & seasoned perfectly. Everything was beyond wonderful."

We are very glad that we did as our dining experience was superb.
I especially enjoyed the Sunday prime rib dinner which is a very good deal.

"As always, our dinners at Flemings were excellent and the service efficient, professional and very accommodating. Hubby and I shared a filet and lobster tails and it worked out perfectly with no take-home bag needed. Mother-in-law had small plate filet and loved it. Steaks done perfectly medium rare and delicious. Side dishes also excellent......I always order the creamed spinach with some cheddar cheese thrown in and they are always pleased to do it. Fleming's is one of our favorite restaurants in Tucson."

"VERY noisy restaurant. Bar scene impacts the total restaurant. Food is excellent. Steak cooked to perfection. Next time I would eat later in the evening with the hope that the bar noise would be subdued."

"Overall very good - some slight food preparations that were slightly not to our tastes, but not enough to ruin the meal and evening.
Lots of great choices on the menu, and would return to try other items at a future date.
Our dessert choice was "out of this world" --- the chocolate pie thing!!!!"

"We ordered prime rib, swordfish, filet/shrimp, mahi mahi, scallops and the food was perfectly done, good flavor, cooked to correct heat, delicious. Service was attentive, never ran low on drinks or bread, friendly, good memory on food allergies and drink orders. Restaurant busy the night we dined, a little noisy, asked for back room on purpose for conversation. Would eat there more often if closer to home."

"As always, the food at Fleming's was excellent with the steak prepared exactly right. The service on this visit was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. However, the noise level was so high, that it was very hard to have a conversation and this detracted from what would otherwise have been a nearly perfect experience."

"We have been to Flemings several times. The food is excellent, especially the onion soup and the steaks, and the service is very good. However, the acoustic "design" in the place makes conversation extremely difficult unless you like to eat and not carry on discussions."
