"The steaks were wonderful! tender and cooked to perfection! The sides were also delicious, I think between all of the guests we had most of them. The french fries were ok, the others were outstanding! it was a little loud, but not overwhelming. the wine was wonderful, we had two different bottles. and the cocktails were great as well. we made reservations from here and they called us to confirm them, and were very kind when we needed to add a person to our party."

"The location is ideal and is very close to the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The Fleming's Potatoes was delicious and the portion sizes are very generous.
We had a wonderful server who was very attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.
Overall, it is a wonderful place for couples and small groups. Highly recommended."

"I absolutely love Fleming's. I usually come here for special occasions because it's on the pricey side but the food is absolutely amazing. I mentioned that it was my boyfriend's birthday via Open Table, and the hostess/waitress acknowledged him throughout the night. The service was friendly, though we waited a little to get our food boxed and for our dessert. Apparently our dessert broke in the kitchen, so they made us a new one, and removed it from our bill, absolutely amazing! In addition, when we left, they complimented my boyfriend with a box of truffles and a $25 gift card to come back, which we ALWAYS do."

Seafood Tower for two was amazing - wine was perfect - Bread was delicious, salad was cold but maybe a bit small for sharing.
Filet was seasoned extra peppery but Very very (too) salty even when mixed with a bite of mashed potato, but cooked perfect. Extremely expensive, but perfect for a speacial occasion.
Birthday gift was unexpected and super generous.
We would do all but the Filet again."

The only disappointing thing was we arrived 10 minutes early, the small bar was overcrowded and the didn't seat us until 20 minutes after our reservation. Unfortunately the table we sat at had been open for 20 minutes before they sat us. Not sure what the issue had been."

"We live in San Diego and there is always a fear of places full of tourists.
We don't fear the tourists or dislike them, just the restaurants get very busy and wait times go up. There are so many places to go, why wait in line or for slow service?
The only risk at Flemings is that the place will be packed.

"We were very dissaponted in Flemings. We have heard that it is truly wonderful, but in fact it was the opposite. First, we had requested a booth, we did get one but 4 people could not eat comfortably at all. The table was so close that you could barely get out. We we asked to be moved to a table, we recieved a snippy response and it was not going to take two of their tables to accomodate the four of us. In the dining area we were in overall seemed small. Tables are very close to each other and when full was quite noisy. As far as being one of the better Steak restaurants in San Diego, don't bother. Though I had the bone in rib eye at the $49.00 price tag, ala carte, it was good but not worth the price tag."

"We had a delicious meal prepared very nicely with high quality ingredients. New iPad wine list feature is fun. It was my husband's birthday and he was treated to a special box of truffles to take home. Our server Margaret was excellent and also one of the floor managers who had some sommelier training (can't remember his name) was friendly and made sure things were going well."

"We are long standing customers at Fleming's and take all our out of town guests there too. We asked for "Maria's" section, as we like her very much and she is ALWAYS in the room with the booths behind the bar. However, on Valentine's Day, when we asked for her section, we were taken to the very back of the restaurant to a table against the wall. When we said we didn't want that table and were taken back up front to wait for a booth, "Casey" told us that the booths were all reserved for "Parties of Four". We sat in the bar and learned throughout the evening that many parties of two were being seated in booths. I stopped the older owner? gentleman who is always there and told her what happened. He said what Casey told us was not true"

"From Lindsey at the reception to Maria, the server, everything at Fleming's was just right. We had a beautiful evening at Fleming's. The food, as always, was delicious. Steak for me and salmon for my daughter. It was a special evening and a special occasion. The Fleming's salad is a new one that was very fresh and tasty."

"Sunday Prime Rib dinner was excellent - beef tender, great salad, sides, and dessert. Our server Margaret was very patient and helpful as I did not have my glasses and had trouble reading the menu. Rest of the wait staff were efficient and attentive as well. The hostess was very accomodating. We always enjoy eating here and will definately return for the great food and wine. Owner/manager also very attentive and appreciative to his customers."

"Their wedge salad is excellent. My steak was medium when I had asked for medium-rare, however it was very good. The wine they suggested was very good and so was everything else for the most part. The loaded potato was bland and even the butter on top was very low on salt. Thier steak knives are dull and end up tearing the meat - BAD for a steakhouse. We have far better knives at home. We had choc lava cake for dessert and I could taste flour indicating it was not cooked enough. If a restaurant cant excel in making very basic desserts then I am not going back for another round for sure."

"I was looking forward to my meal at Flemings all day long and it didn't disappoint! We were greeted and seated right when we arrived. Beer (St. Rouge's Red Ale) was excellent and the food was fantastic! I had the boneless Prime Ribeye which was cooked to perfection (Med. Rare). Waiter was prompt courteous and helpful with any questions."
